Ziva Rodann, who played Maria in this episode, is simply one of the most stunning women I have ever seen. Words cannot even begin to describe just how incredibly beautiful she was!
It's beneficial to watch show's lke Bonanza and actors play out roles of different dimensional characters, we can decide which roles we are choosing to play out in our own lives. I've always loved the ethical , honest, and doing the right thing actors, and then I had to learn there has to be an anti hero, or bad guy, to contrast with the good guy, or hero, brings significance to the character, and attributes of this quality individual. And on Bonanza, and with the Cartwright family this is usually the enjoyment of this show.
But you know something? The majority of the time when one or more of the Cartwright family goes missing they all band together and start searching for one another, if not one of them then at least someone would, look how Joe went looking for Adam in the episode The Crucible and when he couldn't find him he did go get his father and brother and they searched for Adam for 2 weeks up until Joe and Hoss suggested that they go home because they had given up hope finding him, but Ben was so determined and was ready to give up until he noticed the man dragging the dead body whom was Adam dragging Kane plus there are other episodes where they would go looking for one another, but even in this episode, Ben already knew where Adam went and if he didn't eventually showed up he no doubt would have went looking for him and would question people about his whereabouts so yeah more than likely he finally would have went searching for Adam if he hadn't shown up after a certain amount of time. The Cartwright were most definitely that type of family 👍💯
Adam should have just gone home and told his dad that his son was alive, but was an outlaw and scoundrel. The rest of it should not be his problem to deal with... certainly not at risk of his life.
Especially given the fact that he rode 1,000 miles there and another 1,000 miles back which would have meant at least 2 weeks of travel each way, a job in and of itself, all with NO compensation whatsoever; in addition to which he had a month of downtime, depreciation on his horse, placed his life in peril, all of that just to tell his old man a total fabrication. The way I see it, is cheating is wrong, even if you cheat YOURSELF.
@@SunRabbit "depreciation on his horse".... lol... I never thought about depreciation on a horse! Yeah, those horses lose 20% just riding them off the lot 😂
I like James Booth, In a western he appeared in his character was killed off during the movie and his 'dead body' was paraded in the town by his friends in the middle of town

A lot of people who watched this episode missed the ending where Carl's dad said to Adam "I hope I wasn't asking too much Adam for you to bring my boy home." That statement makes it clear that Adam didn't leave Carl's dead body where Carl died.

It's funny how Carl Regan's elderly father was supposedky almost blind & needing to use a cane, yet he was still able to drive himself to & from the Ponderosa in a horse & cart...
