This movie was criminally under appreciated in my opinion. Not perfect but very well done and entertaining.
There is some amazing screenwriting in this movie that gets overlooked because it's "sci-fi." His explanation at 2:40 is nearly word-for-word what's used in the opening sequence but under duress. Completely underscores the time travel / deja vu aspect.
Im sure everybody who watched this movie noticed it
As much as I enjoy this film (it's honestly a very solid movie in many areas), I've never fully given credit to Levitt's and Blunt's performances. More specifically, I've never really clued into the accents/mannerisms they employ here. Levitt does a genuinely good job of imitating Willis, both in some of his facial expressions and vocal patterns, and I think that helps beyond just the makeup. Blunt, meanwhile, is doing a fine "Generalized American" accent overall, but what sells it for me is her inspiration. She stated in an interview that her main reference for the accent was Chris Cooper, and I really hear that in some of her deliveries, such as 2:23-2:36 here.
He could've easily moved around cuffed to that cot LMFAO.
Damn he took that shotgun blast to the chest well.
Had it been anything more than rock salt in the shell he would not be sitting there talking to her.
Very cool movie, seen it a few times. Highly recommended!
These two would eventually voice and star together in the Wind Rises
She's so smart she hand cuffed him to a cot. Not only is a cot very light, but that bar he was hand cuffed to is a single piece that slides out. All he had to do was take the bar off, then slide the handcuff off the bar.
You found the logical flaw in the movie
@@johnclavis GED is finally paying off 😎
@@Ted_Sheckler Oooo……You as cold as ice. 😂
It still limits his right arm's movement. She doesn't believe in just completely trapping a person. I mean I can't refute your bar argument but a movie with the dumbest time travel implementation you have to suspend your disbelief. Also I love this movie.
@NightIIJester I also love this movie. I just never noticed the hand cuffing to a cot before now. Not sure how I missed how stupid that was
What an underrated film.
My favourite scene is when he says "It's loopin' time!"
I came here to comment that😂😂😂
Yeah, and then he starts looping all over himself....
lol 🙂
And then they become Mighty Loopin' power loopers
Me too 😮😮😮😮😮
I would have liked that girl from the start...I would have been in love after the rock salt tho
This movie was alright. It had neat concepts but fell flat at moments.
im confused.. i watched this movie quite a few years ago, and i really dont remember g levitt looking like that, i remember him looking like himself. did they cgi it later? or am i wrong?
I remember him just like you...Mandela Effect?
@@TonyB31987 or is this some cgi project?
They gave him eye contacts maybe.. his eyes arent usually that color
He had prosthetic pieces put on during makeup to have himself look more like a younger Bruce Willis. It's always been there.
I remember not noticing it when I first saw the movie but then i saw it a couple months later and realized he had prosthetics that made him more resemble Bruce Willis.
The Listener (January 27, 2012-September 29, 2023) First Appearance 2012: Looper (2012) On September 28, 2012
why tf does gordon levitz look like that
It's a spoiler but it's so he looks like someone.
They did prostetics to make him look like Bruce Willis.
He had an allergic reaction to a twinkie full of wasps and redditors.
His face was babysitting some bees. He's been hanging around too many combs.
They used prosthetics to make him look like bruce willis so that it would be more believable to that it was bruce's younger self in the film
movie was okay, kid was annoying
God bless good luck it was beautiful but boring..
boring?? what movie have you been watching? harry potter?
on the other hand this movie wasn't meant for dumbs
I like this movie a lot. But the CGI didn't fool anyone. I get he needs to look like Bruce Willis but cmon, nobody would have questioned if they just ignored the stupid face cgi. It does however beat Gemini Man. God that movie sucked
You’re clearly a fool. There wasn’t cgi it was prosthetic makeup 🤣
It’s not cgi I thought it’s prosthetic
It certainly fooled you because no CGI was used on his face.
