Great to see another of your videos! I miss you being on UA-cam! Thank you for taking the time to help us understand all the ins and outs of the beading world.
💖💜♥️💙 Thx for a thorough explanation of Eye Candy!🤩 I'm not a Beader but do have several colors and types of Seed Beads from when I used them in Crocheted Ornament Covers and general Clothing Embellishment. Now I sporadically use them in Jewelry and Resin projects. Beads are so versatile and the colors, styles and finishes make them hard to resist buying!!
This is a great video, Susan!! A few years ago, I bought a whole mess of beads, and the information you are providing is invaluable! If I ever purchase beads again, now I will be more educated and know what I am doing. Thank you so much!
Thanks so very much for the wonderful explanation of seed beads. I appreciate your taking the time to make this video. You are right, when buying online it can be very confusing. I bought galvanized beads only to find out after I had made several rings that the finish will wear off. Now they are just sitting in a bag waiting for me to take them apart or wear them until they turn. Either way the ring won't bring me the same joy it would have if I had know and bought the right bead to begin with.
Hi Susan, thank you for your video on the seed beads. It was very helpful. I miss your tutorials, I know you are doing the patron now. I hope everything is working out for you.
You got me into bead embroidery and I’m so glad!! Thanks so very much, Susan, for taking time to teach us even more. I got a subscription to a bead company so I could learn more about beads. There’s so much to know!
Nice to see you here again. I miss you! I saw hematite beads in a store, and had to have them. Big mistake. They are beautiful, but they are magnetic/polarized. That means if you string them end to end, they have to have their poles aligned + - + -...or they will push away from each other. They also stick together while you are stringing them, and get all tangled. I have a whole bunch of size 17 opaque beads I inherited from my late aunt. How she ever saw the damned holes in them is beyond me! I figured out that you have to use a really tiny wire needle to string them, and a magnifying glass. They are in their original glass tube containers, with real cork stoppers.
So great to see you! YES to your ugly bead practice! When I made costumes I did the same thing. People would ask why I put such and such together. I would usually tell them we wouldn't do that with everyday clothes but watch what happens on the stage!
Very very helpful. I've never had anyone explain the seed beads better.and I have looked online and utube and many times t&ey have only confused 😕 me more. Now I have a much better understanding . Thanks so much
This is good info. I had an older friend gift me her early collection of randoms as she progressed through her bead journey. Not bad beads by any means. She had just evolved/narrowed down (lol) to more specific niche of jewelry and this was just the random stuff she had collected over the years. It was overwhelming to say the least. Some cheap, some more from nicer sources, some salvage, some vintage salvage. I have my favorites. I think this video will help me organize them a bit better and go back through and identify some finishes and such. Thank you so much for sharing.
OmG!...Are you back?... I haven't seen your videos in a while. I miss my happy place. I'm sad most of your videos are gone. I used to watched and replay them a lot. 😭❤️ missed you.
@@828burke ❤️🙏🏾thanks! I'm so happy for her. She's extremely talented. I understand the move. 😩I just miss seeing her videos. 😭😩The sad part I wish I could afford to pay for her patron. Two kids and this economy doesn't help. Best wishes for her ❤️ I'm glad I got to see at least this video from her.
I was so happy to find you presented us with a video. And this was so informative. Thank you. You've helped me realize the differences between these beads... I randomly bought a number ot tubes of beads, and then I kinda wondered the why I did. You've clarified the differences between them Again thank you.
Susan it is so good to see you’re posting again I missed you and wondered where you where and if all was ok I only noticed you where posting again last night so have missed 3 videos Great now I can binge watch this evening It’s Good to see you again
So glad that you are back, missed your videos. I am wearing a pair of earrings that you designed. I love them. I have learned so much h from you Susan. Thanks for being such a good teacher.
WOW, your overwhelming knowledge comes from the years that you have worked with beads, and it shows. Thank you for the information, I never really knew about specific sizes, finishes or types, I would just purchase beads in the color that I liked, that was years ago. Nice to see, or should I say hear you again.
I really needed this tutorial Susan. I tend to walk into my local bead shop and I stay clear of all the beautiful seed beads, because I haven't got a clue what they all mean. So thankyou so much.
What a great video! I had to stop watching before I got too far in because I realized I need a pen and paper! This is great info I need to be writing down. Thank you for this perfect instruction to a crafter who is just beginning work with these small beads! Bless you!
Wowzer it’s so so so nice to hear from you, tfs the tip, yes I bead weave just about everything and my favorites are the 15/11/8 I will use the 6’s for stringing necklaces and the likes. The other three are my go to. I love all the beautiful colors you have in all sizes and shades. Color is so so fun. Again Tfs hugs to ya, and since it’s been such a long time I hope puppy is doing good. ❤
Wish I had seen this when I first started using seeds (something you inspired)! Learned alot since then but have still learned much from this video. How about Ceylon finish - a pearl -like look to the seeds. One of my favorites. Thank you Susan for sharing your knowledge.
I like the AB- clear. They are beautiful wether they are glass or plastic and they can be dyed any color. I have used them for bead fringe on lampshades that I make. 18:20
I've missed you so much! I've missed your detailed info and pretty jewelry making. I've watched many others, and so many of them don't know things; they even repeatedly say that they don't know. I say to my tablet; "Then you should've found out before you did the video." After a few of those types videos; I always unsubscribe. Please tell me that you're back. I've learned so much for you. I was so happy when I accidently found you, and I've been searching for someone to fill the void of you not having video's out, but I haven't. Thankx for the seed bead info; I was confused also. (Please be back). Take care.
I love AB beads, clear color lined beads especially the ones that make the color look magnefied & I have used magatama's in a kumihimo bracelet my 1st beaded kumihimo bracelet & even with instructions on how to make the bracelet the magatama's were a pain to load onto the cords.
I was just thinking about you yesterday. Wondering if you would ever post on youtube again. When I woke up and seen your video I was like she must of heard me lol
Hi! Do you have classes or tutorials on how to add the backing to a cabochon, my base seems to be a bit thick or i simply dunno how to work around it and end ud with a clean edge, do you have anything related on your patreon?

Good to see you again Susan! I will be selling my Austrian crystal beads. How's Etsy for selling beads?
I like to use translucent beads as a background filler to patterns I really want to have stand out. Like my Sakura and dragon patterned bracelets.
Sure have missed seeing your videos.
Beads are so fun.
💕💕THANK YOU 💕💕
Do you have a preferred brand of seed beads?
Hi,❤️
I miss your videos so much , i hope this is hello iam back ?
Hi! Do you have classes or tutorials on how to add the backing to a cabochon, my base seems to be a bit thick or i simply dunno how to work around it and end ud with a clean edge, do you have anything related on your patreon?
The first time I looked at seed beads online, I ended up just closing the tab! Lol. There may have been pain pills consumed after, as well!
I would Like to know If you have your older Videos From 4 years ago here in UA-cam in patreon too.
Yes, they are all on Patreon.
Do you ever use hex beads in your work?
Randomly but they can be hard to find
