With BI all of the sudden working on DayZ again and actually re-hiring.. That alongside the fact that theres a new Arma with new engine in development and the iteration of DayZ that was the most popular n liked being the one run on Armas engine and had Armas assets, so one could always hope that there'll be a re-release of DayZ in the future Arma 4 engine and have it like it was when they were still sharing assets and was catering to a so much broader audience than it currently is.
This is what I love so much about Namalsk and the toxic zone updates to Chernarus. I have a mission to focus on and the PvP finds me along the way. Much more fun than just chasing shots

It seems like instant death. Every vid I've seen so far results in death at the planet, even when fully kitted out with LEHS Mk3 suits (crafted on the 3D printer with three filaments orange blue and red and the blueprint CD and an access card I think), with guys just running around trying to figure anything out. They get some alerts and warnings but can't seem to do anything productive. If a sandstorm blows through they can sometimes shelter in one of the temp buildings but eventually get insta killed. A bunch of dead ends. Only way to survive is to return via the orb just as the C3 sandstorm hits. I did find this: "...get the Gauss rifle, M4 or the AUG, and the enzyme pen for invisibility to AI back on Namalsk. Having a powered suit with the built in nightvision, the huge damage protection and lots of stamina, with an M4/AUG/Gauss and the enzyme pen active is basically putting you in godmode when you go back to Namalsk island...the sandstorm is just a cool experience to do in game...it’s like a cool bragging right/thing you can say you’ve done...If you jump in it within the first 2 minutes you’ll end up back in A3 - if you jump in between 2 minutes and when it disappears around 6.5-7 minutes, you just get thrown in a random place on the map"

vanilla dayz should introduce arma life type of objectives... random airdrops people fight over, XP system with various unlockable perks as u progress, conflict zones that happen once every 4 hours where you can control sectors like in a domination game giving you XP on your player, but they are in random locations each time, in-game currency & resource gathering with traders, home buying for people who struggle to build or stay alive long enough to build a base, safe zones where weapons are automatically holstered while inside it for trading with other players. little things like this would open it up to so many more players, especially those on console. maybe it could even be added as a separate game mode so that the die hard original dayz players can still have what they know and love without major changes. its more than possible when you look at what comes from some of the mods it has.
Has anyone used nbc gear when they jump in?? Haven't seen any videos with people using them. That could be how you can explore longer???? Any thoughts Ishmael??
NBC hear doesn't seem to work any better in my opinion. There's a video on how much is actually explorable so even if you could last longer, the actual loot is still mostly in the 1st room
I think it makes a bubble so when you get there it's a bubble of our atmosphere and then afterwards it pops when they're disappears and allows the toxic area to come back in, keep up the marvellous content ☮️💟☯️👊🧟
Glad you liked it! I like that theory, many ppl think that an NBC suit protects you but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Maybe eventually we will be able to get a full SCBA mask to take our own oxygen with us and stay longer!
You do the "drop the backpack " move often. Do you think it contributes well? Might be something i try experimenting with in the future depending on your answer.
im not abou sneaking in this game. but i think that noise level has to do with your encumbrance. if you have large backpacks filled with gear and two rifles on your back, you are making more noise than a fresh spawn

I did a voice over for the narration but otherwise its just organic gameplay. Every once in a while I move my audio, for example if I said something important while there was a loud noise in game, I may move it 2 seconds earlier so you can hear my voice better if that makes sense
Yes that extra thing (blanking on the name) I used in the second trip to Lantia extends how long you can stay which is why I had about two minutes that time. I think you can use 2 or 3 of those to extend the length of the trip
Ok I watched a bit of it now. I was turned off because getting to Lantia solo is very very difficult on a high pop vanilla like server and when you see fully geared from start you suspect its an easy high loot server, so not so big of an achievement. You can go further in Lantia now as there is a suit you can make. We see another life start where he arrives at Candy Cane with an AK and an SVD with spare mags etc and every player he kills has tons of pristine ammo and mags. The Z's don't aggro when he is sprinting past them at 20 meters and he kills one with one chop of a hand axe. This IS an 'easy mode' server (lots of loot and easy Z's), but that's fine, it's not a bad vid.

Chill Pilgrim did it a few times. Full NBC def gives you more time outside the safe zone. But not a lot.
I don't think it's gas, I think it's something alien. Maybe Namalsk Content Update #3 next year will give you a way to stay indefinitely, who knows
