I wasn’t born when this aired. But I was a Little House on Prairie fan Michael Landon lead me to Bonanza. I’m glad it did I Love ❤️ Bonanza. Hoss is my favorite ❤️
Well, call me old fashioned, but that was insanely cute. Joe, of course, is always falling in love; but Adam always plays the roll of intelligence. He does dominate every scene with a sense of rationality, as Hoss does with a sense of vulnerable kindness. Great stuff!
Hilarious episode! Got a huge kick out of Adam's reaction to the whole situation, and just about died laughing when Hoss started crying after hearing the poem at the end. Love the range of comedy vs seriousness in this show!
One of the best episodes.I laughed all thru this episode with each and everyone actors . Great masterpiece of character actor comedy. . You don’t see this level funniness good writing and great funny acting
Seeing Adam with an epee reminds me of Pernell Roberts’ appearance in Cimarron City dueling with the Grand Duke. Dan Blocked also appeared in the same episode as George Montgomery’s ally.
I can't stop grinning, because this so funny 😂😂😭 and adorable. Everybody hit the mark in this one. Oh! and not one bullet fired and not one person hung.
Min. 6:31 - François Villon (François de Montcorbier or François des Loges) - born in Paris in 1431; one source gives the date as 19 April, 1432 [O.S. April 1, 1431]. He is the best known French poet of the Late Middle Ages. He was involved in criminal behavior and had multiple encounters with law enforcement authorities. Villon wrote about some of these experiences in his poems. He died in 1463. - source : Wikipedia That is the reason Adam said "...you haven't AGED very much."
Great dispaly of humor, poetry, suave, and fun in the moonlight with very vulupsous french beauty, with a twist of a joker in for good measure. All around fun episode, funny watching the frenchman take off Hosses buttons, and then the horse watching Hoss in the barn, playing with a dummy, and they got paid millions for this acting genre?
It's a revolver! Hammer ain't cocked nothing's gonna happen. I'm sure it isn't loaded anyways. I did do a double take the first time I saw that part, now I just think it's macabre/ funny. Plus Pernell Roberts is not Alec Baldwin.... thank goodness.... Actually it took me watching this episode 3 or 4 times to look past the Frenchman and really watch Adam, and I think Roberts had an absolute field day filming this episode! It gets funnier every time I watch it!!!
In those days live meant what you see on your tv at a certain time on a certain day every week. How much do we see today is actually live right this minute?
I honestly don't understand how Little Joe stayed out of trouble with the ladies in an era before contraception. Making out with all those beautiful young women in the woods with a full moon over looking the lake. That would take more will power than I have....
Probably boredom; I've done it. Things get slow so you help some people that always use up the spices or spill on the comforter...that type of stuff. So you pay for entertainment and congratulate yourself for still having a heart. Everyone gets something. That way the world goes on in a pattern of mutual weave.
It's funny how Joe was going to just leave them till he found our they were brother and sister and telling Hoss PA would want us to help them out but he wasn't thinking about that till he found out she wasn't the guy girlfriend or wife
That's a lot of effort for a friend, let alone a scoundrel. At 40:17 I'm predicting that they've rigged the rope to break or otherwise fail and then they'll say something like "we can't hang a man twice. that's a sign from fate/God that this is not his day to die We can't argue with that." Hoss crying. :D :D :D oh my, I didn't suspect Adam's plan.
S3E12 first aired December 10, 1961. Episode takes place in October 1860 33:49 Adam with shirt unbuttoned 38:09 C'mon Pernell, I know it's a prop gun, but please show some proper gun safety.
I don't like the word cult attached to the Titles. It's a word associated with the negative things people believe in. This is such a positive show that uplifts. Can you change it?

I love Bonamza so much it's one of my faves
Adam was having far too much fun with this situation. 😂
Well, call me old fashioned, but that was insanely cute. Joe, of course, is always falling in love; but Adam always plays the roll of intelligence. He does dominate every scene with a sense of rationality, as Hoss does with a sense of vulnerable kindness. Great stuff!
Well said my friend!
Hilarious episode! Got a huge kick out of Adam's reaction to the whole situation, and just about died laughing when Hoss started crying after hearing the poem at the end. Love the range of comedy vs seriousness in this show!
Exactly
Adam's face at 40:51 ff😂😂😂 I'm dying here laughing😂😂😂the way he looks at Hoss😂😂😂
43:24 "Men get tired of looking at the same old... faces." Gotta love Adam XD
@Mary D - in fact, the movie words are made up by the...screenwriter.
@@ROMANABSOLUT However, it actually does translate over into real life, though. Just the way men are.

Not all of us. 😏
I love it when good old Hoss gets in some kind of trouble! Always good for a good laugh! But always finds the way to come out like an innocent puppy!
Dan Blocker developed that character beautifully! He was a masterful actor.

@moray4776
You're right, one of the best ones, though I love all of them. Up to now I enjoy watching Bonanza.
I love when Ben gets riled up
the silliest Bonanza episode
hoss & leprechauns?
Joe Cartwright, Detective ?
Agree. Oh well...
Seeing Adam with an epee reminds me of Pernell Roberts’ appearance in Cimarron City dueling with the Grand Duke. Dan Blocked also appeared in the same episode as George Montgomery’s ally.
26:20 that smile 🎉❤ always loved Adam

"Something about taking a public bath."
Adam should know Hoss is always throwing people in water troughs.
Best show ever created

(Adam) - 15:55 "Forget the jokes. That's your enemy! ATTACK!" lol
I believe the one that is slapped has the choice of weapons .LOL
That's right. And if Hoss had picked pistols, Francois would have been eating dirt.
Very fine episode. Thanks!
Happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching! 🤠✌🍿📺

Frenchy is a nut for poetry oh brother but sure a good show lol
Frenchy is a nut ,period!
I love how Ben throws hands and tells Coffee there won't be *killing*. 🤣
Anyone else have a heart attack at 38:10?! I'm stunned that they asked him to do that!

So different than Pa Ingalls! 😂😂
Little Joe is so adorable to women. They find him irresistible.
@@nadaprlic22 that’s because he is lol
there was some really funny scenes in this that surprised me, the practice at swords, they should have kept that up a bit longer.
41:06 How could anyone not LOVE Dan Blocker?
I always. Loved. This. Show
Suddenly , about twenty minutes in, the lady can speak English. I had thought she spoke hardly any English
So,so funny and very,very entertaining and thrilling.😂😂🤣🤣🤣😆😭😭😭
I remember when this was live...
You are kidding me Really!
Live? I remember it differently. Bonanza was pretaped, never live.
I meant when it was actually broad cast. You remember the original broadcast tv, right?
In those days live meant what you see on your tv at a certain time on a certain day every week. How much do we see today is actually live right this minute?
Sunday nites at 9.
This was a good one!! 😂😂
Every episode I watch I find a new favorite
Wow this was a good one I laughed so much ❤️❤️❤️
I just love the Cartwright family.
welcome to the ponderosa bed and breakfast. everyone is welcome
very nice movie, thanks
Happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching! 🤠✌📺🍿
Oohlalalala this French sure knows how to wrap Little Joe around her finger. Now that's what I call French kissing.
The Cartwrights don't turn anyone away from the Ponderosa.
Traditionally, it's the challenged party who has the choice of weapon.
This is a tv show
I honestly don't understand how Little Joe stayed out of trouble with the ladies in an era before contraception. Making out with all those beautiful young women in the woods with a full moon over looking the lake. That would take more will power than I have....
Who say he did?
He knew all about the rhythm method of contraception . There were very few contraceptive prophylactics around in those days.
There is more than one way to show affection
@@Nyx773 Affection?? Who's talking about affection? I'm talking about LUST... 🤪
They don't make 'em like this anymore!
why do thy keep taking people they don't know out to their ranch

35:36 “I told you all that reading would affect your mind!” I forget people once thought books could corrupt one’s mind.
HAHAHA!, another hilarious episode, thank you.
I always loved this to
Bonanza was made when America was America not like today!
Entertaining!
It's funny how Joe was going to just leave them till he found our they were brother and sister and telling Hoss PA would want us to help them out but he wasn't thinking about that till he found out she wasn't the guy girlfriend or wife
In America do the duel with guns?
That Frenchman is delusional big time!
The Frenchman is a nut.
Good man Hop Sing!!
Ain’t nothing better than a Latino from france
This was early 60s
This is the first woman that didn't die from the Cartwright curse....lol
They were not actually engaged. Also, there were others who didn't die, but who had to go away.
That’s after they got married.
The writer made Joe to be one that had never seen a female for years.
Whether ugly or pretty, even older ones, Joe would show an interest🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️.
Anddre Philippe looked so handsome . He looked a bit like Jerry Lewis.
That's a lot of effort for a friend, let alone a scoundrel. Season 3 has a lot of comedy episodes. Show is starting to change.
No one picked up the stair step between the wheels. 47:00
I clicked to see Hoss sword fight. I didn't see a sword fight.
Very good👍 👌👌🤩🤩😍🥰😘❤❤❤
Very good adam
"Little Joe is not the marrying kind." Er, yes he is.
1860? Season 2 was set in 1863. Now, Season 3 is set in 1860. I guess the dates weren't in order for the stories.
I wonder why there were not dogs in the ranch🤔
Unbelievable how much trouble one person can cause😏

Omg!! You really think you are special
what's that at ttime 005:32
OS.FME BONANZO QUERO ACESTI PORTUGUES
Past tense, we _had_ money . !!
Now why is Adam allowed to have his feet up on the furniture? Pretty unfair.
Hard up for reasonable story line!!!!!
Little Joe is enjoying himself but zee accident is terrible.
En gare? Le Gare du Nord ou quoi? The term is "en garde"! Notoriously under-educated US-Americans...?
Hahaha...
Joe sword, fastgun, fast horse cute anger
Adam song,gun,sword, horse
Hoss gun, stranger, horse
"First I must find a rich husband for my sister". It's always about being pretty and being rich......superficial Bonanza....:-)))
Actually, the "poem" was hardly even a poem, galloping, predictable rhyme and rhythm, mundane subject.
Joe Cartwright young sword, fastgun, ride fast horse, song, poem write love beautiful gril
Adam Cartwright old gun, sword, song, read poem beautiful gril
Hoss Cartwright middle good, gun, not sword, not song, good horse stranger muscle
Ben Cartwright son hoss sword
Right because of those weird attitudes Germans will never really love the French.
More affirmation for my hatred of the French
They have such fake French accents! Couldn't find any real ones? Little Joe had his satisfaction for sure!
Joe is very naughty
Yes, but delicious too.
How did it make you feel when you saw those kisses? Were you on fire as well LOL
I love Bonanza, but not this episode. Too silly and too cringy.
Ok. We really don’t care
It's a cover😮up
This was a good one!! 😂😂
