@@danmarm5357the thing is, if a song is sampled at a sample rate of 44.1 kHz and then, it is slowed to half its original speed, the sample rate would be halfed as well (in this case to 22.05 kHz)
@@soy_limo it wouldn’t change the quality still. You would export at 44khz. Meaning there is more than enough headroom for very high frequencies to to not cause problem, pitching it up could make problems tho but not if you export at a higher than 44khz sample rate. If this song is cut at 28hz - 20khz then pitching it down would make it like 22hz - 18khz of audible frequencies.
@@danmarm5357 I think you're confusing sample rate with the frequency range of the audio. Highest frequency encoded is usually half the sample rate (see Nyqyist Theorem). So, a sample rate of 44.1 kHz translates to 22.05 kHz of actual frequency range in the audio.
@@fcurti youtube vids have the audio compressed meaning wen u slow it, it sounds rly bad whereas the vinyls have way better quality meaning it sounds much nicer.
You’re spreading out the experience over more time, each individual element is less stacked together so it makes sense you’re able to hear more detail this way
It feels so weird to hear it in a different key but also it sounds nice! The original key was B major but it’s been brought down to F-sharp Major (Gb Major) which happen to be the same key Look At The Sky and Trying To Feel Alive are in!
Wow this is beautiful. This version makes me so emotional. I love the original but this is just as good. There’s something about hearing the slower pace and Porter’s natural voice that just hits so hard.
I’m not sure of this is because it’s a vinyl or because it’s porter, but it’s pretty surprising for me that the song sounds this incredible even in an unintentional tempo.
This is by definition daycore Because Nightcore is playing 33.3 rpm at 45 (or the digital equivalent) (source: the Wikipedia article of Nightcore) (that I basically wrote lol)
the fact vinyl is analog and doesn't distort or scrap the song because of poor bitrate is golden to do this kind of stuff
sample rate but yes exactly
Slowing down a song without stretching it doesn’t cause artifacts neither

i love vinyl because when you slow it down everything still sounds clean
i love analog
This is why I'm so grateful for the Nurture vinyl i got, i can listen to it in whatever mood i want
Bruh any software can do the exact same

@@maru3497not quality so much as the medium of storing and reading data. vinyls are analogue, videos are digital
@@maru3497 Tried this on my lossless audio files of this song. It's crisp.

aint 'flicker' also in F#? 😳
@@kelemon I think so! It’s hard to say as the chords in the key are slightly different but I think you are right!
i'm so glad nurture exists
and we live in the same age as him
calling this vaporwave is like calling the hubble telescope an airplane
it's like calling Alvin and the Chipmunks nightcore
what
This feels like it should have been the closer on good faith
sounds like a completely new song, so much groove!
this is truly breathtaking, deserves much more attention!
is it just me or does slowed down porter robinson just sound like anything from Madeon’s Good Faith album LMAO
never really heard any madeon's song, i will try it later
oh true
@Halsey Robinson no way Haley Robinson are you related to Porter
@@Airoon definitely do so
pretty sure that GOOD FAITH was what inspired porter to write this album... especially the Christianity influences and topics discussed in both albums

Really feeling this tempo too.
This is perfect to me unlike the other ones. Hits harder dramatically. Instant romance
i love this so much

This sounds more worlds vibe imo
i enjoy thoroughly
This is bliss
this gave me goosebumbs I love it
this is awesome, please do more
The strings tho with this slowed down.
But damn now I’m wishing I had this on vinyl.
vaPorterwave Robinson
really soothing...
Now playback to 1.5

But if glory makes you happy, why are you so broken up?
putting this video on 1.25 for perfection
Holy cow I haven't thought about that. Thanks! xD
who knew perfection was choppy audio due to a shit media player lmao
yyeeeeah
ooh
大体の曲はスロー再生すると怖い曲になるけど、この曲は明るさ、心地よさが残ってる。
better than suzuki slowed ones ?
Probably something to do with digital slowing distorting certain bandwidths and this being directly, mechanically slowed
