This review is definitely pro-Apple: "Samsung does not understand what makes Apple is so magical... Samsung does not understand ecosystems, etc." (all this from 11 minutes onward). Magical! I own a Galaxy Book Pro 360, an S23 Ultra, a Tab S9+, and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. I think the Samsung ecosystem is very good.Samsung may have fumbled with the heat issues, but in everyday use, I am happy with its performance. The ecosystem is the reason I hardly touch my official laptop, an HP Spectre 360. Let's hope the ARM on Windows lives up to the hype, so the heat issues can be laid to rest.
Realistically any other devices are probably on par or better than apple devices. It's the consumerism? (Is that right whats the word for being loyal no matter what towards something) anyway I'm trying to not fall into Apple's ecosystem trap
This is sad that a closed ecosystem laptop with horrible smudgy coating, no touch screen, meh keyboard, no ports or proper GPU somehow became a benchmark for everyone else. I don't always agree with Samsung or Google's decisions, but at least I am not trapped inside the "walled garden".
This channel seems biased against Samsung, and it seems like all your reviews of Apple products are positive, encouraging people to purchase them. Apple has yet to introduce a touch-screen laptop, unlike many other companies. They restrict access to parts and repair manuals and do not support right-to-repair initiatives, which would make it easier and more affordable for users to repair their devices. Instead, they often push customers toward buying the latest versions of their products.

It's not right to compare the weight of a 14" laptop to that of a 12" or 13". The Samsung Book4 may underperform in many ways, but it is among the 1-2 lightest 14" laptops. Lighter than the Asus Zenbook 14 and the HP Spectre 14.
Josh, i have a problem with your take that the apple ecosystem is better. Better for who? I have 14 inch MacBook pro. I also have a Z fold 4 with galaxy buds and a Galaxy watch. There is no ecosystem to speak of between my apple laptop and my galaxy devices. The MacBook is by far the better laptop. But the apple ecosystem only works with other apple devices. Samsung users might appreciate the laptop in the Samsung ecosystem more than having a MacBook that is divorced from their other devices.
Completely agree with your point. For whom it’s better it’s very dependent on who the person is, but also, from a user who hasn’t picked up a particular side, the Apple ecosystem seem to be more seamless and fleshed out. I hope more companies can reach that level of polish.
Should be mentioned that the rubber feet are not glued on, they clip on so they are easy to remove and put back on with no mess, and allows for fairly easy access to the 2 nvme slots, one of which is open from the factory.
The one major thing that this Samsung has over the MacBook is removable storage. As a Geeksquad repair agent, this is a really big deal as we can upgrade the storage if you need more later or can even get the data off the laptop in the vast majority of circumstances where laptop is damaged by just taking out the SSD. I have even gotten the SSD out and was able to easily recover the data of a few laptop that had water or coffee spilled on them. Getting data off a MacBook that has it's motherboard damaged is nearly impossible and would require a very expensive data recovery service if it is even possible. Of course this is never the ideal situation but since most people don't have proper backup's of their data these situations are common at the store I work at.
I had a Book3 360 and found absolutely horrendous in battery life. Windows just sitting there consuming 10% every 10min. Swear to god it was the biggest tech disappointment of my life.
Yeah Im on it right now replying to this message. I love it. Beautiful machine reliable but the battery life is extremely meh. It will be my last Samsung laptop til they fix their battery drain issues.
While I agree with most things josh mentioned, I have to heavily disagree with the ecosystem part, tho... everything works perfect together with my galaxy tab, phone and headphones, in fact I wouldn't wanna switch away from these features anytime soon.
@@JustJoshTech agreed! I still like and appreciate the straightforward style of your videos. Let's hope that the new snapdragon x elite chip will make the upcoming galaxy books more comparable to the macbooks!
Half-baked take. Display, Touch screen, upgradable SSD and I/O selection deserve more praise. QuickShare is good for most cases. Of course anyone with video editing use case should stay away from this, for others, this is pretty much better for daily use than a Mac.
You are right. I learn alot from. you guys. I should have mentioned these pros in the conclusion and I should have said at what price point I feel it was a good buy. We are constantly improving here
TBH, those things you mentioned could be important to some buyers, but they are all seen in cheaper and/or better Windows alternatives. So if other Windows machines have all these features, and OLED is omnipresent in 2024, the flagship Windows arena, then why buy the Samsung with its lesser performance and other negatives?
I'm consistently surprised by how bad samsung are with laptops considering their success in phones and memory etc. Also apparently they're in an emergency mode now due to falling sales which unfortunately might degrade any potential quality in laptops they could've had from more overworked employees.
@@nafeeahnaf6296better yet, listen to multiple, many many reviews before a purchase, and make sure they’re tailored to your use case and some out of it.
@@TheebX92better yet, listen to multiple, many many reviews before a purchase, and make sure they’re tailored to your use case and some out of it. Consider this, he’s talking about how bad this thing is in performance relative to other devices. But as a stand alone device, this is a great laptop! Definitely not as good as it could be, nor as good as the competition in terms of performance, but it is still a great laptop. He’s not reviewing it in a vacuum though.
It's a great laptop, every other reviewer gave it a positive review I bought it recently to replace my old 2016 Macbook It's a great laptop, especially if you have Samsung devices (i recommend the Book 4 Pro version) Conclusion: if you have other Samsung devices, this laptop is for you
I brought the 3 and i consider this laptop to be terrible. If you like fan noices coming on all the time, that's fine. It over heats and slows down just on UA-cam. The only consolation is superficial. The screen. To be honest, Josh is spot on. Samsung are crooks, they are dishonest to sell such a bad laptop. I believe Samsung pays a lot of UA-camrs to promote this piece of crap.
Do people still click touchpads? You can just lightly tap 1, 2, 3 or 4 fingers for all the functions. No need to click it or make any sound at all, mechanical or haptic.
When choosing a laptop, the balance between battery life, silent-mode performance, and lightweight design is crucial. If high performance is a necessity, a desktop may be a more cost-effective option. I am seeking reviews that focus on realistic usage scenarios, such as over eight hours of light use, low noise levels, and good performance in silent mode, with a 15-16" screen and lightweight build, for my child who will be attending university this fall. But, most reviewers are focusing on performance at max mode... that I think is misleading people.
Yet another example of a Windows laptop manufacturer trying to run before they can walk and instead of focusing on getting the basics right, they try their hardest to make the slimmest and sleekest laptop with a high end CPU to fool the average consumer. I’m praying the Qualcomm ARM based processor arrives soon 🙏
ARM isn't going to be ready ever before RISC-V becomes mainstream. And Qualcomm is fighting a potentially serious lawsuit against Softbank, the holding company of ARM; if it gets ruled in Softbank's favor, ARM will be dead. Also, I don't like the way ARM is so restrictive with upgrades (part of it is Apple but also RAM capcity).
@@cameronbosch1213 That’s why I’m hoping man. Say what you will, but for 99% of non-gamers, ARM based CPUs are more than enough if it means we get better power efficiency, battery life and low heat/fan noise. It’s the way to move forward. Doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for x86 but it’s about giving people choices
I use my Samsung laptop in clamshell mode. I think I have used it once as a laptop. I have the Galaxy 360 and I push it every day and I have now issues. It's a great laptop
I just purchased this laptop for the THIRD time. I fell in love with the beauty of it to be honest. It really is a gorgeous looking machine. However, when it comes reliability it left me wanting. I had to return the first one I purchased because it was randomly rebooting when I had it plugged into two 2K UW monitors while coding. I returned the second one mostly because I found it at a better price but I did get the Blue Screen Of Death on it once. Also, before returning the second machine I reset it (through the Windows settings) which stuck the laptop in an infinite boot loop. So why then did I purchase it a third time? Well, with the laptop currently being on sale I will end up getting it for $1149 before tax (Actually $850 after some credit card "hacks" and a discount from my job). I am most likely going to sell it and then get either an HP Spectre or Macbook Air/Pro. My only concern about getting a Macbook is that I very likely need to run Windows and the ARM version of Windows 11 may not be compatible with my needs. (Any replys here about Windows on a Mac are welcome). Here is a pro/con list from using this computer for a few weeks as my main machine: Pros: If you are using this laptop on a desk for office related tasks (not maxing it out on performance like I was) then it really is a well performing laptop. I was able to multi-task very well on it and everything was snappy. It's super thin and light making it incredibly portable; moving it around the apartment one handed almost felt like holding a clipboard. It wakes from sleep almost immediately and the fingerprint reader is almost instantaneous. The keys felt great to use and I could open the lid with one finger on a non-slippery surface. It looks just like a Macbook which was definitely a selling point that appealed to me. Lastly, the display is truly amazing. If you want a laptop for streaming Netflix or viewing content then this laptop is a very good choice. Cons: This laptop gets HOT. It didnt burn my fingers when using the middle function keys, but it got close. I certainly wouldn't want to hold my finger against the top center of the keyboard during any mid to heavy use. The bottom (top-center) gets quite hot as well, to the point where when I had it on my lap in bed I was concerned that the sheets blocking the fan was going to cause it to overheat and melt the motherboard. Neutral: The laptop has "Quiet" mode where you can turn off the fan completely. This was a huge draw for me but as I often need the laptop for high performance tasks I was unable to benefit much from this mode. The times when I did have it on though and was just browsing the web it did a very good job of staying silent yet still being snappy. The CoPilot key is annoying. It is the same as pressing Win+C. They have taken a useful meta key and replaced it with only one viable function. For anyone wishing to customize this key (using AHK or something similar) it sends an F23 keypress. TL;DR If you want a super portable 14" clamshell with a gorgeous touchscreen display then the Galaxy Book4 Pro is a great choice (as long as you don't need it for more than viewing content or light office work, just like Josh said). Using this computer for high-end, performance intensive tasks should be avoided as you may see the computer overheat and shut down... but the silver lining is that when it turns back on it will reopen your apps where they were. I never lost any data but it was annoying.
@@chrisagnew9835 The battery life is not great but not terrible. I will report back when I have had more of a chance to put it through the paces. But so far it certainly isnt on par with a macbook but it does seem to do better when using lower brightness and resolution.
Nice review, I got one three days ago. My use is light Office work, watching videos and films And I liked very much the touch screen. I confirm it is getting hot and I got 3 times the screen black, but when I swiped the touchscreen from left to right it reappeared. The store changed it. The new one is sill getting hot and I got a black screen for one second when activating HDR. This happens when this function is activated or deactivated. And i have the impression that the new one is slower than the one i had before. Concerning the battery I used it full charged for 7 hours. It still had 2 h battery left.
Samsung laptops are too expensive in the US. But overseas the prices are way more affordable. You can find the Galaxy Book4 Ultra on some markets, for example, being sold at half the price of Dell XPS or MacBooks.
Exactly. For me, I would lose the right control key. And I use it so often. Not to mention I would have to remap it in Linux and remember that it's the right control key. No wonder Framework actually has a spine and is not adding it (at least for as long as they can).
I have the S24 Ultra, The S9 Tablet and the S9 Ultra tablet. I can't explain in words how much I love these product, way better then the Ipads and the Iphone IMO. But there laptops... I just can't understand why they can't make a good one? I love samsung notes, but I can't use them on my apple M2 pro. Also the Samsung eco system is soo nice to use, but that laptop... I really hope they once get it right so I can go back to the Samsung ecosystem. I had the Book 3 for 1-2 months, what a terrible laptop that was.
Josh, you're only comparing to 14" competitors and smaller --- compare the 16" to other 16" laptops, and its a bargain on every front. I've had my SG Book 3 Pro for about a year, and LOVE it. The 16" has a number pad on the side (the 14" does not) which are becoming harder to find. My Book 3 has 32GB RAM, an option on ordering. I know this: I can have multiple tabs streaming simultaneously and work comfortably in Photoshop and Illustrator. I'm not a coder and have only edited basic video, so that's not my bench mark -- if you love a 16" laptop as I do, take a look at THAT model. Beyond Satisfied for streaming and graphic design. That said, the 4 Pro is NOT a huge upgrade from the 3 Pro -- and THE 3 Pro (my model) is selling at GREAT prices now. Best, - Scott
There’s no point comparing Windows with Mac. People who don’t have to buy Windows will all go to Mac. So comparing with other Windows laptops will be helpful.
@@JustJoshTech Which I found very helpful, thank you! I just purchased this laptop for the THIRD time. I had been hoping that you would do a review on it and I'm glad you have now. I'll put the whole story in a normal comment though, not as a reply here.
@@JBrinx18 If this had a slightly beefier cooling solution and an AMD processor it wouldn't be too bad, still over priced but not terrible. That's the msot annoying thing about Samsung, they're so close yet so far.

Thank you Josh & Team for your hard work and speccing all these laptops so we can make good decisions even though we're not as tech savvy. Sometimes all you want is a good laptop that will have a good battery and decent configuration for your use case, and you can't tell on the first glance or looking at the spec sheet from the company. What looks good on paper or in the store might be different once you start using it so I appreciate your dedication to fully inspect these laptops!
8:37 You've got "no one can send me files" on laptop and most likely do on your phone. For some reason, Google and Samsung opt out to disable it by default, so you need to manually enable your device to be discovered by other tech
How does one take it off and make it able to share? Also on Apple products too you have to enable it as I recall to be seen by everyone or something like that.
@JustJoshTech u mentioned 15mins of troubleshooting, I'm curious how did you do that then...turn it back on ?🤔 Its clear u didn't have to hate on that
Okay, Apple fanboy! Quick Share works on all my devices, including my S9 tablet. I'm not very tech-savvy, and even I can figure it out in two seconds. Not only that, but Quick Share works twice as fast as my wife's AirDrop. Based on you not figuring out that simple task i cant trust anything you say here!
FINALLY, someone talked about how these Samsung apps are BS, I hate how some UA-camrs think they’re way better than Apple’s Ecosystem, Apple’s Ecosystem is consistent
I would disagree with your conclusion that "there isn't anything this laptop has over the MacBook Air except a touchscreen". Here are what it offers that the Air does not: 1. OLED panel (looks way better than the Air's screen; not even close) 2. HDMI port 3. Micro-sd slot 4. USB-A port 5. High refresh screen 6. Samsung apps if you want to use them. Ignore if you don't. Some are great, some are not. And the touchscreen is not a minor item for many of us; it is a deal-breaker. It is the main reason I returned my MacBook Air. Anyway, I am not saying everyone should buy this over the Air. It all depends on what you value. If you are doing video editing or some other high-performance tasks all day, get the Air. If you love the direct interface of the touchscreen, value a high-refresh OLED panel, want to avoid carrying (and losing) dongles, and are not already locked into Apple's ecosystem, then this may be a better option.
The stuff you mention may be important for some, but then again, as he said, there are better Windows machines than this. So his conclusion is valid; if the MB Air is good enough for you, buy it over the Samsung. But if you want something like OLED or a touchscreen, there are better choices than the Book4Pro. And by the way, many of us prefer a great IPS display to an OLED due to PWM dimming, lower max brightness, burn-in, and a glossy display of the Samsung.
Hi, thanks for the quality content! I was wondering if you could also look into the ZenBook 13 OLED with Intel Ultra 7. It would be very curious how it compares to MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo. Thanks!
The one thing Samsung beats Apple hands down is their Samsung Galaxy S8 or S9 Ultra tablets versus iPad Pro 12.9. Display is much better and can't be beat, until iPad comes out with theirs this month or next.
The one thing no company has been able to reproduce is Apples supply chain, availability, and organization of their website. Ordering non Apple products is a janky experience as is returning them. Only Microsoft perhaps does somewhat of a good job even then not as close to Apple. It’s not all about the product, it’s also about how quick you can get it and if it’s even available. HP and Lenovo are horrendous.
In india the apple supply chain is shit and products cost 1.5 times Samsung's. Like the 15 pro max in india cost 1,65,000 and the s24 ultra can be bought at 1,10,000 after credit card and student discounts. So yeah, in India at least apple is shit and overpriced. And dont even get me started with the supply chain🤦♂️
I have this laptop. Slim and sturdy. Compared to Macbook Air, it has good number of ports to use. You get more storage of SSD for the same price as Macbook Air. There is one extra SSD slot inside the laptop, you can expand the storage. I prefer this only because of Windows and it's applications.
I managed to snag one on an education discount for $1260 (taxes included) that also came with a 2TB external SSD. In theory this laptop should be good considering the specs, however given the specs it still manages to underperform. I'm getting random lag and it's driving me a little insane. Battery life isn't as good as people claim it to be either. I'll wait a couple more days to see if it stabilizes, but I doubt it. I'm pretty deep into the Samsung ecosystem and use Samsung Notes on my Galaxy Tab for university work every single day, and I hate how they went ahead and disabled it for non-Samsung laptops. I understand there's a workaround for it but who knows how long it'll last. Once I've graduated I'll probably be replacing this laptop with something better, but for now this'll do...
Same here, using the workaround for Samsung Notes on my Asus Vivobook hope it lasts or else I'll have to invest in a Galaxy Book as S Notes is essential for me
Galaxy Books and Surface laptops are basically Intel Macbooks. These laptops would've been competitive if Apple still used Intel. But, Apple silicon is so good that it makes these laptops seem overpriced in today's world..
why would you get this over a macbook? well it has a 120hz high res oled touchscreen, you can play DirectX games, it has some actual ports, what else? there is so much more than screen brightness or some geekbench scores. some of the benchmark scores are even just marginal score difference, and no "MASSIVE UNDERPERFORMANCE" nice clickbait title too
@@JustJoshTech same could be said about any notebook when it comes to performance, just get a desktop. Thats not the point, some people want an all in one machine with a beautiful screen and light form factor and wouldn't want to use mac os
The MB Pro 14 M3 is only £200 more in the UK and has 120Hz, miniLED, better IO, and much higher screen brightness. It would destroy the Book4Pro in performance, efficiency, speakers, trackpad, etc. By comparing it with MB Air, he gave some respectability to the Book4Pro, but its real competitor is the MB Pro 14 M3, which is an easy winner and has discounts that can be had for even less now.
New Yoga Slim 7 and Thinkpad with Snapdragon chips were leaked recently! I’m hyped to see the specs when they release... will be some interesting new laptops
So if I need certain Windows programs for 2D Animation and an Oled screen for good color and a machine to do drawings with all in one single lightweight device how will a macbook help me there? It will not so may be you need to compare this laptop to a large ipad pro which has the issue that it only supports some stupid apps of which some are good but mostly they are no real pro software
I own a laptop samsung galaxy book4 pro. It's going great, no issue at all, very well assembled and material of first quality. I also have a galaxy samsung tab s9. The two devices work really well together as the samsung ecosystem is great. I also can confirm that the overheating is not a problem. Of course it's gonna get hot if you make a very intensive use of it, as every other laptop. It's also true that, altought it could get hot in extreme situation, it's performance remain excellent. In my experience, this does not work for the apple products. I use the samsung book more than 8h a day and i'm truly satisfied.
Yes, then at $900 it is a good buy. So long as you don't mind it's compromises. All laptops have compromises though. Its about getting one with the pros and cons that work for you. It sounds like you did, which is good :)
Honesly I'm not surprise by this galaxy book 4 pro review (the samsung laptops are not even close to be one of the best windows pc in the market) but is the samsung ecosystem really that bad ? because the majority of the youtuber who test this ecosystem was pretty satisfied with this...
Have you tried raising the back of the notebook about 1 inch? The improved air cooling improves graphics benchmarks by 25-30%! I’ve seen this meticulously measured in other tests, although on the 16” version. The super slim profile of this model does not allow it to be properly cooled when under high load. As long as raising it fixes the issue, I think it is an acceptable trade off for such a slim, easy to carry form factor. The 16” is a slimmest laptop that boasts a 4070, and, provided the back is raised, it performs in line with other 4070 laptops with similar CPUs, but being much slimmer in the backpack.
Josh just answered the question I've always been asking. If these samsung laptops were cheaper, much cheaper, then I could justify purchasing one. They look good but that's about where it ends.
The reason to buy it would be the TOUCH SCREEN. SOMETHING NO APPLE COMPUTER HAS IN 2024! We are tired of you reviewers giving Apple a free pass on CONSISTENT MEDIOCRACY. When your LAPTOP IS ONLY POWERING THE KEYBOARD AND DISPLAY IT SHOULD BE EXECUTING AT THE EXTREME. I'm not dumb enough to be paying for a laptop in 2024 with no touchscreen, doesn't rotate or flip with the same body style from the early days.
The version with the RTX4070 can inject 100W into the processor, I can't understand why it doesn't do the same. Is the cooling system of the two different?
idk why quickshare wouldnt work with you, but i have an amd hp omen 16 and i use quickshare all the time, i downlaoded it from the microsoft store and its been working ever since. Granted on my old Intel gigabyte laptop it would never work. maybe its an intel thing? idk

Great video, would love to see you make a video on the best windows laptop touchpads. I have to use Windows for some work tasks, and find that many windows laptops have mediocre to awful touchpads. Perhaps the new Surface Laptop 7 or Yoga 7X will have better touchpads? Maybe XPS 13 with X Elite ARM CPU?
Nice and fun to see this review. Thanks for covering it. Just good when you do it instead of your team. Just what I expected from this Samsung, far to be on level with competitors
Samsung is known for its discounts, promotions, and incentives. The price after applying these discounts is the true amount you should expect to pay. Basically if it lists as 1699 you should know it only worth 1199 or less. Sometimes if you are lucky you can grab one for 999 or less.
Thanks for the review, what happens is that in countries like mine, Brazil, Macbooks are almost triple the price they are sold in the United States, here Samsung came with much more attractive prices MacBook Air base model is being sold for $2500 due to taxes The galaxy book 4 pro 1000 dollars

It's not right to compare the weight of a 14" laptop to that of a 12" or 13". The Samsung Book4 may underperform in many ways, but it is among the 1-2 lightest 14" laptops. Lighter than the Asus Zenbook 14 and the HP Spectre 14.
Bro totally didn't even touch on the OLED screen and 12-0hz refresh. MBA doesn't have those things.
That is a fair opinion
Completely agree with your point. For whom it’s better it’s very dependent on who the person is, but also, from a user who hasn’t picked up a particular side, the Apple ecosystem seem to be more seamless and fleshed out. I hope more companies can reach that level of polish.
Should be mentioned that the rubber feet are not glued on, they clip on so they are easy to remove and put back on with no mess, and allows for fairly easy access to the 2 nvme slots, one of which is open from the factory.
Oh very interesting. We are used to them being glued on. So that's what we expected. This is helpful
@@JustJoshTech I was surprised as well on my model and I was glad Samsung put some thought into making it easy for people to access the insides.
Of course this is never the ideal situation but since most people don't have proper backup's of their data these situations are common at the store I work at.
appreciate putting the conclusion at the start, happy subscriber.
Ah, I love quick share on all my computers. You don't need a Samsung computer just an Intel wireless card. Weird how it doesn't work for you.

I appreciate that you shared your experience. It's important for people to hear that these things do work well for some
@@JustJoshTech agreed!
This is why you guys are great. Taking constructive criticism well @@JustJoshTech

I'm consistently surprised by how bad samsung are with laptops considering their success in phones and memory etc. Also apparently they're in an emergency mode now due to falling sales which unfortunately might degrade any potential quality in laptops they could've had from more overworked employees.

same questions man !😅
When choosing a laptop, the balance between battery life, silent-mode performance, and lightweight design is crucial.
Here is a pro/con list from using this computer for a few weeks as my main machine:
Pros:
If you are using this laptop on a desk for office related tasks (not maxing it out on performance like I was) then it really is a well performing laptop.
Cons:
This laptop gets HOT.
Neutral:
The laptop has "Quiet" mode where you can turn off the fan completely.
Nice review, can you talk about the battery life?
I'm already tired of the stupid copilot button.
I'll never use it but every new laptop has it... How many times has this been done
Exactly. For me, I would lose the right control key. And I use it so often.
Not to mention I would have to remap it in Linux and remember that it's the right control key. No wonder Framework actually has a spine and is not adding it (at least for as long as they can).
hold on, I'm gonna get my hazmat suit for this one
Why would you put Quick share on to the setting so that no one can send you files? That is why it doesn't work.

I needed a laptop but really wanted to use the samsung ecosystem so I went with it. Mainly for school work. The $500 discount was a nice perk too
I would disagree with your conclusion that "there isn't anything this laptop has over the MacBook Air except a touchscreen".
Here are what it offers that the Air does not:
1. OLED panel (looks way better than the Air's screen; not even close)
2. HDMI port
3. Micro-sd slot
4. USB-A port
5. High refresh screen
This is a good and reasonable comment
The stuff you mention may be important for some, but then again, as he said, there are better Windows machines than this. So his conclusion is valid; if the MB Air is good enough for you, buy it over the Samsung. But if you want something like OLED or a touchscreen, there are better choices than the Book4Pro.
And by the way, many of us prefer a great IPS display to an OLED due to PWM dimming, lower max brightness, burn-in, and a glossy display of the Samsung.

When it comes to Samsung Galaxy phones, I think they out perform Apple. However, Macbooks are where they truly shine.

The reason to buy it would be the TOUCH SCREEN. SOMETHING NO APPLE COMPUTER HAS IN 2024! We are tired of you reviewers giving Apple a free pass on CONSISTENT MEDIOCRACY.
Granted on my old Intel gigabyte laptop it would never work. maybe its an intel thing? idk
Really great review again Josh!
Your reviews are so accurate and honest, thanks a lot. I’m just afraid that you will get “the all bad all the negative UA-camr name” you know it’s hard to satisfy everyone on the internet these days.
Ps: please cover more Linux support, please
Thanks for that! Yes agreed. Re Linux, I am trying to do it in laptops I feel are great for programmers. We are also scaling up our staffing a bit to be able to add it more frequently. You're request is heard. Please be patiend with us though :)
They need to stop making thin Laptops that make no sense. Make a thick durable laptop with many ports.
Samsung is known for its discounts, promotions, and incentives. The price after applying these discounts is the true amount you should expect to pay. Basically if it lists as 1699 you should know it only worth 1199 or less. Sometimes if you are lucky you can grab one for 999 or less.
Thanks for the review, what happens is that in countries like mine, Brazil, Macbooks are almost triple the price they are sold in the United States, here Samsung came with much more attractive prices
MacBook Air base model is being sold for $2500 due to taxes
The galaxy book 4 pro 1000 dollars
Thats crazy. I'm so sorry to hear that. Is Samsung also expensive?
@@JustJoshTech It is too, but compared to Apple, Samsung's price is much better
That's why your honest reviews are important, the notebook has just been launched here and there aren't many reviews in Portuguese
@@horizon_brasil I see. I would say if there is a $300 usd difference in favor of the Samsung over the Apple, it becomes very viable
He changed my whole perspective
The supposition has to stop too. If your device has something someone else's doesn't have like a touch screen how the hell are they trying to go for your device? USE SOME LOGIC HERE. JUST SAY WHAT YOU LIKE AND DON'T LIKE. NOBODY ASKED YOU TO COMPARE IT TO ANOTHER MANUFACTURER. THIS IS NOT A REVIEW.
That's what this channel does. Comparison reviews. It's what makes us unique. There are many other channels for you to watch regular reviews at. Our core is comparison reviews
@@JustJoshTech i did and it was a lot more of a review. Although I wouldn't buy that Samsung laptop or a Macbook anything. A review based on whatever merits that laptop had would have been objective. But a laptop with no touch screen in 2024 IS OBSELTE TECH. I don't have a laptop that doesn't have a touch screen going back 4 years ago. It's a waste of technology assembly and parts.
"this product has been designed to be sold not to be used", I will be quoting this for a while
I say it often
now there is the book 5 pro 360 but i can't find a 14 inch version hopefully they will release it soon because intel lunar lake would greately improve 14 inch laptops and laptops in general
This and the XPS line must be the only windows laptops that make macbooks look like the good and logical deal
A heck of a review...valid points too 😅
Does this guy like any Samsung laptop, his Galaxy Edge review is the same. Im so tired of reviewers comparing everything to Macbooks. I want windows machines, so please let me know if not these, then which one? I imagine most people arent here looking to be told go get a Macbooks.
We have a CoPilot+ Best of Video coming within the next 7 days. It has a couple of suggestions for you
Josh and team, you guys are the best!
Someone please tell Samsung that branding everything "Galaxy" doesn't make it a good product.
