I have yet to find a plugin that retains quality like this while changing the speed. If we can do it in real life why can't we program it!? This is sick, I love it this way.
You'd best look for something with oversampling, or increase the overall sample rate of your DAW/audio drivers. When you slow down digital audio, you're not technically losing any information, it's just being played back at a slow enough speed that you can pick up on its imperfections. Vinyl doesn't have the same sample rate issues that some forms of digital audio do. Who knows though, AI is already as good as it is. Maybe one day we get a convincing enough tool :D
the trick is pitch changing. if you find a naive audio stretch/squash you'll get perfect quality. time stretching WITHOUT messing up pitch is the hard part, and why it usually sounds bad I wouldn't be surprised if your DAW has this built in without any plugin needed - I know both FL and Ableton do
why do it with a plugin? changing the sample rate of a song or just time stretching it and adjusting pitch works perfectly. in ableton, if you set your clip to warp mode 'repitch' and lower the bpm you get a perfect slowed version.
Kero kero bonito's voice is more clear here
it was Kero Kero voice all along from the beggining ???

you should definitely get the SMILE! :D vinyl and do something like this again. kinda obsessed with the sound of playing vinyl at 33RPM
It will sound normal, most regular 12" records play at 33RPM. It slows down 7" records because they're meant to be played at higher speeds like 45RPM
@@robbie8210the Smile vinyl is a 45rpm press !
@@robbie8210 SMILE! :D is 45
@@blurengoI just got mine today and haven’t tossed it on yet. If it really is a 45 press that’s wild and makes it so much better
i very much prefer musician in this light
been obsessed with my nurture vinyl at 45 rpm
This is my first exposure to this track and now I'll never be comfortable with the original's speed, this feels right
This is just George Clanton
