  • 2022 Camaro SS 1LE - Gridlife 16-17 Aug 2024 Lime Rock Park
    No engine modifications, stock exhaust, and stock power.
    315/30/18 Square A052 Tires, Hawk 60 F/R brake pads, SRF Brake Fluid, DSSV Suspension, -3.1 - 1/32 F, -2.4 R + 1/32 R, SPL Semi Trailing Arms, SPL Upper arm Rear, BMR toe rod, 18x11 Apex Wheels.
    P3 this time around, lap was ok but lots of front end push. Last 2 turns are not good at all. Probably left at least another .3 tenths out there. Car could probably benefit from some more camber up front here.

    The beginning of this video is the definition of looking ahead to where you want to go. Nice catch

    need a smidge more sidewall, i road race, hard, i love those crappy roads that are no where near level or smooth for that matter, i think a lil more sidewall, probably 45-50mm would do wonders as far as understeer goes, just my humble opinion, worth a shot, i plan on trying to smush 305 50 18s in my car, just for reference i can take a 80ish degree turn with maybe 4% bank at 70 mph and it just start to understeer best of luck bud

      Thanks, maybe I just had the pressures a bit too low but I think the tires just need to be in the perfect temperature range to work well at west bend.

    She's actually good to 7k with kooks lth and a calibration, no other mods. If she's totally stock (meaning no calibration and all of the nannies that come with like spark/ torque /shift truncation whereby your spark goes atc rather than btc in between shifts, rpm hysterisis and torque management raining on your parade) let me offer the path to not being told what you're allowed to have...even if totally stock, she'll treat you differently...I promise. Data logs of what is genuinely happening are almost as enlightening as what happens when it isn't. I've just watched a couple of your videos and you drive well, I just feel like if rpm worked FOR you rather than against you, she'd be happy in dfco to carry the load rather than having to shift. Nice laps.

      No issues at all, just oil changes, brake flush, rotor changes, pad changes, diff fluid, trans fluid for almost 3 years now. About 10k track miles.

      @@SpyderRacing that's great to hear. how often are you changing trans fluid/diff fluid? Also have a 1LE.

    • @SpyderRacing
      @SpyderRacing  24 дні тому

      @@klidijosifi7401 I am following the manual. It's 15 hours for the transmission and 24 for the diff. Trans fluid always comes out really clean so it's probably fine to do 24 hours for both. I think the oil is the most important. Brake fluid I'm only doing about twice per year (castrol SRF)

    I should add that I'm not trying to sell you anything...been a drag racer for years until Bobby one of my techs who is an instructor got me to take my ats-v to Summit Point...I still like to drag race but... I wish I had been doing this years ago. Just an offer to a fellow racer...F-1 addict and total nerd but...I LOVE data..and I love what it brings to the table. I sit next to the dyno I'll be running on and...also VVT is robbing you at lightcruise transition to WOT...its a God-send really.

      @southernstablesauto thanks, I'm not sure I understand everything you're saying as some of the acronyms are not familiar to me. I'm going to revert the car back to stock at the end of this year(and sell it) and go with a more track focused setup. Not sure exactly what yet.

      @@SpyderRacing More track-focused?? She's a 1LE ...all theexpensive parts are already there....and don't let her hear you talking about her either....she has crazy-eye syndrome like most of the other girls who are fun to party with and you don't want a "rabbit in the pot" Glen Close moment where she knows yo're gonna dith her. Just sayin, sometimes we're surrounded by everything we need and we just don't see it for what it is. She seems plenty fast to me, now just smooth the rough edges:)

    Just got one of these. Wondering if there is anything other than bushings/change suspension you’d recommend to amp up the handling while staying on a normal tire or does the 1LE already have everything you can do to a Camaro. Thanks.

    • @SpyderRacing
      @SpyderRacing  8 днів тому +1

      I wouldn't even recommend changing suspension, the stock suspension is great for the track, especially on street tires.
      The only thing I recommend doing to start off is getting a track alignment with max negative camber up front you can get. Get castrol SRF brake fluid and you can even use stock brake pads to start off but then I would upgrade to DTC60 for the track.

      @@griffinreid3627 the 1LE comes with "MRC" Magnetic ride control, so you can set the suspension softer(road use) or stiffer(track). Lots of information on the camaro6 forums. The difference from an SS to a 1LE are the suspension, wrapped hood, NPP exhaust, Lip aero in the back, brembo 6piston brakes/larger rotors, larger tires/wheels.

      @@SpyderRacing so for the 1LE you don’t recommend really any other parts to help it corner better. Just tired and more aggressive stance. I still want to daily drive it that’s why I haven’t made the stance change. Don’t want to shred tires.
