Rotherham United Old Millmoor versus the New York stadium tour of a proper football ground.

Its a real shame the new main stand was never completed. As a Sheffield Wednesday supported I liked this ground, loved the Derby matches and also the three European cup matches Wednesday played there. I have also done a video of the New York stadium from the outside.

Yep Tim I remember coming out of the railway end it was a bit tight to say the least! I see what you mean about building the stand where the car park is then moving everything across it would have worked but would have cost too much i think. At that time a lot of investment was needed but like you said Boothy was a bit tempremental so was never gonna happen .The stand only got to that stage because of crowd funding if I remember rightly , shame really a lot of history there PS should they not be called the Millers now they don't play at Millmoor ? (think Sunderland) just a thought🤔

Why would you spend so much money on a stand without a decent landlord Jon, none of it was ever thought out. At the time they could have got the crowds in the main stand and should have moved it across. I thin Boothy wanted certain entertainment expenses from the club, which finished things off. You should see the house of one of his sons at Lindrick. If Wednesday leave Hillsborough can we go back to our real name the Cutlers, a bit more classy than the Blades. Best Tim

Didn't they have a dispute with the Owner of the ground where they were charging too much or summert?
I know they moved to don valley for a while
I heard after Rotherham moved out they hosted some amateur and under 21 games
Shame it seems to be just rotting

Why build a new stand knowing the landowner Boothy wasn't to be trusted. I think it was something to do with the getting something out of the club on match day.
