    Hint: When you pull thread through (beading, sewing, embroidery, yarns etc.) hold the tail part in your fingers, letting it slide through; this will keep it from knotting 99% of the time! I'm old, been sewing & crafting for 55+ years, my great-grandmother taught me this!

    thank you so much for this video! I never even wanted to try playing with seed beads, it was only the beautiful things you create I watched while having morning coffee and you made it look so simple, and just 1/2 way through this now, I am LOVING it! It's like weaving magic, so relaxing. So thankful you create these videos to share, and your sweet little puppy warming the atmosphere! If you ever make a patron ... I wish I had an avenue to share the beauty you create and the talent you have for teaching (so relaxed ). Anyway...so it won't sound all creepy like...just very thankful and wanted you to know the little sparkly colorful magic you bring into many peoples day :)

    Hi Susan! I love doing bead embroidery!!! I do this A LOT with the cabochons I make. I have been inspired so much by your videos and love how easy it is to follow your tutorials! You have inspired me to expand on my polymer clay techniques and have started making some of my own beads from your tutorials. Also I wanted to let you know that I have shared your channel on my channel so that more people can come and see what great videos you do! Keep up the great work and hope you have a wonderful day!

    You always amaze with another awesome creation. Thank you for sharing this, I often wondered how to bead a bezel. Thank you for sharing. LOL, the thread has a mind of its own and always finds a way to catch on something or go into the wrong bead space when knotting. And, of course, it loves to just knot at any time or place.

    How would you mesh the beads around the edge when not using the felt?

    • @TurtleSoupBeads
      @TurtleSoupBeads  5 років тому

      Just the same stitch however the thickness of the felt and ultrasuede together gives the beads a edge to lay flat against.

  • @Crystalnachi

    What kind of thread do you use? I am so excited to try this with all of the cabachons I have made and set aside.

    Beautiful!! I had actually asked in a different video if it was the stiff felt that you use. Is there a specific name for it or just “stiff felt?” I’m wondering if I can buy it online...
    I have regular felt in my stash. Is it possible to stiffen it to use or is it just easier to buy the already stiff kind? Thank you in advance! 💜💕💜

    • @TurtleSoupBeads
      @TurtleSoupBeads  5 років тому +2

      Its a stiff felt that they sell at joanns its very inexpensive you can also use tge thickest interfacing and target sells a stack of felt that works really well also . Lots of options but idk how to stiffen felt but maybe starch?

    • @mrsbeckydaisy
      @mrsbeckydaisy 5 років тому

      The one a lot of people use is called Lacy’s stiff stuff. It is really expensive though I have found. I ordered a big pack of extra stiff felt that schoolteachers use and it works just fine. It is super cheap and you have loads of colors to choose from so you don’t have to color in with the markers.
