Everything about Kura Sushi looks like fun! From the condiment/utensil hidey hole to the cool Gachapon plate guzzler (and game) to the fully automated experience, it's so quirky, easy, and family friendly. Not to mention cheap. Twenty plates of sushi would cost 5 times that where I live. Thanks, guys! 💙💙
The gachapon features items from Haikyū!! It's a popular anime about a high school volleyball team. It's actually a very well-written and heartwarming story, and that's speaking as someone who doesn't normally watch sports-themed anime. The character on the eraser you received is Tsukishima Kei.
I'm giggling right now because it looks like the "game" is just the eyecatch from the older seasons and you win if you randomly get the ones where they hit the bottle... And the scenes after you lose are from the anime too 😂 The collab must be because of the movie, since it came out pretty recently.
I enjoyed this video so much! The biggest reason is because here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania here in the United States, we have a Kura Sushi here as well! It was so interesting seeing the differences between the native and abroad Kura Sushi. For example, Kura here in Pittsburgh doesn't have the games, you have to eat a total of 30 plates in order to get a prize from the gachapon. As well as the eating utensils and where the soy sauce was we do not have. We also don't have a green tea station at the table! But, the sushi is fresh and always good! Thank you so much for this video!
My kids love sushi but I loathe it. Do the Kuras in the US offer the fishless options? I've only seen Kura vids from Asia. I'd love to take them to one sometime, but I gotta have something to eat, too. I'm allergic to egg, so no tamago.
@staceyn2541 Kura does have fishless options in the Pittsburgh one. They have ramen, tempura shrimp, tamago, fries, hamburg steak nigiri, cooked beef with umami oil or yakiniku based nigiri. There is a bit more that I cannot recall right now, but hopefully that helps you out!
I took my wife and sister in law to Hamasushi today for lunch. We prefer it over kurasush, both are close to our house. Hamasushi doesn't have prepared sushi you select off of the conveyor belt thing. Instead, you order it and it comes to you on a conveyor belt . Thanks for the video!!
What a nice surprise seeing Haikyuu while watching one of my fave food channels! It's cute that they used the serves from the eye catches to determine if it's a win or lose. Erasers shaped like the jerseys was a bit of a weird choice for a gacha prize though lol.
Everything looked so good. Especially the eel. Yum! We don't have a sushi conveyor restaurant here but a new sushi place opened up here recently that I really want to try and it's all you can eat sushi, appetizers, (calamari, gyoza, etc) and hibachi. $20 a person for lunch and $30 for dinner. And it's not a buffet, everything made to order. I thought that was a pretty good price for a restaurant like that. Going to have to try it out now that you've got me wanting sushi.😂🍣😋
we have kura sushi in chicago. i love the place and its so much fun. obviously japan has more items and the free tea is cool. the ones here have a robot that delivers the drinks and you get a free gacha for every 15 plates. i think the one in japan is cheaper per plate. its 3.40 a plate and ramen is like 10 dollars.
Kura is expanding here in the USA. I went first in Las Vegas a few years ago and now there's one in my hometown, Pittsburgh. I love it - the food is good quality and although it's cheaper than the average American sushi bar, it costs at least twice of what it is in Japan. No free tea either. The gachapon automatically sends a prize with every ten plates.
I've heard of kura sushi! I think there are a few here in the states, though I think the nearest one to us is quite a ways away... so maybe someday. it all looked amazing especially the tempura shrimp one.
I never noticed (in other Kura vids) that you could get a half order. I love that you can pay extra to guarantee a win. Totally worth it if you are there with kids. The prize might be super lame, but that's not the point for them. Adults need games too. All we ever get are punch cards for a free coffee after we buy 10.
I love Kura! They just opened one near me recently and love getting a little slice of Japan in America. Unfortunately it does add up real fast since it's 3.25 per plate not including extras.
It's $3.55 per plate before tax here at the Kura location in the US, Washington DC area. And you only get the toy for every 15 dishes that you eat. Still grateful though because the mom and pop Japanese restaurants nigiri around here cost much more than that, between $5 to $15 for 2 pieces.
A Kura Sushi just opened in my town (Columbus Ohio USA). I’m going to try it eventually but waiting for it to be less crazy crowded since it just opened. I’m now really curious how different it will be to this!
OMG - okay. The anime is Haikyuu. That's Hinata (the star of the anime and a very energetic character) who knocked out the water. The eraser is Tsukishima. The one who knocked the camera down was Kageyama...he's actually the best player in the team. You can tell I like this series. Hope you are feeling better, Shinichi.😇
I'm totally stocked at the amount you paid for all those dishes. Here in America, in the eastern part, there is the same place with rotating sushi it literally cost me 1 person $26 only 4 dishes.
Looks fun, but for me, not worth the additional price that only gives you a chance at winning a prize. I don’t watch that anime and even if o did, the prize isn’t worth what you pay for it
Still looks fun. If there was a bigger variety of prizes, and nicer ones and winning was guaranteed I’d love to eat there if I’m ever able to go to Japan
At this establishment, each individual plate represents the same fixed price. When they are deposited into the return slot, their system counts the numbers of plates and tabulates the total bill.
You would not believe the number of people around here that think sushi is raw fish and that if it doesn’t have raw fish it isn’t sushi😅 but California rolls that have imitation crab and are sushi😢 and heaven forbid you point out they are wrong and contradicting themselves.
The term "Sushi" refers to Rice being seasoned with Vinegar. "O su" denotes Vinegar and "Shi" is the contraction for "Shari", the word for Rice. In essence, it can be topped with a variety of different ingredients - not just seafood or raw items.

My favorite character has to be Shoyo Hinata. His expressions is pretty hilarious.
That would be around 100 usd in the US at our kuras. Most of them are 3.25 per plate
Great value! All that for 24 dollars. I would of feasted on many plates of scallops. Lol Prize was a tad lame. But still fun.
omg the Haikyuu animation! i love it & everything looks yummyy

@@savannahray8347 that was incredibly detailed! Extremely helpful, thank you so much! :)
Also from Pittsburgh - so happy they opened here!
@elisaastorino2881 Same! I try to go once a month so I can at least get aa gachapon prize or two lol
yo I remember going here in california but every gasha prize is every 15 plates

Forgot to mention, it cost ¥5,000 for the 3 of us including 2 non alcoholic beers . Us seniors eat less.

👀😃Fun & exciting way to eat conveyor belt sushi!-Always enjoy your food adventure videos wherever your appetite takes you!!!👏🤙⚡️
I love Sushi and I especially love pickled ginger. Yum yum ❤

Thanks. I will be in Tokyo next week and i plan to visit Kura. This video explains a lot. 😁
Love Haikyu!! So cool to see them being promoted at stores for their movie. Can’t wait for the international release in the US.
I'm praying they have a showing here in the Philippines, I want to see the Battle of the Garbage Dump on the big screen!
I like this style of silent video. dancing bacon does this too
I've heard of kura sushi! I think there are a few here in the states, though I think the nearest one to us is quite a ways away... so maybe someday. it all looked amazing especially the tempura shrimp one.
Danke!
THanks so much!!!
I appreciate your food videos because you always show the yen and dollar prices. Not easy to edit.

There is a Kura here in Atlanta and it looks very similar to this. Love it!
Super deal for the equivalent of 24 bucks. Another great one.
turned 50 last year and had sushi and sake for the first time. i am in love with sushi, especially tuna and salmon, but i have to find a sake i like
22 plates! Impressed!!
What fun the sushi look delicious all of it enjoy 😘😘❤️🤩🥰😍🌈💯🌹🌹🙏
I love Kura! They just opened one near me recently and love getting a little slice of Japan in America. Unfortunately it does add up real fast since it's 3.25 per plate not including extras.
Looked so good and inexpensive!
I usually both start and end sushi meals with krab salad gunkan and tamago nigiri. Sometimes I get inari at the end too.
Tsuki my fav character!

Same price in Pittsburgh - must be the standard for their American locations.
I am insanely jealous (and hungry). Here in Australia I'd pay that total amount for about 6 plates! And no game!!
A Kura Sushi just opened in my town (Columbus Ohio USA). I’m going to try it eventually but waiting for it to be less crazy crowded since it just opened. I’m now really curious how different it will be to this!
Wow that's so cheap. I've paid more than that for a single piece of fatty tuna from Musashino in Austin.
We just got a Kura Sushi location here in Euless, Tx.. It's a super fun place to eat, but really expensive here.
8:22 that looks like a very wise and honorable gentleman there on the right 🙏
The consistency of Natto took some getting use too. But Yes I Love Natto especially with a touch of hot mustard.
So do I, I've also tried Unagi before and loved it.
The best!
@@IWillAlwaysTravelforFood And they're right it had a meaty texture, but it's not the chewy kind. It does melt in the mouth, to quote another UA-camr.

It's a Tsukishima t-shirt from Haikyu! That's so cute. It's a funny anime. I recommend it.
I’ve been to Kura a couple of times and the only memories I have of there are stuffing myself silly trying to win the gacha.
*_Ah… Good times._*
under 25$ for two persons?
i cant imagine having a bill that low when eating out in my country
I'm totally stocked at the amount you paid for all those dishes. Here in America, in the eastern part, there is the same place with rotating sushi it literally cost me 1 person $26 only 4 dishes.
im hungry for some sushi now but not cheap like kura prices gone up here in hawaii at the market n the restaurants
We have two of them where I live in the states kura
Really wish sushi wasn't so expensive here. Best I can do is Sam's Club sushi and It's OK but not great and just the basic Americanized stuff.
We have a Kura Sushi in Phoenix AZ. We weren’t impressed with the Sushi. I am sure it’s much better in Tokyo
i wish norway had thse cheap version ours cost like 4-5 dollars per plate
I'd have paid 60 bucks at least for all of that sushi here in the US.
I will be going to the one near me on my birthday next month. 😊
🍣👍
Dang how much you eat!
Compared to what I've paid in the US for sushi, that's a pretty nice per-plate price! Sorry the prize was underwhelming. n_n;
👌🏻💙

And thank you for showing this! I feel like I’d go to a place like this not realizing the prizes are limited and there’s only a chance of winning.
Forgive my ignorance, but how does the machine know how much the different sushi cost by the plate alone?
At this establishment, each individual plate represents the same fixed price. When they are deposited into the return slot, their system counts the numbers of plates and tabulates the total bill.
กมลวรรณ ศิริวัง
They're the same people from Tabi Eats?
Yes
The sliding the dirty plates down that chute is a sneaky way for people to clear their table off
