  • In this episode, it’s all about mental management and preparing for race day. 🧠💪 Whether it’s physical, emotional, or mental stress, your body doesn’t know the difference-so learning how to manage all forms of stress is key to staying on track.
    I’ll break down three core strategies I’m using to build mental strength as I prepare for the Whaka100:
    Managing Stress: Learn how recognising when to pull back and reset can actually improve your training. I share my own experience with hitting a breaking point, and how I came back stronger the next day.
    Motivation Through Action: Motivation isn’t just a feeling; it’s built through consistency and showing up even when you don’t want to. I’ll share how I keep pushing forward, even on tough days.
    Controlling What You Can: You can’t control the weather or other race day factors, but you can control how prepared you are. I’ll show you how to stay ready for whatever comes your way.

    Love this Katy, can't wait to share this with my daughter. She has trained and raced in the past, and tried to race when under the weather. I'm hoping this will put into perspective why everyone was so impressed with what she achieved when she was so down on herself for not performing.

    Great content Katy , these videos are well timed for me as I’ve been in a funk about this years Whaka due to illnesses and injury .

    Really hope you get back to racing if that’s you goal but I thought this a few times over the last few years you would make a fantastic team manager or a mental coach for a team, you show all the qualities I see in teams
