i found out when i did this that during the boss fight in the beginning before you trigger the fight a celestial nighthawk shot to the head will instakill and you can skip the entire encounter
I have the quest but it won’t let me emerge from the dark. When I pick up the light, there’s no timer, and when I try to dunk it, it says, “you remain in the dark.” I thought maybe I’d done the statues in the wrong order, so I left and input them again. Still no change. Am I softlocked?

I lit the lanterns at the start wrong on purpose to see what would happen. I still got the quest. Dunno if i accidentally spammed it so many times i ended up doing it right. Also, whats the point of the 2nd chest next to the one that spawns?
Thanks alot for the complete guide, I had to search another vid for the torch part, your part was too sped up. The rest was really helpful, kudos my brother in light.
Don’t know if you found the solution but you’ll have to go back to Eris after you get the tablet. Get the journey quest THEN you’ll be able to take the orb of light.
@@PartTimeGuardianThank you for the quick response. I have never completed any encounter in this dungeon (though I started playing in D1). I used the Crack behind the main tower to skip the first encounter. I was able to activate the "rock" in the top left door and go into the bottom center tunnel. There were no ogres and the platforms would not activate.
@@PartTimeGuardian I was on the correct step but it was being weird but i got it now, just gave up and retried it when i got back on and it worked, thanks!
@@PartTimeGuardian it’s all just a big chore. Non of it is fun. It’s a game and should be fun. But these things are like homework and the opposite of fun. Run here and do this in this order but the game doesn’t show you which order so you have to memorize it etc. do all these lost sectors that are a cake walk just to hit this code to go to next step. It’s just boring and unoriginal really. But I hate that you have to watch videos and memorize paths etc to do It. The game should give you hints or teach you where to go instead of just guessing over and over or memorizing the video. Call me knit picky but I just don’t do things in a game that are equivalent to a job. Bc it should be somewhat fun or challenging. Not just a chore.

If you read the item you gain from the chest, it tells you to go take it to Eris.

a great weapon to use is leviathan's breath because it can stun lock the boss and you can kill it without doing anything
took me awhile to understand the path for the lanterns. I accidentally found the hidden chest haha. Thank you for your guide!

Also the solution is pretty obvious, but there's an altar you have to place it at where you get the first ball
Yeah, I noticed shortly after that I was skipping the 1st altar. I didn’t expect there to be one so close.
EVERY VIDEO OF THIS QUEST SKIPS THAT YOU HAVE TO GO SPEAK WITH ERIS AFTER YOU UNLOCK THE BOX IN THE FIRST STEP...

There is a spot to light up right next to orb you need to interact with it.
4:25 - I was at that point last year(or 2022?) and nothing happened. People said, they have "fixed" that. I will try it again! New hope comes up!

i have the journey quest and i put the inital code in but when the chest spawns, i open the chest but i get nothing from it, any ideas why?
