Chris was still better in my opinion, but tortilla has definitely improved his voice had much more power in it 🤘🏻

He’s still the best drummer Slipknot’s ever had, and it was the bands decision to speed up the songs in order to try to fit more at least one more song in the setlist

Joey was such an amazing stand out drummer in everything he was in from slipknot to murderdolls and sinaseaum. And eloy is a fucking monster. I dont like modern sepultura but his drumming is amazing on the recent albums
I think his mask mutes most of his yells but he's definitely improving
Its probably more likely because he is cupping the mic. It makes vocals louder at the expense of clarity
the only thing I don't like about Pfaff is that his voice is muffled because of the mask

Michaels vocals today are great. But I can't believe they let him do those backround vocals at the beginning. Out of 8 other people, it was the best option to let michael do it? 😂 somebody in this band gotta have a better scream than michael had back then.

He was so laughingly bad at first but now i like him more Chris. Chris was great, but i just prefer tortilla's demonic vocals. I just wish they turned his mic up more

Has anyone noticed how Corey avoids pronouncing "s" sounds in his 2023 performances? It makes his vocals sound weirdly floaty and lazy. He sounds really good in the new 2024 performances with Casagrande though.

He's improved so much!
He has really impoved!
He definitely wasn't good at all when he started, he was doing the more muppet style screaming, but now he's actually growling his vocals. 1000x better than when he joined, but like anything, it comes with practice.
I love Chris' vocals more though, but I love how much energy Pfaff brings to the stage

My theory is that it was probably his mask at first. You didn't really see his mouth because of the zipper. And he also needed to pay his dues for the first tour with them.
He went to sounding like a first grader, to sounding like a whole sports arena after a point was scored.

Man I love this, you gotta understand he wasn't always a Metal guy thus he had a rough start at 2019. Shows how much he worked on those lows and built his own identity, gotta love Pfaff he keeps getting better and better maybe at par now with Chris Fehn.

They NEED to turn his microphone like 50% higher, his muffled mask and style make it almost impossible to hear, saw them live in 2019 Costa Rica, absolutely missed his voice, was not there at all
What I noticed when he originally joined, he really hadn’t designed his mask … so he SOUNDED like he was singing in a mask. It was echoey and muffled.
He sounds much better now … due to various reasons I’m sure, but one of those I can guarantee you is mask improvements.

They definitely had him go through some vocal training. Imagine if Anders took Corey's offer to rejoin Slipknot. The backing vocals would have been brutal.

Tortilla Man sounds so much better now. However, i will always be a longtime Chris fan, so i will prefer Chris's voice over Tortilla Man, but he is pretty good now! I'm not saying i hate it i absolutely love it.

This isn't towards Tortilla but more towards Corey: Michael Jackson was one of if not the first person to use autotune and he only used it live because he would always be dancing and would get out of breath. I think that metal singers such as Corey Taylor should also use a little autotune because he really is yelling at the top of his lungs and jumping around like a rabbit in spring and his vocals sound really out of tune 70% of the time. It's not his fault, he's a great singer, but using autotune live would benefit their sound so much more.
Why did one of the most successful metal bands in the world hire a backup singer who needs to improve...
