Watch LADY WITH TURBAN. All people who think he can't draw WISH they could draw like this.. sculpturally like an Asaro head. Cuy is amazing and no one can make me think otherwise. New subscriber and his biggest fan. Be nice people. He is providing you with a lot of knowledge. Kudos to people who draw awful portaits but still try, but sometimes you just want to get it right before your paper wears out. Everyone has different goals. Just enjoyment is the best goal. Not everyone is cut out to be a professional.

Quy recommends everyone learn to draw by drawing every day. Listen to him on Portrait of Meghan. He is not suggesting people not learn to draw by showing this. For those who are judging, are you against measuring also? Every artist measures one shape against another even if it is subconscious. Stop with the negativity. This man is pure genius.

You are an amazing artist. Your portraits have the most beautiful skin tones - they seem to glow. You also explain things very well. Some people make unkind remarks because of envious feelings. Don't pay any attention to them.

Watch PORTRAIT OF MEGHAN... QUY CAN DRAW. AS QUY STATED, HE IS JUST SHOWING PEOPLE WHO ARE BEGINNERS HOW TO GET STARTED DRAWING FACES. SOME PEOPLE WOULD NEVER DRAW WITHOUT GRIDS OR TRACING PAPER.

This is cheating.....so in this case there is also the projector. I work without trickery. I thought you had a gift but in fact you are a technician. despite everything it is beautiful....With the help of a wand to take the proportions it works very well the old fashioned way.

Good grief! You are so misinformed! Cuong is a master at pastel, oil, charcoal and watercolor. You are probably one of those snobs that only want to work from life. You should check out more of his videos on Patreon or downloads from his website….

@@CuongNguyenArt You are right, the feat is naturally less great. But the whole thing is to keep the pleasure of drawing. I teased you a bit. ;)

How disgraceful to trace an image that you then paint and sell!!! Shame!

Most portrait painters do that. I am a beginning artist and I found out my teacher in the Professional Watercolor Society uses a projector to paint! I can draw better than she can but she is a good photographer and so the images are great. Lots of portrait artists and watercolorists in NYC do this. Not saying it is right, but it is done way more than people think.
