Thank you so much for this video. I am just viewing in 2024. You were excellent in explaining the colors and layers and obviously you are an amazing artist. I will try to follow you often in the future.
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial! After watching your tutorial I can't wait to start working with color for the first time! You are the best!!! Thank you!!!
I have learned much watching this fascinating work in progress. I have never heard of or seen the Verdaccio Technique. This video elevates above much on this platform. Thank you for sharing your expertise. From someone who just likes looking at art.
love the video but I wish you would name the glazing colors a little more precisely. TY however for a great video. I cannot find a lavendar color you used for the tone after the greens. I have 2 sets of pastels and all I came up with is a lightish pink? ty
Hello, thank you for the wonderful and beautiful video. Please, I have a question. Can the drawing method be applied to animals and birds? You know that they have hair or feathers in different colors. Thank you.
Nice work. I would like to try your method. I see you use stabilo carbatello pencils. Is it possible to give the color numbers of the ocher pencils, or of all the ones you use here? But the ocher pencils for sure. I can't really tell which one you use. For the green one I'm guessing at 570,585 and 575. Thanks in advance. Christiaan
Thanks for sharing this absolutely captivating process. One thought to the model because it's comparing to become a slave when the pose is during so long with the head tilted. Better to take a beautiful photograph then draw.
Wonderful work Guy. It would be nice to know the details of the very important sandpaper. What brand? What grit? Where to get it? Colors available? I hope you get to see this in March 2023. Thank you.
Are you sure? It doesn't look like grey to me. On my monitor it looks olive green. I would rather get ClaireFontaine pastel paper (less gritty) so pastels don't use up as fast but wonder if light green or light grey would be better. @@steveharris1974
Does anyone know where to get this color paper? It seems to be olive green on my monitor. I know Quy won't answer, but I would love some input from people what brand paper they used.
Hi, I'm trying learning this technic, but I think that it is not working on my drawing. The green color still is so visible and they don't remember color skin. I use the koh-i-noor crayons...
@@lisafred1362 It's more difficult than charcoal or graphite, you need to use a soft kneaded eraser, dab, don't rub. Also because pastel is so opaque you can just cover a mistake, but only if previous layers are applied lightly.
@@steveharris1974 Thanks for you answer steve.. unfortunately this are most expensive for my in this moment... I buy the Kalour pastel pencils... but the color gamma is a little bit diferent.. I hope traslate the colors between brands and make a good draw..
Thank you so much I must say that you Asians are amazing. Ive watched so many portrait paintings which seem complicated. But you with simple pencils get as good results and your method is so much easier to follow. But then as a race you are the most intelligent people on earth.
Meghan is an awesome model! It's nearly superhuman how her expression and the tilt of her head NEVER changes during hours of posing!
great artist and great model! owesome portrait!
