I’m running into this problem now in my apartment. It runs hot even when it’s set to 50

Currently telling mine to please turn in the heat because it says it should be 21° in here but it's 16°
Just turn off any schedule and only use the manual feature. This is how to turn off the schedule:
1. Hit system
2. Press the 2nd and 4th button together and use arrow to go to program 160
3. “0” is "off" and “4” is on
4. Use arrow key to change it to “0”, then hit “Done”. Now the schedule is turned off.

The guy who installed our Honeywell thermostat never left the manual and my husband never read them but he is dead now and I always use the manuals and it looks like my thermostat does a lot more than I never knew it did but I really don’t like things so complicated. But thanks for explaining it.
Thanks! I finally was able to program this thing 🤪, although yours is slightly different model, I was able to follow along n Now I got a schedule for Wake & Sleep the whole week thru!
For those looking to HOLD at different Temperature..
I’ve tried this but be forewarned as keeping it on Hold extended periods can cause your thermostat to fail or damage.
So only use for a weekend or if on vacation mode.
(This is preferable rather than turning the system offline during winter-time so your pipes do not freeze n you come home from vacation to a water pipe break n a whole lot of damage n mess! 😭)
Directions: simply adjust the temp arrows up or down, it’ll hold for a few hours, press HOLD n it’ll hold permanently.
🥳You set, now to get out of Hold mode, simply press Cancel or SCHED n it’ll resume the normal schedule.

I work from home, I want it to be same temp all the time.
My schedule and hold setting "buttons" are blank. I dont know how to fix that and the heaterwil only work on the "ON" setting. Any suggestions on fixing this ?

This guy left out some very important "details." Let me fill in some (I am just an ordinary guy with two of these thermostats). There are two programming modes: one for the user/homeowner and one for the installer. The simple features (like clock and temperature changes at a given time) are for the user. Complicated features (like backup heat source and cycles per hour per compressor) are in the installer mode. Unfortunately, date, month and year are in the installer mode, I guess because they claim a 10-year battery for the clock. Anyway, this guy first showed how to enter installer mode (press "system" key, then hold the two blank buttons for 5 minutes). He referred to having to use the manual which is true: there is a 4-digit code in installer mode and the manual says what the 4-digit code represents (like "first 2-digits of the year") and you adjust the other number with the up/down arrows for each setting. There is nothing else a homeowner might want in the installer settings.
The other mode for the homeowner is easy - choose the day and set the temperatures and times.
Now, the thermostat might currently be running a program OR it might be set to "Hold." If you adjust the temperature and hit "hold," it will stay at that temperature forever. To release Hold mode just press the "Sched" button. NOTE: if you want to temporarily adjust the temperature, just change the temperature with the up/down arrows. Do not press hold. It will stay at your new temperature until the next scheduled programming change and the program will resume. Or you can adjust the "temporary hold" time right after you adjust the temperature - when that time comes it will resume the programmed temperature. Your kids will hit hold every time and waste energy (and MONEY!)

Lol Just press CANCEL that should do it, to go back on hold, adjust the Temperature arrows up or down n you’re good for a few hours,
(it should display a TEMP HOLD)
press Hold 1x n should display PERM HOLD which is infinitely until you press CANCEL or SCHED again.

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass Reformation comments I read people just want to know how to get their heat on or AC on and stay that way they're not really worried about programming the date time their vacation schedule with time the first person wakes up with time does the first person go to bed and I'm not taking it out on you I just it's it's too much for something that should just be simple and my friends little bit older and he had a young AC guy that put this in and was going to put sensors all around the house for the way the sun came up around the house and was going to save all this money and after the boy got two-thirds of his money he was gone and wouldn't come back so now he's playing he'll just trying to keep the heat running. Like I said I'm not trying to be a smart-ass for taking it out on you but this is just overkill for a damn thermostat by my all they need to have a butler that comes with it. But I cannot find the video that just tells you how to override it and put it just on a regular thermostat mode as in heat on to a certain degree or air conditioner on to a certain degree. If anybody knows of a UA-cam video that just shows you how to do that for the 1000 please put a link up I would very much appreciate it that should have said 8000 I'm sorry

Stupid thermostat
What a POS technology! Why so complicated? I can't set mine without watching a bunch of videos. I'm inclined to rip it out and put in an old school mercury unit.
