I notice so many mind games in this matchup especially bc I use both characters - albeit not as well as these high rank heroes. Lessons learned in earlier matches evolve to the later rounds, adding even more mind games and mixup. Tekken Deathmatches are so ultra dynamic and unlike all other fighting games. Hats off to both players, ggs. Also: 22:00 was godlike, I hope you add these sick slowmos to your next epic dodges compilation! 🔥

Mikkel Baumann-Jørgensen he’s not spamming strings he is using attack to hit low sometimes sometimes mid and high to make sure he’ll catch you trying to duck crush or move.
@@icepenguin7278 As in 7:55 I assume? I might have my string definition wrong then, but in any case, it comes out so fast you can't do anything but just tank it and try and dash out of it. (yeah I'm sure there's a simple trick to it, but I would definitely just freeze up and get destroyed as well :) )

This was a pretty dope set! Loved watching it, literally got exciting enough to start rooting for either of you at some points. Hwo's costume was dope. Your costume was dope, the Katana tries were funny and suspenseful. Love the explosive outro!

I think is reasonable for Steve having a hard time against an aggressive hwoarang since Steve is close range power puncher while hwoarang has both range and itchy strings, so I guess my theory is to be step in when the timing is right.

Hwaorand is very subjective to the Steve's sways...when he's stringing, swaying into a shoulder normally gets me out of trouble

Patience is key. It's difficult to find an opening against a crazy Hwo player like this... but there are openings. ;) Just gotta react fast.

I play with both Steve and wei woulong. As steve, you need to step aside and move backwards and go inside to finish your opponet consquently or move aside and block and attack or if u are attacked, Dodge and attack.

Wtf did i just watch...hwo def needs a nerf with these string spams..low high mid low high tf...there is just no end...i learned one thing while fighting Hwo, just stay in flicker stance and get ready to power crush punch..like all thins hwo spam is unbelievable..steve was clearly the better fighter..but its hwo so what can u do lol..im tired of steve being so easy to punish..

Steve isn't so easy to punish
Hwo definitely needs nerfs, he is the only character with RA mid safe, his throws gives him guaranteed follow ups for like 55 damage, in his fucking spam he has like 3 power crush and 1 one of this low crush (low and throws are the only ways to beat armor),he is build to spam.
Gianluca Merlo steve isnt that easy to punish...but if you are low on life its hard for a comeback...which mean steve will have to play kind of risky..his pab d1 should not be punishable...

Hwaorang is one of those characters you dont have to be any good at Tekken to appear to be good at the Tekken.
