- Ohh my goodness! Tekken fam... I'm sorry for my lack of Tekken uploads lately! Been very busy with life and TFG website stuff, but that doesn't mean I haven't been playing my favorite fighting game. 🖤 Here's a recent PC ranked set with my Steve versus ChanceLC's solid / tournament-level Jack. GGs. I've been experimenting with some new Steve tech and changing up my style a bit... had some pretty hype moments during this set (and in other recent ranked sessions with a lot of great players). Thanks so much Goro. I switch up my style a bit depending on my opponent's character and their style/adaptations... so this was a pretty fun set, even though most Jack-7 players are boring. lol
I was surprised at how easy some of the Gigas and jack players were honestly.
If anything, glad we get to see you back in action. I'm heading back to this mainly and other games for more practice. Great video so far.

Thank you man. 🖤 This year I've been trying to level up my Steve by playing safer & punishing better, but also becoming "unreadable". Mixing up offense / aggresiveness, switching to a defensive style or changing up my general flow mid match works wonders, even against high level players. Some people expect you to "play a certain way" because it's what they're familiar with... but you can really throw them off and get those clutch wins if you've mastered your character's moveset. I love Tekken. 😁
@@FightersGen That's EXACTLY what I love about your Steve. Whenever I watch your matches I have no idea what you will do next because your style really seems "unreadable". I've been Steve main since Tekken 5 and despite me knowing all the moves you still manage to surprise me every single time lol. I love watching high level pro players play Steve, but they are mostly playing the same-ish way, only making "ideal" plays and using the same 6-7 moves only. They're great to watch because you can see how they manage to execute those ideal plays. You on the other hand are great to watch because you show unorthodox and creative plays, which might not be as "ideal", but it sure as hell is entertaining (and can work very well too) especially with Steve. 😁

38:06 God I hate Jack (Wack) players. I always root against them in tournaments. lol. Great set btw, I learned some new anti-Jack strats from this. Being patient against Jack is key, too many Tekken players lost patience early in a match and it costs them.

I really don't respect easy characters like Jack. I mean sure people still have skill, but the character is so incredibly elementary to use. People have no idea how much skill it takes to use Steve well.
All these easy characters don't do anything but fish for launchers over and over. Sure they might get the win, but that doesn't mean I respect them.
So true. Jack-7 players are usually so boring. I haven't played a solid "tournament style" Jack in a while, so this set was a good training/experimentation session for my Steve. I will admit Jack-7 can be played in a more interesting way and still be effective (I even use him on occasion), but yeah... most people seem to play him kinda braindead, unfortunately.
Lol try gigas.. he has no safe launcher at all, all his ch are slow.. as a steve secondary main,yeah he is hard since he has no real reach and legs..
@@herokiryu2652 Yeah you're definitely right. However I find Gigas very entertaining to watch..he's got some mean techniques he just needs more tools and a better throw game.
However his pushback mix-ups where he kicks you can be pretty damn dangerous in the right hands, but no he doesn't have enough good tools. Too many negative frame attacks, absolutely no throw game for such a big character. Too punishable overall.

I'm the only one who thinks that this series is stuck in the same without any improvement other than graphics? I mean that I must preserve its essence, but it must contribute something more.
Buddy, nobody who actually plays Tekken thinks that. They've added so much to the gameplay/movesets in T7 without changing too much or making it too easy like other fighting games (which would ruin Tekken). The skill ceiling is very high and the mindgames are timelessly fun... no two Tekken matches are alike. This, along with other smart decisions by Namco is why the Tekken tournament scene is the best it's ever been in the series 20 year history. :)
Fun Fact: Tekken 7 is the only game at EVO with increasing player numbers every year instead of decreasing numbers. Best time to be a Tekken player is now. :)

I’m quite new to tekken, I’ve known it for awhile, I’ve played it on the psp (when i was just a 7-9 y/o pressing square and the d pad mostly) and recently made the switch from sfv to t7. From what I’ve seen, you kinda have a point but I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of things in t7 is new and never seen before in it’s previous instalments
