There are A LOT of creatures that I am glad are much smaller than humans, this is one of them.
Yes!Size does count. Stargazers, and Common squid would be terrifying to swimmers.
Actually there is some species of it much larger than a human
@@ahmedsamy8406 you must be thinking about squid or octopus. The largest cuttlefish (giant Australian cuttlefish) gets about 1 meter in length, tentacles included.
The Humboldt Squid is much smaller than humans, BUT(!) like wolves they hunt in packs.
You remember giant squid exist right?
"Cuttlefish Eats Fish Alive"... as opposed to other fish that catch clean and cook their fish, right?
🤣
To be fair lots of animals do kill things before they start eating, although not many cook them first😀
Scavengers are a thing, tho
He meant "in one piece"
Bears clean their fish when they peel the skin off
"That was a close one, right Bob?... Bob?..."

Really shows how well these dudes can camouflage when I can't even see them on screen at first. That cuttlefish looks kinda like a grumpy old man. XD
This is how it happened. Two designers from the Department of Nightmarish Aquatic Creatures(the DNAC for short) were at the Sand Bar one night blowing off some steam. One of them says to the other," I think I have done it, I have designed possibly the most nefarious imaginable. I call it the Bobbet worm. I'm not sure that you are ready to know about how this things operates." The other guy says, " Oh yeah, I am going to eat some mushrooms, and design color-changing psychedelic eyed octosquidfish. but just to be sneaky...I'm gunna use the word CUTTLE in it name,"
"Cuttlefish eat fish alives" damn i never knew it , i thought the cuttlefish would batter the fish first and slowly cooked it in boiling oil while serving it with some ranch sauce
😂
Same here, I always thought they preferred the frozen variety.
BlankPNG Didn't Even Try To Oven Bake it For Healthier Options
Ranch? Do you even eat?
Maybe the title is because there are several species of cephalopods (cuttlefish included) that are also scavengers. So pointing out that it's eating a fish alive is correct.
There seems not much work involved on the part of the Cuttlefish. Most prey seems to just sit there and go „Oh, I got cought, well then.“
The cuttlefish missed quite a few times in the video, maybe not so easy
@@sharnwhung If by "missed" you mean being too lazy to put in any effort and making a halfhearted attempt at a barely responsive prey, yeah.
Im positive some fish if not all were disabled by camera crew making it more easy for cuttlefish. I spearfish and freedive so ive seen few in action.
@@ValterZzzz Seems not really fair to the fish...
Pretty sure most cephalopods have paralysing venom.
Last thing fish sees before getting eaten: 👁👄👁
These cuddlefish are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for making this video! I was curious as to how they catch their prey. I didn't know they had 2 tentacles they grab it up with. I thought they just had the 8 arms! :)
2:30 a.m. and I should be asleep...
Cuttlefish: *eats fish*
Bruce: peace was never an opposition.
Asians: Well met indeed.
Cuttlefish: Cuddles! [Gulp]
Unlucky other fish: yay cuddl-ARGH I'm being eaten!
1:36 is a free meal right there
Lol. That last bit... Flathead eats small fish, turns and realises it's doomed.
The Cuttlefish are so evolved its amazing how defenseless the fish are
I squirt babies by the millions, who are you calling defenseless?
@@DzinkyDzink your a fish?
Bullshit. It's called intelligent design. Shit doesn't evolve. Fucking spend 10 minutes doing some due diligence and stop believing what others tell you.
@@surferdude8086 XDDDDDD
@@surferdude8086 Stuff, does in fact evolve and evidence shows that theory is backed.
What’s the other alternative? They popped into existence?
Please let me know, I’m genuinely curious
I swear. A regular fish has just to be the most easiest living being to catch and eat in the wild. A fish has just evolved for the sole purpose to feed all the other predators/living beings.
And of course for reasons they must to have a important role for the ecosystem but still
He just wants a little cuddle time with them.
The worst part is: they're not even dead yet when the cuttlefish has caught them. Then, the killing begins.
kkme7 cool ;)
Most predators do that,
1:07 that's just aunt Martha, you know how she always steals kisses at funerals
Half octopus half squid, full alien
The fish just sees a fnaf jumpscare
Giant version of cuttlefish: cuddles!
As it swallows you whole and slowly digests you
Fish 🐟 in the back ground fleeing - oh shit they GOT JOEY BOYS !!
They're like those sleepy eyed, laid back assassins that can kill with amazing efficiency
Sounds like Kakashi
Feeding cuttlefish make me think of Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre in 007 or as Hannibal Lecter on the telly.
Cuttlefish remind me of MIND FLAYERS... O_O
they just want to cuttle 😂
1:37
Cuttlefish: Ano..... Kimi o tabete mo īdesu ka ???
Fish: meh.
Why do I only end up watching such bizarre and mildly disturbing videos post 2am? :(
@Bhavika Sicka • because you are curious and possibly sick and twisted like me and many others on UA-cam.
@@1979bobhd :( I'm vegan, so while I enjoy nature documentaries, (because yes, I admit that I'm curious), I also find myself unsettled and depressed by them.
Cuttlefish is a majestic version of squids/octopus
2:47 « What will u doing sticky boi ? Exactly, nothing »
Awesome vid and I really appreciate the slomo plus lovely food hunting music!
these things are so good at camouflage. I didn't even see them a few times in this video.
Neither did the fish 😉 K
Fish: "Oh hai weird fish...uh oh I'm being eaten. Well there's my 2020"
@Omar Tanguma • Fish oh shit this Cuttlefish is going to eat me alive, oh well 2020 has been the worst year with Covid-19 and the economy tanking and now my cousin the Squid tells me Joe Biden won the election in the USA go ahead and take me Cuttlefish put me out of my misery !
I think I found my new vacuum cleaner
Imagine if Zoidberg had these powers
The Gene Simmons of underwater habitats.

great job on the music selection
Who needs to go looking for alien life, there it is!
Alien Life--yes but imagine if they were 2 -3 metres long. Who would swim in the Bay
Ha! Yes, quite!
Sea creatures are astoundingly ugly, and the deeper you go, the uglier they get
@@PangQuong please use feet and inches on UA-cam. Thanks
Cuttlefish remind of the character in the water tube in Dune that could fold space! I think it was modeled after the cuttlefish!
The guy forgot to write compilation in the title !!!!!
Did the cuttlefish inspire Alien and the second mouth?
uno de los animales mas increíbles de la naturaleza sin lugar a dudas...
Squid+octopus+Chameleon=cuttlefish 👌
Looked like it was mimicking a dinosaur walking on the floor
I love Giant Ozzy Cuttles! Fantastic video! Cheers!
Not exactly Ode to Joy for the victim. Ode to Din-Dins for the Cuttle fish.
Still great music to watch someone eating!
Nature is about kill or be killed
0:44 she close the fish eye and grab it damn so smart the fish dont even know where she is :D
My Budgie has the last laugh.
fish at end with long spines and kinda flat body. Whats that fish called?
1:36 sneak level 100000
What do you mean by alive? Is it suppose to cook it before eating?
So it’s kind of a water chamaeleon?
Feels like I'm watching old Disney cartoons
He is so stealthy moving so slowly and sometimes he looks just like a rock or a plant
Perfect music! Kudos.
Marvelous footage K
nice to have some class music on for a change
Good video work Pang. I have theory that cuttlefish also 'stun prey' with a small electrical charge when the 'mouth parts' come into contact with it.
imagine being eaten alive by a bird...thats pretty much whats happening
worms: hold my chicken nuggies
Fun choice of music!
Who needs Xenomorphs.....
Great use of elegant music for fine dining, these are truly alien beings both beautiful and deadly.
hide yo kids, hide yo wife, cuttlefish be eatin' errybody out there
That tong... And eating the thing whole... Reminds me to Yoshi from the Mario Bros.
How comes some of the fish aren't moving much
This roadhog rework is really creepy.
oh love the shots but love the music more! ;-)
mommy tina 😫😩
awesome pang.
0:35 Oop- there goes Karen...
"Do you want the Vanilla paste or the Cuttlefish?"
কাগুওঘজক্স
I wanna be eaten by one of these for some reason
reminds e of the conch and cone snails... hmmm... they have a kind of 'net', of translucent sack, that they use to envelop their prey, which looks like, in the cuttlefish, to have evolved to have 'arms' as part of the sack, and the cone snail and conch also shoot out a 'proboscis' to capture/sting/paralyse their prey...
Classical music is so underappriciated.
Dear God! This abomination is like a Lovecraft monster. Imagine something like that if it grew to the size of a blue whale?!
thank you for this amazing video
My son adores sharks and cuttlefish, I made him some plushies when he was young and he still cuddles with them till now (he is in college) , they are my best selling items on my etsy store
thanks for your positive comments...glad to hear you enjoyed them
Cuttlefishes are clever hunters. (The fish in the end isn't a cuttlefish).........
Beethoven's Ninth? Really? I would have used his Sixth or Seventh sympathy instead.
An amazing predator!
I've seen enough anime to know where this is going.
Reminds me of the 1950’s monster movies I grew up on.
This music is great
what else? shall he cook it first?
Imagine that shit was 3 meters long. You are at the beach and all of the sudden it sticks ur tongue on your stomach lol
Its like the old cartoons background music
im late but, now i know where they got the demogorgon from in stranger things. 0:45
Why the film music?
the fishes seem paralyzed... No fights or reactions of any kind.
Some cuttlefish change pigmentation acting as a sort of hypnosis, disabling movement, meaning a free meal
@@rilke1791
Well, that's a notable point. It's really possible and rational to believe that this genius creature can really hypnotize a fish.
But even if the fish is temporarily hypnotized, it should reach a point where it realizes that it's being eaten by something and then its tail should be at least flinching a little bit. In contrary, the fish looked completely calm and paralyzed.
I have done some searching about it, some say that the cuttlefish is instantaneously discharging a certain amount of paralyzing venom in its prey through its tentacle limbs.
I think I was too concern about it ... but it was really an unusual behavior. thank you for your positive participation anyway.
@@Unknown-qy3dx it's also a slowed down video
i was surprise if the title . "cuttlefish cook and eat the fish"
What is the title of the music ? Anyone knows ?
,think its 9th Symphony ,by Beethoven.
@@PangQuong thanks
Great music!
Sure glad my little Fire Wizard didn't have to face THOSE things down in Crab Alley last night...
I can just hear the other fish talking... Anyone seen George?
So what is a cuddle fish, a fish?, Octopus or a squid?
Cuttlefish are a type of cephalopod mollusc that are more closely related to squid than they are to octopuses.
0:32 doesn't know how to cuttlefish
Do you want me to eat the cuddlefish and asparagus or the vanilla paste?
@2:35 is that red thing a cuddle fish?
That or a random patch of coral
Wow that's Awesome. This is one of the coolest things ever. It has a tongue that comes out like a Chameleon... or something.
That is the creepiest thing I have ever seen
It's cool watching how these animals hunt and the music that is in the video is Beethoven Symphony No. 9
You would think that the music would alert the fish
