The only time I’ve ever seen Dauntless used effectively is when a team was burning my teammate and they sat on top of his body and defused every choke bomb we threw at him. It was a galaxy brain play

I personally found necromancer quite helpful especially while fighting around the bush. Yesterday during one game my team was ambushed by another team between chapel and stillwater. Both of my teammates were downed but their bodies were covered by bushes. I killed one hunter and injured another, threw a chaos bomb as a cover, and use the nacromancer to revive both of my teammate, then it was an easy 3v2.

I too had a unique necromancy situation
      We third partied a compound
But we got sandwiched in between them
I believe those two team didn’t relies we were a third team right away
I was at 25 health due to a fire bomb and boss damage on me after originally fighting the boss I died and my mate with a necro Rez’d me
I was back in the game but then and my mate was down and only a few bars of health too due to a sniper hit
I used necromancy to get my friend back up and we left them to fight each other
We went to the other boss finished it off with a very lucky sticky bomb lol
Got our health bars back and extracted thanks necromancy 👊🏽🤠👍🏽

A few days ago a friend and I used necromancer and resilience for the first time. He got downed under the floor at C&A Lumber, and both of the enemy team were down there. I was on the upper floor and resurrected him with necro after a few seconds. He stood up and fanned his silenced nagant at them. The first one died before they even realised they were under attack and then I just jumped down the trapdoor and double barreled the other guy before they could do anything about it. We laughed so hard about that one. Now its one of our top picks and we found almost every game we play use for it since.

Necromancer is sleeper best perk in the game. I pull off stupid clutches with it all the time, and it is stupid good if combined with resilience. It is so undervalued atm, which is great because I can continue first picking it every hunter, and profiting off of being one of the only players that use it. Aggressive revives are great.

Most good explosive throws will be timed to airburst. Even tiny bits of terrain, or dead horse models on the ground can absorb the full force of a frag and save someone only a couple of meters away from taking any damage, so you should always try to have your grenade detonate just above the ground, or on top of your target. When throwing like this, dauntless can't counter it either.

Something I'd like to pin onto ambidexterous. 'It's nice, but [dual wieling] is rather mediocre.'
I have relied and died on dual pistols too often to actually consider them viable. At this point they're just extra ammo for my carbine or avtomat or an 'oh shit, oh fuck' option when my winfield doesn't have levering and I bust out the suppressed nagants hoping for a miracle.

Necromancer is a perk best used when slipping from a full engagement to stealth engagements. It also works wonders when there is a multiple team fight going on. Players will tend to focus on the team currently firing upon them, giving a stealthy necro time to revive their team in the background while completely safe themselves. This can quickly turn a fight in your favor if you utilize the chaos to your advantage. That being said, necro is only useful if the enemy team no longer is paying attention. It is pretty situational, which justifies its position as a lower tier perk. That said, it is powerful when it does come into play.
I share your sentiment with fanning and levering. Too many times I've been screwed over by RNG to take these anymore. The times it does work is amazing, but for every time it works, there's five failures between. Levering is a little bit better than fanning however, as the new musket bayonet winny has a really tight spread and gives it a lot more consistency and makes it a pretty viable choice within 10 meters. Again though, it's much more consistent to just fire two aimed shots.
I agree with you on Ghoul. It just saves a little bit of time, at a very high cost of points when you could've taken two better perks for the same cost. Those perks being Greyhound and Determination.
I disagree with your stance on Gator Legs. For only two points, water becomes much less threatening. That's HUGE. Especially depending on which map you are currently on and where you are at. Gator legs is just plain good, speeds you up substantially, and makes you quieter through all water. This is BIG. Gator Legs goes up in A, and only serves to improve your speed across the map.
I've used Dauntless once to good effect. Just once. And it happened recently. A fuse was cutting off vision, and therefore, one of our firing lines during a fight at Fort Carmick. I used Dauntless to defuse it, opening up a firing line for one of my two buddies, which gave me the cover I needed to get close enough for my shotgun. It only worked because of it being nighttime. My word Dauntless is so bad. Especially since your first reaction should always be to get away from explosives. Deadly every single one of em and they can be cooked.
For the rest of the perks, I'd stand by the decisions and reasons behind their placement. This is a solid tier list and has good reasoning. The rule I have with Hunt is to be as quick and as quiet as possible. The quicker you are, and the quieter you are, the more deadly you become. That's not saying take suppressed weaponry. I'm saying if the enemy doesn't hear you repositioning, then they are left open. A shotgun user can be baited into the knife if they don't hear it come out. The key to Hunt is getting quicker, without sacrificing your stealth. The S and A tier perks tend to reflect that. Speeding you up, or making you quieter. Quality tier list. I really hope they notice this, and take action to improving some traits. Some of them are so useless that them just existing hurts the rolls for Hunters and Legendary Hunters. Nothing feels worse than getting Bolt Seer, Dauntless, and Decoy supply on a Legendary Hunter. Pain incarnate.

Totally agree that some traits are such a joke that I'm wondering WTF Crytek is waiting to change them.
Gatorlegs is the first thing I get since nothing else is that good at only 2pts. Actually it's the only good trait followed by Whispersmith, then at 1pts Kiteskin or nothing.
Goul is overated in my opinion.

    • @skellslayer
      @skellslayer 3 роки тому

I hate to crush the dauntless dream, but I'm almost certain you can shoot fusees to turn them off, so that use of dauntless could have been replaced with the cost of a bullet.

I think the utility of Decoy Supply is a bit more than just "you get your decoys back if you've run out." In a situation where you're down two decoys, two first aid uses, and two consumables, and you come to a toolbox, the last thing you're wanting to pick up is decoys. Decoy Supply means you can grab decoys from an ammo crate, which frees up the valuable toolbox use for something much more important!

100% agree that Lightfoot is absolutely wicked. Minor stalemates in gunfights, where people are crouch walking around building, looking for slow sneaky flanks.
The vault, to sneakily third party and enter compounds is so helpful (at least when you dont rush) and after using lightfoot alot, you REALLY notice how loud ladders are.
ladder flanks become Risky God Tier options and getaways

Something I never saw mentioned in videos or comments is that you can actually use the full "Adrelanine Shot" sometimes after the 2nd clue or once you pickup the bounty and leave the compound, and that way it will save you 7pts of traits from not having to pickup "Greyhound + Determination".
Sure it's just 10min but usually you will have enough with it as most of gunfights will be over by then and it doesn't take that long to extract too so unless there is some major camping, most match don't last 30min+. It is also extremely useful if you have a main melee weapon and want to cut through PVE faster to travel around more easily and even better if u have "Silent Killer" too. Sure grunts still make noise from the trigger and death but still quieter than doing a highly distinctive melee which easily reveals your position.

Honestly necromancer might be my favourite perk. It adds great layers to combat and is super fun when it works in a play.
Also I’d argue dauntless isn’t useless as you can reliably defuse enemy choke bombs when they try to put out their partner which can be almost a game changer. That move has won me many fights

I have been getting alot of use out of Necromancer and Serpent. Serpent is pretty self explanatory. Great for avoiding ambushes, stealing bounties and also locating targets once the bounty is found. Necromancer though has been great for a few reasons.
    1. Alot of times other players don't guard bodies and instead flame them if they feel the need. This makes it easy for me to revive my team mate from safety as we often travel spread out with one of us going loud as the other sneaks in closer using the sound as cover.
    2. Even if they flame the body I can still revive my team mate. They aren't on fire when they get up and if need be I can whip a choke bomb at his corpse which also alerts me to campers by his body.
    3. It doesn't even take half of a bar so it is a low cost high reward solution for my problems in most cases.
    4. I have revived my team mate directly behind the enemy and he shot them in the back at point blank which was hilarious. XD
It has its ups and downs. While not essential I like to have it for my sort of scout/support builds along with Serpent. (Although Serpent has been getting into all of my builds over time)
I almost forgot, what are your hopes for the next update? :)

I'm really surprised that You rated ghoul perk soo low. If You considered it healing option You are right it is pretty bad, but I like to think about it more like packmule or frontiersman. It allows You to save a lot of time on searching for medkits. It is specifically useful for hunters with small health bar firs or for newer players that get hurt by ai more often. I can completely ignore looking for meds on compound because I know that I'll be able to heal myself easily on the way to next one. It is good time and resources saving perk imo.

But it's not an easy trait to use i give you that. Nice to see that you like whispersmith too! I really like to take it a lot. Specially if use loadouts where I am close to my enemy... and well... cause of my playstyle im often close to my enemy.

I would like to make a point for Decoy Supply. It can resupply Decoy Fuses as well, not just Decoys and Blankfire Decoys. So that could potentially allow you to use Decoy Fuses a LOT more. With this in mind, I'd personally bump it at least into C tier, or maybe even higher, if we're talking about specific loadouts.

Hundred hands but anyways for Levering and Fanning their viability rests in the guns you run with them. A large Winnie can be just as accurate 30m out with hip fire as ads but you typically would use it to instead get wall bangs or punish Melee/shotty push. Fanning has the same applications and on chain/conversion does relatively well at head shooting 15-20 meters out.

Conduit is a decent passive buff to have if you remember that you have it. Personally it’s a B tier because it saves a lot of time and risk scrounging for medkits, especially in or just after fights over clues, or just the little stamina boost to get to the next destination faster.

  • @Fongletto

Packmule's value increases the better you are. Combos perfectly with doctor and pitcher. As long as you're getting kills it doesn't matter how many squads come at you, you'll never get worn down with lack of meds, tools or consumables. It's an absolute S tier if you plan to run the gauntlet/server wipe every game.

For me personally I only mind 1 thing. Greyhound beeing put above Gatorlegs.
Greyhound allows you to sprint longer. Simply take a stamina boost and sprint forever. I dont know if its worth beeing put so high.
Gator legs on the other hand gives you more options overall. Sneaking up by the reduced sound. Or crossing a river before the enemys react duo to that high movement.
Its just so mutch more versatile ingame.
Edit: You dont even die when walking of Ford without Kiteskin.

I am new to the Hunt Showdown community and this is going to help tremendously! Thank you! I did have one question (and it may be a stupid one) but when queueing into Bounty Hunt the maps and time of day is random? Is there a way to manually choose this?

    • @4FSGaming
      @4FSGaming  3 роки тому

So the default is random map/time of day/boss type, but some regions that have higher playerbases allow you so select specific contracts with set map/time of day/boss type, and these will rotate around.
However I never, ever recommend choosing this option (unless you plan to farm), because they are hardly ever picked so you'll just find empty boring matches.

It might be because trios are more chaotic but I have seen Necromancer lead to winning matches many times this week alone. To me it is one of the best perks in the game. If not the best, then at least one of the most fun to use (or fun to have teammates use it on you). It can completely change a fight within only a few seconds.
It is also easily countered, if the situation is right. You can of course camp the body and kill them again, but you can also use concertina traps or bombs on them. So that's why it's probably not S tier. But to me it is A tier at least.

  • @saliwarrior3054
    @saliwarrior3054 3 роки тому

Necromancer was actually very handy for this one situation I had.
I was 1V3. Both my teammates died and I was able to clutch the fight. Taken two hunters down with my double legendary caldwell conversion in Larson's train station. I think the third hunter panicked and threw a choke bomb on his teammates body. So i took the opportunity and went upstairs to revive him through the wall. cuz he was outside and I needed to revive him before the hunter revived his teammates. Then I went to finish him off.

The only thing I'd disagree with is Necro.
    In duos Necro is...okay.
But in Trios? In trios it feels like a godsend.
It's easy for an enemy team to camp one body. It's easier to 1v2 an enemy team.
But in trios if you have two teammates go down, reviving one is almost always doable. It feels, I wouldn't say "essential", but I'd personally put it in S tier for trios. It has turned many a hopeless, early fight lost team fight into a win for me.
