- this is my attempt at making what it would sound like if Porter Robinson released his song Knock Yourself Out XD on his 2014 album Worlds. :3

to be clear! i didn't make this because i think worlds' style is "better" or anything. i love everything i've heard from SMILE! :D and i'm stoked for this era!! just wanted to try my hand at reinterpreting it ^-^
and yea, that last drop is a little less worlds and a bit more synthion but SHHHH i couldn't resist

the only (and i mean ONLY) thing missing might be pitching the vocals up a couple octaves like so many of the worlds songs have, but I'm no artist at all so I imagine you tried that already and it didnt sound right. That being said, I audibly gasped at the last drop... extraordinarily well done!!! It's seriously good enough to be played in a set and I think if there was any artist to 1) see a remix with 24k views on youtube and 2) actually put it in his tracklist it would be Porter. Best of luck and either way it's an awesome remix!!!!

@@thepinktreeclub I mean that’s fair, and also the story of how I found his music is even more ridiculous, cause I found him in a meme music mashup that used like 5 seconds of his song, which for credit linked to a Steven Universe Lapis Lazuli tribute with Goodbye to a World.
Anyway since then my entire music taste has revolved around him

i met him because back in the absolute peak of my weeb era i was doing all i could to learn japanese right, like every other otaku does.
so youtube recommended Namasensei to me and really studied with him, i liked his angry humor and all that jazz, then one day i just saw someone commenting about a DJ called Porter Robinson sampled him on a song called 100% (cant say the rest).
anyway, not long after that, i was introduced to Language, and being a huge fan of Zedd , that song blew my mind as well.
Porter was definetely in my radar but not really one of my favorites, but i liked him enough to show his songs to my best friend, and when Worlds dropped, both of us were mindblown!
AND i slept on worlds for a while, i only listened to it fully after a mashup on Ableton Push that some dude made, forgot the name, anyway, made my teen age's OST for sure

I don't get worlds that much but that's a cool remix I can't wait for a millions mixes and versions of Porter's new songs, that's how the fun never ends !! GG on making this, I'm going to listen it again !
