I just found you channel and am absolutely confused as to why you have less than 5k subscribers. Youre fun, engaging, sounds like a real person instead of droning on about photoshop and Final Cut instead of the real user experience, and the production quality level is top notch. Please help me understand why you haven't blown up bro.
You and me both Marco! I’m working at it but so far the magic sauce hasn’t happened yet. 😱 appreciate you watching and taking the time to throw a little encouragement my way. Means a lot!
I usually like 16:9 for bigger screens 14+ because I always work in split screen (side by side) and there is more content on 16:9 than 16:10 that way. I agree 3:2 looks great but only when using one application/window at a time.
Tom, you’re right for that type of work. I do split screen a bunch and struggle on laptops but on big monitors it’s awesome. It’s a trade off between the benefit of side by side vs. the extra usability of the height for sure. Thanks for watching and joining the chat with your experience. It always helps others to see the pros and cons from real world usage!
Okay, so I bought the Dell XPS 13 because of your video, but then I saw THIS video and I cancelled the order lol. I actually picked one of these up for $100 more than you got it for and its insane. I know it doesn't have a 4K or even an FHD display, and I do think the 720p camera sucks, but for this price I can get over it. THANK YOU for saving like $1,000 lol. Truthfully, its not my primary media device, it's strictly for work (non-design) so the resolution is perfect for my needs. If anything, it deters me from screwing around on it because the display isn't 4K. As a bonus, it didn't realize it did some cool stuff with the Galaxy ecosystem. I have an S22+ and Galaxy buds so its cool. Lastly the build quality is insane. It feels so much more expensive. Thanks again bro.
Dude. Glad you grabbed a bargain and are lovin’ it! You’re right on with the Samsung ecosystem apps. If you’re on galaxy for other tech it’s really cool and the closest you’ll get to Apple’s integration on windows! Enjoy and thanks a bunch for watching my vids 😱
Hey uncle Mike! I just wanted to say that I'm glad I found your channel this early because I KNOW that it will grow so much in no time. Your vids are pure quality and I love that you're always honest with your opinion of whatever you're reviewing. Keep it up, amazing content!! 👏 I loved the pictures by the way. I'll make sure to give the shop a good look.
Hey Gerardo! Thanks for watching buddy and for the sub! And yeah, let me know how you like the prints 😱. We’re pretty excited about the store and working on some other cool tech type stuff as well as some clothing. Let’s just say ‘Uncle Mikey’ might be making a bold statement soon 😂
Just found your channel as looking to get a laptop as been years since having one and my mobile phone company are doing some deals with laptops mainly the Samsung book line. Even tho lot of the stuff went over my head lol was still a very helpful and informal video. Keep up the fantastic work man surprised your channel hasn't blown up with subs. Well here's one to help you on your way.
I really like how your reviews are evolving. Have seen a few from you already and all of them have been very unique. Tbh while I still enjoyed the first ones those had a bit too little focus on the devices for my taste. - But now this reviewing style is great! Unique and professional - Definitely earned a sub ;)
Whoop whoop! Thanks for watching and the sub Zobie! Glad you're seeing the evolution as we work on improving the videos every single time 😱! Definitely enjoying playing with more b-roll shots...
I have the original galaxy book 360. Lovely device especially for drawing and watching movies. Photoshop, Illustrator, blender all work great. You can even run older games on it. Tried Arkham Asylum and Sleeping Dogs.
Thankyou for your reviews. it is a veritable jungle in the laptop world right now and replacing an 8 year old ASUS 2 in 1 with something updated was a challenge. Your videos helped immensely and after narrowing it down to the del xps 13, the samsung galaxy book 2 360 or the microsoft surface go 3 laptop i just ordered the samsung. it had the features and price i was looking for and your review was the closer. thanks!
It has been an excellent fit for my needs. I especially and thankful for the plethora of options for connecting things that were not available on the other choices. thanks again for your review. I even picked up the official samsung leather sleeve for it which completes the package nicely.@@mikedropstech
Hey Ruben! Thanks for watching and yeah, I’m so loving the screen but that lack of height in a small screen is tough. My iPad is way taller in landscape and it’s only 12.9”!
Fair point. The Samsung laptops add Samsung apps like Notes for example but the challenge is if someone is a Samsung phone user, all those Samsung apps are super helpful and provide a seamless experience to their phone. But if they're not, then we'd class them as bloatware so it makes it a little more challenging in how to describe what is and isn't bloatware. 😱
@@mikedropstech That’s interesting. I was kind of expecting a few trialware or crippled versions of 3rd party software to also be included. If it is mainly Samsung apps then that’s fine since they add value if you have a Samsung phone.
Your channel is gonna blow up man! Have been watching all your recent laptop review videos as I try to choose between a Galaxy book, XPS 13 and M2 Macbook Air :)
Greg buddy, you're my new BFF! Thanks for watching and taking the time to send a little encouragement my way! And that's a great choice of devices for sure!!
I think that 16:9 ratio is no problem. Anyway, we need to connect to a monitor, we can't work in a 13.3 inch laptop. I bought this galaxy 2 360 for just for the oled screen and 2in1 feature to see movies in couch (light weight) . For doing projects needed a monitor always.
Excellent review and got this into my consideration along with XPS 13. I think you nailed it though in that the 16:9 screen might be the showstopper. Tough because I like the graphite here over Dell's Umber color, plus the OLED screen. I have 4-5 months still though and apparently Samsung is launching a Galaxy Book 3 in a couple of weeks. If they follow the trend and move to 16:10 that would tip the scales. Fingers crossed!
I like the specs, but a lot of the people who have purchased these report that the screens are fragile. If I'm going to travel with it, I need the whole thing to be sturdy. Right now, my leading contender is the Surface Laptop Go 2.
I got a hold of both devices, and Surface Labtop go 2 is absolutely much sturdier. Everything about it is wonderful! Screen looks nicer, body looks nicer, no bloatwares, fast, and there's a hard case for it. Samsung is so fragile, not as sturdy as Surface, but at the end I chose Samsung cuz of ecosystem 🤣 the built-in camera software truly got me
I'm really struggling about getting the Galaxy book 2 360 or the book 2 360pro. I will use this laptop for studying and working. I really think I'm gonna need HDMI and USB A. but I think about the speakers, camera and the s-pen (that I can buy separately) and can't decide. I don't think there is a notable difference between i7 and i5 at least in 1240P and 1260P, but the available model is 1255U 16gb and 512 ssd. What do you think? Should I choose even with 1255U? I love your channel.
Hey buddy! Thanks for watching and happy to try and help. I've found for everyday, web and light use the U series chips do a great job AND give you better battery life. I've personally never found the need for an i7 in my laptop. I just want it thin and light with great battery life so don't sweat it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these unless you really need the power of the i7.
@@mikedropstech unfortunately i can't choose the i5 version because it is not available in my region. Thanks a lot! Just like someone else here said: your channel is really great, just a little time for it to grow a lot more. Keep it like that.
Good video. Thanks for the review. I've got a Galaxy book. S aid. I really like it. Super portable but it's getting to the end of his lifespan. I think it's the same size as the book two that you reviewing and I have to say the screen height the great for watching movies but it's not great for documents. Put two documents next to each other and you're going up and down all the time. Trying to get something done. But yeah I may pick this one up. The heat thing kind of worries me a little as my Galaxy book s. It ran. Cool. I know it's got a mobile chip in it so it's not the fastest thing in the world but it it never got hot so. And of course I wasn't doing video editing on it. Just word documents and that's kind of deal anyway. Thanks again
Hey Mike, great review! Was wondering if you'd be able to help me decide on what's best (value for money, quality, etc ) between the following: • ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 UX371EA (11th gen i7, 16GB, 1TB @ £899) • Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 (13", not pro!) (12th gen i5, 8GB, 256GB @ £599) Mainly looking for something to run light gaming (Asphalt 8 / 9) and general web surfing (UA-cam, Chrome). After having seen so many reviews, I thought maybe the Samsung could be a keeper? But I've also seen some scary posts about the Samsung one not working / switching on after a few weeks? :( So essentially still torn between the two. Any advice?
Hye buddy! I can tell you I bought 2 Samsung devices for a couple of staff on my team and we've had zero issues with them! And you'll get 12th Gen instead of 11th while saving 300 quid so it's a no brainer for me, Samsung all the way 😱
Hey Mike. Great review by the way. I love how you point out the positives and negatives. Although you paid a few bucks for the Samsung laptop at the same price range you can buy the tab S8 ultra. How does this compare to the laptop from a student's point of view. Someone who does lots of projects reads books, writes essays...... It would be interesting to see a comparison. I understand they have different os, but for cloud based office 365 and web browsing it doesn't really matter that much.
Hey Dorin! Thanks for watching 😀. For me, I love using my S8 Ultra but I still find myself reaching for a regular laptop to get stuff done. If I could only have one device, I'd still go traditional laptop over tablet 😟
Thanks for the video! Helped alot 👍 just need one for at home General stuff. You think the 8g reg model would do or would I need 16 pro? Chicago Love !
Hey Dirk, thanks for watching! For lightweight use, 8gb should be fine, although with some of the crazy deals, 16gb could be worth it if it's only a hundred bucks or so of a difference.
Great video mike. I’ve been looking at the book2 360 over the MacBook Air m1. Really hard decisions to be made. This my first laptop for somewhat medium use My question do Mike is the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 15.6" Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB. What’s your thoughts on it and if you made a video on it?
Hey Josh! Thanks for watching and joining the chat buddy. In my Yoga 9i video near the end I compare it to the 7i (13” model). I haven’t played with the 15 but they’re pretty similar other than the size. It’s definitely a step down vs. the 9i or Galaxy. They’re both thinner, feel a little nicer / more premium and for me, I’d probably skip the 7i no matter how good the deal.
Wow thank you for the reply! I agree I’m skipping the 7i. Now I have narrowed it down to just two laptops at my local Best Buy. The ASUS zenbook 14” 2.8K OLED i5 8GB for $599 or the MacBook Air 13.3" M1 8GB for $899. Help me decide! First laptop thanks man
The Pro has the higher performance chips, is a little thinner, has different ports (no HDMI or USB-A for example), battery is a little bigger and I think the webcam is upgraded also.
Nailed it - Nailed it - Nailed it. Loved the video ... and the tech is good. I am a surface user, and so is my family ... mainly because I buy their tech, and I am a surface user - this is circular, haha. One of the reasons I buy surface machines is that I want to buy them once every 3-4 years, and they just hold up so very well. So well made, and they do what they do on day 1 on the last day of year 3 or 4. I have liked the Samsung devices, but they just look like they would not last the same way. All our PCs have covers, so they are protected that way, but I just wonder about the Samsungs. What do you think? Surface devices are NOT cheap, but they are cost-effective if we have them for a long time - HOw well do you think the Samsung Galaxy NBook 360 would hold up to daily use and manipulation? Love to get your thoughts. BTW - absolutely fantastic banter - I love your take on things, and yes, I stayed till the very end. Great to see the shout-out appreciated. Lovely!!
Well hey buddy! I love the surface devices! I say it all the time that they’re the most complete package in terms of build quality and performance vs the MacBooks. The Samsung feels nice but it’s not in the same league as a surface from a build quality perspective, I don’t know that it would hold up as well over time but I don’t tend to keep devices for long so can’t really speak to that from experience. Anyone in the comments want to jump in?!
pls reply do samsung book 2 pro 360 i7 heats too much pls reply . my s22 ultra heats a lot and I have been thinking to shift to apple . so pls tell does it heat that much or not
I think you’ll find the i7 does get pretty warm and you will hear the fans in a quiet room. I5 would be better or you could go Apple if that’s important to you as no heat on the MacBook Air.

Hey, i've been looking for notebooks for a while now and this is one the of few that i might consider to buy(not the 360 version). the only thing that im afraid of are the hinges. I've read a couple of reviews and some of them said that their hinges broke easily. now im not sure if they just used it reklessly or if they're really that fragile. Does anyone have these things for a little longer than a couple of months and tell me their experience with the galaxy book 2 ?

Hey! I am planning to buy Samsung Galaxy book 2 pro 360, my main work would be video editing and works related to content creation! I am getting it for 895 USD because of the discount and stuff. But I am also getting an opportunity to purchase used and refurbished Macbook 15" 2019 for 662 USD. Please help me decide. For that kind of money I'd look for something Current in terms of processor etc. I picked up an open box HP Spectre 14 from BestBuy with the new Core Uktra i7 and 16gb of ram for less than $1000 and have been testing it. Great device and cutting edge for today.
Weeeelllll, I'm working on a giveaway but I'm not quite there yet to be able to giveaway a laptop 😱. I bought some for my team which is why I grabbed a few while they were on sale!
If they did a 16:10 aspect ratio and kept the same size chassis as he says he likes cause it gives him something to hold on to, then it wouldn't be a 13 inch screen. It would be a 14 or even 15 inch laptop. So while I agree with him on the aspect ratio, he's wrong to think he can have it all. 🤣
Dude... I want it all Dane! And with the size of the chin on that screen I think they could have pulled it off 😱. It's bigger than the chin on Thanos in Avengers 😂
This at about 750 is the greatest value hands down , remember if you need more graphics power it has a thunder port 4 and you can plug in a E-GPU And it has a HDMI !!! To hook up a 4K monitor………….you welcome 😊
I have the Samsung 360 13" and Yoga C940 14" 4K. Both are great. Not sure 100% which I like better. The Samsung gets hot but seems a little snappier. The OLED on Samsung looks great even though it's not 4k. The heat on the Samsung is very bothersome.
Love how you gloss over the short throw keyboard just like the butterfly switch apple did (Samsung always copies apple). Yet, apple abandoned that switch because it sucked. But Samsung's is ok because.....why? The keyboard is super important on an Ultrabook!
These are still scissor-style switches, not a butterfly mechanism. Never experienced a problem on my book2 pro over the past 7 months. and yes, they are strangely addicting in a different way than the butterfly switches.
Hi, I have a dumb question. So I don’t want to buy Apple EVER AGAIN! #ElonIsKingOfTheWorld. I don’t want to waste my money on Windows again either!! So what laptop, chromebook or whatever does NOT run hot on my lap?

Hey Dorin! Thanks for watching 😀. For me, I love using my S8 Ultra but I still find myself reaching for a regular laptop to get stuff done. If I could only have one device, I'd still go traditional laptop over tablet 😟
@@mikedropstech that's great. Thanks for your reply. How about a best of both worlds the new Surface pro 9?
I really like them and have one on the way for review but for me, when I use one daily I find the screen just a touch too small. 😔
Will you be reviewing the new 14 inch galaxy book 3 pro? Whenever it happens definitely looking forward to it. Seems like a good improvement.
I'd like to. I have an ultra coming so that'll be first but let's see what I can do!
This my first laptop for somewhat medium use
My question do Mike is the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 15.6" Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB.
First laptop thanks man
Is it good for programming like web development ?
It’ll definitely do the job for you but anyone else in the comments want to join in?!
What is the main difference between this and the pro 360 model?
Check the description for links showing the differences 😁
What's the difference beetween the pro 360 with this 1 is it just size
The Pro has the higher performance chips, is a little thinner, has different ports (no HDMI or USB-A for example), battery is a little bigger and I think the webcam is upgraded also.
the screen is anti-glare or anti-reflective or nothing ? pls. mention
Hey Sarit! This screen is glossy and shiny buddy.

😱
My God! That's illegal..have you googled the problem
This should not happen.
pls reply
do samsung book 2 pro 360 i7 heats too much pls reply . my s22 ultra heats a lot and I have been thinking to shift to apple . so pls tell does it heat that much or not
I think you’ll find the i7 does get pretty warm and you will hear the fans in a quiet room. I5 would be better or you could go Apple if that’s important to you as no heat on the MacBook Air.
Get a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon or T14s. Great machines.
👍
hi, can I connect 2 externals monitors?
I believe so. I didn’t test it but the laptop should be able to run 2 monitors no problem.
Where did you buy it so cheap?
Bestbuy!
Another great review!
Hey Jamie! Thanks for watching buddy 😀. This one was a real shocker for me but I liked the 13 more than the 15 I reviewed so couple months ago 😱!
I would be interested in a Thinkpad T14s g3 AMD review if you can get youre hands on one!
Can’t promise but I’ll see what we can fit in. I’m pretty stacked with devices over the next few months as we approach the silly season 😱
Hi, i ordered this laptop 5 days ago on a student discount for 800 dollars. And raccuten offer -96 dollars . So got one 16+516 for 704 dollars. May i know how u got one for 699? Did u had a student discount ?
I got it from Bestbuy. No special discounts, it was just on sale!
Another Amazing Video by the Movie Star! Excellent Work by you as always....Have an awesome weekend.....🙃😝🤨😉
Duuuuddddeee! It’s my man Dante in the house 😱😱😱😱
@@mikedropstech Yooooo...Right back @ Ya My Bro.....👻😝👽👽
Hey, i've been looking for notebooks for a while now and this is one the of few that i might consider to buy(not the 360 version).
the only thing that im afraid of are the hinges. I've read a couple of reviews and some of them said that their hinges broke easily.
now im not sure if they just used it reklessly or if they're really that fragile. Does anyone have these things for a little longer than a couple of months and tell me their experience with the galaxy book 2 ?
I don’t have any long term testing on this, but I have a couple to some of my team who use them daily and so far, zero issues (on the 360 version)!
@@mikedropstech Alright i will keep that in mind.
Thanks you for the video and especially for the quick response!
@@mikedropstechwhat about now?
Can you update SSD?
Not sure on this one! I didn’t open it up 😳
Yes, it's the only thing that is not soldered
Thanks

I have just graduated from college and wanting to begin my career as a content creator and an editor!
For that kind of money I'd look for something Current in terms of processor etc. I picked up an open box HP Spectre 14 from BestBuy with the new Core Uktra i7 and 16gb of ram for less than $1000 and have been testing it. Great device and cutting edge for today.
You bought 4 laptops?? Does that mean a giveaway is coming soon Uncle Mikey? 👀
Weeeelllll, I'm working on a giveaway but I'm not quite there yet to be able to giveaway a laptop 😱. I bought some for my team which is why I grabbed a few while they were on sale!
The Book 3 is going 16:10 !
Holy moly!!! Just what the doctor ordered 😱
@@mikedropstech 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you want a 14 inch bro.
Yeah I know.... I'm actually writing this on my 14" Macbook and it's the perfect size as much as I hate to say it!
@@mikedropstech See. I knew it. Good video btw
This at about 750 is the greatest value hands down , remember if you need more graphics power it has a thunder port 4 and you can plug in a E-GPU And it has a HDMI !!! To hook up a 4K monitor………….you welcome 😊
Great point on the external GPU!
@@mikedropstech thanks for review . It was so good that you convinced me to pick one up at best buy Lol
😳😁
Excellent review thanks
You’re welcome. And thanks for watching!
you're just the best >:) !!
😁
I have the Samsung 360 13" and Yoga C940 14" 4K. Both are great. Not sure 100% which I like better. The Samsung gets hot but seems a little snappier. The OLED on Samsung looks great even though it's not 4k. The heat on the Samsung is very bothersome.
But that oled is stunning right!
Yes 16:9 is not good i think 16 by 10 is perfect for 2022 i mean come on who uses 16 by 9 now
Right!
Love how you gloss over the short throw keyboard just like the butterfly switch apple did (Samsung always copies apple). Yet, apple abandoned that switch because it sucked. But Samsung's is ok because.....why? The keyboard is super important on an Ultrabook!
You know, I kinda liked the keyboard 😱
@@mikedropstech that's what some people said about the butterfly one, and then when the finger stain and failures started, it all changed
I think any Chromebook should be fine, they stay cool for sure!
It's not a MacBook Air killer, but it's a good product from Samsung.
👍
