Peas, peas and carrots, green beans, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, celery, cabbage (cabbage rolls, coleslaw (vinegertte dressing). The 70s were inflation years. Lots of meat loaf, casseroles (ground beef, chicken, tuna). And stuffed peppers (ground beef and ground turkey), cabbage rolls, fried chicken, tacos, burritos, crepes or blintzes (cottage cheese or fillings like burritos), baked potatoes with sour cream, chili con carne, soups and stews. 80s were steaks, pizza, spaghetti, lasagne, fish (mahi mahi, etc), stir fry (ground beef or steak or chicken) either lots vegetables. Started eating broccoli, different salads (pasta prima vera, ceasar salad, many new types, hot bacon dressing), shrimp, shish kebab, Korean food (rice and spicy chicken or pork). 90s we had middle eastern foods (kebab, falafel), pita bread, chopped salad, fake crab sushi, soups and stews and lots of food we ate in 80s. 00s, Indian foods, Japanese and Korean foods. Pizza (homemade and restaurant gourmet), vegetarian foods on purpose, steaks and other meats, all kinds vegs.

My father grew up eating tv dinners so it’s a very nostalgic meal for him. Growing up myself, I remember laying on the floor with him eating TV dinners and watching espn news or something but honestly that’s not important. The important part is that he shared something from his childhood with me and passed on the nostalgia. I can’t wait to have kids of my own someday and hopefully pass it on to them as well.

Shoot! When I was in college, I was too poor for ground beef. I lived off ramen and spaghetti with cheap tomato sauce. Sloppy joes would have been a treat! I did however have the meal plan at my dorm freshman year. So 2 meals a day while classes were in session. Pasta and scrambled eggs on school breaks unless my grandma would let me live with her for 2-3 weeks.

I did however have the meal plan at my dorm freshman year. So 2 meals a day while classes were in session. Pasta and scrambled eggs on school breaks unless my grandma would let me live with her for 2-3 weeks.

As a person from the 1910’s I can confirm that that is what we ate
as a spanish person (sorry if i cannot type some things) i can say that that are not tacos, here the tacos not have lettuce and the tortilla it's not that yellow it's like a more orange and we put it lemon, salsa, cabbage or radish not lettuce or tomato (you can make your taco and you can add whatever you want just don't hate me for my opinion)
