Thanks for that. I was there two days ago for a walk. There is an outside viewing area at the airport with a picnic bench. I sat there and watched the aircraft coming in and taking off. Thorpe Salvin is a lovely village.
intresting watch thanks fella. if you had gone in to the airfield they invite the public in to watch the planes take off also there's a cafe around the back where you can sit ..
There's another place I know with aircraft - Cotswold Airport near Tetbury in Gloucestershire. They've got both preserved large aircraft and small aircraft and it's still in use. (Spoiler - I have family down there). Got to say though nice to see this one.
Really enjoy watching your videos mate 💯 At the end of last year I decided to visit some areas of Rotherham and give opinions on some of the villages. I really enjoyed visiting Wickersley, Laughton, Dinnington and Woodsetts. They were some of my favourite areas across Rotherham
Thanks mate! I love them all too. Some good stuff to see in all 31. The funny thing is I'm not a Rotherham native. I moved here in 2013 after living in both Doncaster and Barnsley since 2009. I was born and bred in rural Lincolnshire, so I've learnt all these places from working in and around them really. Still learning as I go too!
Plus I love anything to do with air craft..especially old former air fields.
Thank you for video
Don't know if you've watched the Langford epsiode Penny, but in that one I visit an air museum.
Loads more airfields to come!
Andy that's the music I love that is playing now..

It certainly is! Love it, only ever been to it a handful of times. This was the most I'd ever walked around it

Ah, just answered question I asked on Shireoaks clip, wasn’t sure which one contained airfield
Thanks Andy, enjoyed that again.
Thank you 😁

You visited my parish, hope you liked the aerodrome
Oh and you can actually get onto the airfield, there is pathway through the fields you can go through!!!
Didn't know that at the time, loads of signs saying "keep out, private" etc, so thought I'd better stay on the road :D
Good one what village are you from
Rawmarsh is where I live, although if you mean where I grew up, that's in Lincolnshire
