I've watched UA-cam channels based around watches for well over 10 years and this is one of the most dynamic videos point blank period. I'm prior service and an author of a small UA-cam channel, so there's a number of elements that caused a series of emotions during this video. I've watched a number of your videos up to this point and this one ranks #1. You are very well spoken, passionate about horology, a cool dad and display a vibe that makes absorbing horological content worth while. I salute you for serving, and I appreciate the image you uphold on social media. Many blessings to you, you're family and your unit!
You have no idea how much this comment means to me. As you know making video can be both an intimidating and lonely world where your not always sure if your doing a good job or not. Your comment is the kind I will go back to over and over again when I get discouraged along this journey. Thank you so much and it truly means the world to me. God bless you, Tyree 🫡🙌🏾
I really appreciate your content and approach when discussing watches. Your sincere and historical prospective on watches is very refreshing and goes beyond just talking about the specs. of a watch. I'm wishing you the best on your UA-cam journey and I know you'll be very successful!
Thanks so much for the kind words, appreciate you coming by 🙌🏾 And I’m very thankful to have you along with me on the journey as I try to figure out this UA-cam thing
To even be offered a custom Tudor Ranger is an impressive feat! I respect your decision for allowing another soldier to take your place, I'm sure he was grateful. You should definitely not pass any future opportunity to own one. I'm in the Air Force and I picked up a steel Marathon Navigator with the AF symbol on the dial this year. The original Navigator was produced at the request of the USAF in 1986 for pilots at Kelly Field in San Antonio. Considering I was born that year and I'm currently stationed in San Antonio, it has a bit of a connection to my life. That's about as close as I'll ever get to owning any custom mil-spec watch lol
That’s a great piece of history you have there, a watch that connects with your life story is pretty special. Also I hear San Antonio is a pretty awesome place to be stationed
Holy crap thanks for your service man! Rangers are badass. Didn’t know this about your life. Your watch channel is off to a great start. Proud to have found this channel early on, you’re going places man!
Thank you for sharing. Tudor has an amazing lineage and has been a part of military culture for many years. We also had problems trying to customize a Tudor. I absolutely understand though. With watches of espionage raising awareness of unit watches they are receiving a lot of requests. We ended up going with Breitling who were very accommodating allowing both dial and caseback customization as well as flexibility in the model we selected. For a more inexpensive model look at stirling watch company. Started by British Para they are military watches and stirling is more than willing to customize dial and case back. We did a stirling run and they are solid!
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MAMACOO, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
You’re a rather impressive young man with a very eloquent and sincere way of expressing yourself and I like that . Seems like you have a great balance in your family life too ,so having a great hobby like this will only serve as a cement - my wife and both ,by now grown up daughters, are watch lovers and all three have small collections of their own ,which undoubtedly is the result of my “annoying habit “😂 .
I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the kind words! 🙌🏾 I have loved getting my daughters into the hobby and can't wait to share watch stories with them as they grow older, and its fun to feature them on in videos when I can. I'm hoping to get my youngest more involved soon but as a 3 year old she doesn't follow a script very well XD
Great content. Very interesting how that sort of watch gets produced. I’ve owned a Ranger and loved it. You should definitely get one next time. Great respect for your service from a British viewer.👍
As a retired NCO, that was a good thing you did for the Sargent in your unit, Sir. I hope you eventually get the watch with the customization that brings you joy. Also, I thought I was the only one that did multiple watch swaps per day. Life was easier when I only had one watch... but not as much fun.😊
It was the least I could do for my soldiers, but as for multiple watch swaps - you’re not alone! 🙌 on the weekends I’m the worst. I’ve hit double digits 😜 🤪 😝
YOU CAN TELL AN AIRBORNE RANGER BY HIS WATCH! BY HIS WATCH!! 2x. CUZ ITS SHINY AS BRASS AND ITS ALWAYS SLAPPIN ASS! YOU CAN TELL AN AIRBORNE RANGER BY HIS WATCH! GLORIOUS! VICTORIOUS!! (Sorry I just made this up LOL--AWESOME VID BRO!!)
This was great man, I loved learning about the Rangers! As for the watch, I've personally wanted the Ranger for years. I love the simplicity of it and it just looks like a tool that works and works and works 💪 Also this is why you're bald 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been wanting it for years myself, but I also love how much of a tool watch it is. Oh and Hank enjoyed the shout out and texted me right after the video came out 😆 👨🦲
I’ll just add it’s crazy the US Gov doesn’t buy every special forces unit a watch. If salespeople get give Rolex’s least we can do is buy our operators nice time pieces.
Love the video. Did you get your grail watch. Shame Tudor got snotty about being non-European military. That’s nuts. They have forgotten history?! It is my favourite Tudor though.
So I’m currently working on getting the S2 since the website is sold out, but Tudor also has responded to some messages from other rangers and there is a chance the custom dial will be coming soon so I might get one of those instead or as well. Just depends on the cost 💲
This is a wonderful video, I enjoy your discussion about the Ranger regiment more than the watch. British SAS and SBS have a history with Omega Seamaster. Marine Nationale has ties with Tudor Pelagos. Navy Seals wear Rolex. Rangers deserve a more capable watch to represent them than Tudor's second tier offering because you lead the way 💪
I think you have to also look at the age and rank of our members. We are typically younger and lower ranks so to expect a young ranger to couch up Rolex money is a tough sell especially when they aren’t watch nerds like us

Love your channel with so many stellar watches! For me the MAMACOO’ watch is my favorite. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.
Which one is that?

That’s amazing, did the watches arrive?!?
@@WristUnwoundunfortunately, this is a bot comment
I sometimes interact with the bots for the ole YT algorithm. I think I'm going to start dropping dad jokes on all of the bot comments

Appreciate it 🫡🫡🫡

I’ll do my best to keep them coming my goal is 2 a week but we’ll see. Make sure to hit the bell icon and you’ll get a notification when new ones drip
This video is amazing. Thank you for the education! Super informative.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Former good video. Glad to see a fellow Ranger who loves watches as much as I do. I didn’t even know this was a thing. Now I want one.
Thanks so much 🫡
If your really interested let me know we are in the process of getting a second order together now deposits will be due JAN/FEB

Thanks so much! I’ll try to keep up the quality and I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos and most importantly BEAT NAVY!

I imagine the old schools one had a few more words than the ones we have now too 😆
Excellent wholesome video! I'm surprised Rangers don't have to protect their identities being SOF? Aus army is pretty strict on this sorta stuff.
We have to protect some things but if I roll you those I’d have to… you know..

All great points and disappointing response from Tudor. I agree with not purchasing it.
And thank you for your service.
Thank you so much for the kind words and the privilege has been all mine. I appreciate the support🫡
Great video. Thanks, for the background story of the Rangers.
Thank you for being here and taking time to watch it!
