Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.
Stop the madness, stop the war and listen to Led Zeppelin ☮️
There will Never be another Led Zeppelin, The Best Band ever to walk God's green Earth PERIOD!! Their Music Will Live Forever!!
STILL my favorite group of ALL-TIME!
Thank our lucky stars...the SONG does remain the same.
Kinda makes me proud to be European.
No it doesn't. They changed it to God Save the King.
This same song will always remain
@@the2ndcoming135makes my proud to still be alive. .
Why would you be thankful for this disaster of a Species??
Probably the best Led Zeppelin song ever! Brilliantly composed.
The live version is even better. Testament to each member's unique and immense talent.
The drums on the opening on “listen to this eddie” 🤯
The rich liquidity of the guitar sound, with that rhythm section still raises the hair on my arms…50 years later.
Choice.
One of my fav Zep tunes. I love Bonzos snare solo. It’s all about the emotion and feel.
A perfect song..everything is in sync..the drums, the layer of guitars, the bass, Plants vocals are powerful and dreamy at the same time. LED Zeppelin is an inmortal band and Jimmy Page is a producer and arranger on a league of it's own.
I wanna be a pink m&m
Beatles, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin are the Big Three of Rock N Roll ☮️
A few people wanted to be The Stones. EVERYBODY wanted to be The Beatles and Led Zeppelin
Throw in The Who and Floyd if you do " Top 5 ".
Rush? In terms of skill, Rush is one of the big three with Zep and the Beatles.
Jimi Hendrix Experience also
I was going for top 5.
That's 6.
Next will be 10...
Then 100...
Then the original topic is gone of this thread.
The 70s was the best decade for rocknroll
Things were real back in the day
Thanks so much to whoever is running this channel
I am 62 yrs. old, heard this as a high school teen, still sounds just as awesome as the first time.
The Song Remains the same ;)
@@AwesomeGuy237 Nice ;)
There are persons bragging school shooter at Wisconsin school. Marcy and Larry lewis of Dover and Wendy Lyons of boulder homeless shelter wanted this yesterday. See dog cult internet yesterday.
Entity time travel at its greatest time stops for no one his is to Infinity and beyond
I am 62 yrs. old too. Attended the Led Zeppelin Concert at a Capitol Centre Area when I was still 15 years old. I believe 3 shows that sold out in 4 hours. a little bit of a story of how I was able to get a ticket, get there, and back. I have been lucky to see many great bands perform since. I can easily say that nothing ever ever came close to this one. Bonham! even without his what seemed like 40-minute solo. No warm-up band...The song remains the same was their opener. Kennedy Center Honors was a well-deserved tribute.
The best interaction between JP and JPJ in guitar dual from all of their songs! The sound so clear and fresh, and that bass!
Man,,.....JPJ is fucking Good.......................The heart & Soul of Zep
And Bonham, following JP
Got to see them when i was still 15 yrs old. Bonham since with all of them, even Robert Plant. it's why they sounded so off when Phil Colins tried to play drums with them at one of the two reunions. the other reunion was with his son who got it right. Bonham created the music or new songs. that's why he couldn't be replaced ( my opinion).
synched
Probably my favorite Led Zeppelin song of all time. The density of guitar parts is incredible, almost like shoegaze before shoegaze
Add the layers also of the guitar parts of Page with the interplay of Bohnam and if the listener has good music ears it's fascinating. They had a connection that few perhaps no band have ever had. For good reason they disbanded after Bonzos tragedy in 1980, no one can play their songs like him.
Bonham is superb here.
I luuuv song remains.ive lost count of the amount of times I've seen it..awesome
Simply the best rock band ever!!!
My favorite Led Zeppelin song.
…maybe mine too. Sure have played it a lot over the years. Such high energy
By far and away, one of my favourite Led Zeppelin songs, not even close!! What a way to open an album!!
The best. John Paul's Jones bass line is incredible!.
Hi I Recommend a song that's called 'the bond Villain' by Robert Nix
Musical thunder, that's what Zep is to me,no other band has that energy, when I am low on energy or mood Zep lift me up.
This is the song that inspired me to learn and play bass
You,Too?
Actually,it was the old blues song ,when the levee breaks, that inspired me to pick up the bass.Done, excentally by Zep.
Best Band of all Time,
LED ZEPPELIN FOREVER! LONG LIVE LED ZEPPELIN!
Led Zeppelin is not pain...is a gain!
I’m Kaycee’s cousin. The one who blew our mind with a joint listening Led Zeppelin just after I got the tape. I knew my cousin would flip out on it because he was and still is a big music lover.
And I am forever grateful to you, my dear cousin, for that moment that changed, in the most dramatic of ways, my experience of rock music. It pleases me that you, a musician who I admired and followed in those days of your band covering The Beatles like no other, would pick me to share such a monumental moment in my musical appreciation journey. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
We were here where The Song Remains the Same was filmed. It was the summer of 1973 @ Madison Square Garden, NYC.
You can see my sister in the audience. She the 16 y/o girl up on some guys shoulders rockin' out.
That's sooo kool..I've watched it so many times.i know who you mean lol x
@@angiefletcher5032
A friend had an 8x10 photo of my sister there framed for her. She only found out she was in the movie yrs.later when her boyfriend was watching it and yelled to her in the next room: 'Karen! You're in this Led Zeppelin movie. Lol😂
I remember being there with her. She was wearing a black leotard with a silver belt. Somehow we got separated. I ended up in Atlantic City, NJ and got home 2 days later.
Zeppelin will always be the best
Only to be rivalled by The Beatles and Pink Floyd
Always
Pink Floyd is good but the Beatles nah
@@villainousappetite8841 They are one of the good ones but Zeppelin is an will always be the best to ever do it... Hands down the greatest band of allll time
RUSH.
;)
In my opinion, this and Achilles Last Stand are 2 of Jimmy's best works.
These 2 and Tea for One
Kashmir and ten years gone?
Agreed that Achilles Last Stand & Song Remains the Same are in my definite Top Ten, ( and Top Five as well) so I’d include:
Since I’ve Been Loving You; Kashmir; Custard Pie; Rain Song; Tea For One; Over The Hills And Far Away; Ten Years Gone; Stairway To Heaven. I’m 65 years old and what are your Top Five or Top Ten Zep songs?
allright what are you thinking about "since i have benn loving you
So many brilliant magnificent songs…
LED Zeppelin….the group that changed rock forever. My cousin came by to pick me up in his car back when this iconic group first broke out with their first album. I had up until this point never heard of them. He had put a powerful sound system in his car and asked me to put my seat back and had me smoke a J. He then put in his 8 track, the first song was Dazed and Confused. Well I was transported out of my reality to a place that was so new and powerful that I was instantly struck by lightning, so to speak, and song after song went by and I was happy to be in that emotional realm of rock music bliss. I saw them live in Montreal. Incredible then and if they had the modern arena sound systems of today they would have been even more impressive. I have been blessed to have lived in an era that produced the music that will never get old and remain as relevant today and tomorrow as they were 50 years ago. I doubt any of todays music will stand the test of time. A few of the great bands and singers I saw live were The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple etc.
I'm totally jello❤
Led Zeppelin got me through nursing school!!
That is an incredible list of talent!

The Song Remains The Same - Lyrics:
I had a dream
Oh, yeah
Crazy dream, uh-huh
Anything I wanted to know
Any place I needed to go
Hear my song
Yeah, people don't you listen now?
Sing along
Oh
You don't know what you're missing, now
Any little song that you know
Everything that's small has to grow
And it's gonna grow, push push, yeah
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, California sunlight
Sweet Calcutta rain
Honolulu starbright
The song remains the same
Ooh, ooh, oh, oh
Here we go, here we go
All you gotta do, now
All you gotta do, now
Ooh-ee
Sing out Hare-Hare
Ooh, dance the Hoochie-Koo
City lights are oh so bright, as we go sliding, sliding
Sliding, sliding, sliding, sliding, sliding, sliding
Oh
the lyrics are so simple but they just fit so fine. when I was a kid I didn't know the words, turns out I was vibing all right, this song is just about the good music vibe and I was doin it all right.
what an atmosphere this song has! it just makes you energetic
I love this story about the song. You're right. It's happiness in your ears!
I feel like I picked up on soul and subtleties much more when I was a kid
My God this song is incredible, thank you zep, page your guitar work is otherworldly. And the truth is the song remains the same after all this time. Amazing soundscape zep, thank you!
The best of ROCK!!!
Two words to any Rock Band today since the day this song came out...
"TOP THAT".
They were 4 great musicians who could do anything they wanted to and this song is an amazing example of their craftsmanship. Love the bass work of John Paul Jones on this particular song.
Achilles Last Stand, The song Remain the same. Are my two favorites Zeppelin songs.
A very powerful and intense track, with so much energy. Cheers! ✌️
Absolutely, Zeppelin best
Masterpiece
What an incredible riff 🤘🎸🤘

O PODEROSO ZEPPELIN!
Led Zeppelin blows away everyone else in rock and roll...
Just listen to JPJ's bass line!! Absolutely fantastic! Mind bogglingly good!
Greatest rock band ever full stop.

Love this song!!
I discovered Zeppelin during a period in school when I was being bullied badly. Their music got me through some very tough times. Thank you
Sooo sry😢i was bullied too
Thru out marriages and insane times of the heart, the song remains the same....
Explosion de joie j adore ce groupe 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The country western influence is undeniable.
Led Zeppelin is the only band on earth that’s made such a layered sound like this. Led Zeppelin’s sound is untouchable, and that will always remain the same.
I very love progressive rock and this song. And my favourite group is Yes.
This song always gave off Rush vibes so much, 2 different bands of course but 2 of the best bands. I just love this tune it reminds me so much of Rushes fast paced melodic songs
LED Zeppelin adrenalina pura, o melhor dos melhores, 🎸❤️🎸👈🤘🇧🇷
Meuy Bueno!!
This album made me a zeppelin fan
I heard this song for the first time when I was around 16. I'm 54 now, and still rocking out to this classic.
Same. Discovered zeppelin in the 90s as a teenager
💥Thank you for best music in the world !!
Hi I Recommend a song that's called 'the bond Villain' by Robert Nix
The best band ever. EVER
Great song, those openings in the concerts on the 77' tour, Jimmy with the double neck and shades coming in hot
Danny Wendt guitar 🎸 genius always told me Zep is best. A truth…
The god Led Zeppelin 🤟🏼😎.
If you took some heavy Cream, mixed it with the inventiveness and the colorful palette of the Beatles, the bristling energy of the Rolling Stones and the Who, stirred with the bluesiness of Jimi Hendrix, a drop of Pink Floyd and a generous portion of the psychedelic folk elements of Yes, then decant them all into a cup of pure rock and roll, this would be Led Zep for me.
Not sure what they nailed but they nailed it
This is the best band rock of all time
Без комментарий!!!Классика есть классика! Наслаждаюсь , и все!.
still love this ❤
This song is so f'n fun to play on drums.
Led Zeppelin…
Droning on a single open D string of a 12 string (doubled, so two strings) for that intro.
So simple, yet effective. Has me energetic every time I hear it.
This song gets me going like my first cup of high quality coffee in the morning. Actually...this song is more intense than coffee. It's more like a 16 ounce can of an energy drink...
I've been listening to Zeppelin for 46 years...since I was 11
The 🐐
I’ve been trying to find this song for like 10 years. I’m so happy
❤ Led Zeppelin ❤🎵😄🤟!!!
great band, great song and great musicians 😊❤
Hi I Recommend a song that's called 'the bond Villain' by Robert Nix
This is one tune you can NEVER play loud enough
So true.
Powerful, subtle, delicate, relentless, overwhelming, beautiful……
They were the best!
Bring it on home
Originally to be called "The Campaign", this song opens their Fifth Album charging like a runaway locomotive and never lets up til Robert's vocal fade. This was Hard Rock at it's finest and no other band delivered anything like Led Zeppelin. This song stunned me in '73 cause I could not believe it was so good coming on the heels of '71's Stairway from the Fourth Album. Then of course, when Kashmir hit off the mighty Sixth Album, I think that sealed the deal for Hard Rock's Greatest Album. The Song Remains The Same, Kashmir and Achilles Last Stand are in my opinion, Jimmy's finest.
In my time of dying to me is Jimmys masterpiece
Led zeppelin es una de las mejores bandas del mundo a Jonesy no le deberían subestimar los quiero tanto son muy grandiosos uff... Que gran canción es está
Absolutely correct Jonesy is a master at what he does
Great song and amazing band !
Time and time again Led Zeppelin produces a blockbuster album of a continuous evolution of rock and roll. I hope now with album chart in the hot 100 along with Zep1-4. Can these majestic weavers of song and harmony keep it going. More at 11…
Legends ❤
I remember seeing The Song remains the Same movie at the Stanley theater in Pittsburgh Pa in 1982! I was totally blown away! I still am .This music never fades away ..The Song remains the Same!
I saw it in S.I., NY in 1976 at the Hylan Cinema. With a few friends...the movie theater was full of pot smoke....great memories
@@jdenino6022 That was an experience I will never forget . The soundtrack is so awesome the music just rumbled in your chest .Id love to see it again in a big theater with today’s sound quality.Glad to hear you had a memorable time too .Rock on my friend! 🫶❤️🔥🙋♀️🇺🇸💃
THIS is the song that made me a Zeppelin fan vs a Zeppelin appreciator
1977...Zeppelin opened with this at Madison Square Garden. Heaven for my ears. Which are still ringing from Kashmir!
guitar lyric wise this track represents led zeppelins spiracular adventure
I've been a fan since I first heard them when I was 12! My older cousing turned me on to them!
This used to be one of my least favorite zeppelin albums but today I got a copy in the mail which I had ordered a few days ago. First time hearing it in at least 20 year and it sounded great I don't know what I thinking all those years ago because it had aged beautifully
Love this track ❤😘
I always thought this song nailed what the essence of freedom is
Come on board
And always will ❤
Great album opener 🤘🧔♂️
The music today can not beat this and I’m a kid
