Wyoming overall beats Montana for me. Montana is more beautiful, but Wyoming people are not as arrogant and more down to earth, in my experience, except for Jackson. Most of the residents there are from the east coast and they now think they are locals.

@@alishacollinsrealestate hello, I’m someone who currently lives in North Texas in Wichita Falls and I’m disgusted in recent years. I’ve set my mind to move this time next year to either rural Teton County Wyoming or Swan Valley/Seeley Lake in Montana, just southeast of Kalispell and South of Glacier National Park.
I’m utterly unable to decide. I realize that with the areas I’m looking at, I get better cost of living in Montana, it seems more close by coffee shops and restaurants but I’m worried about the place growing too big too soon, I really, truly don’t want to deal with that. I also rather the shear Beauty of the Tetons but I guess my concern is, I’m someone who enjoys little things in life, chilling at a coffee shop, camping out in the mountains and all that, exploring, not a care in the world. But I’m not fond of having to drive over an hour to get coffee or gas even. I mean.. where I’m looking at, the closest gas station nearby according to maps, is UP TO 50 minutes away depending on where I get a place. I drive a 1990’s Chevy suburban and refuse to give it up.
I guess I’m asking, do you believe it would be worth it in rural Teton county considering all that? Or not?
Also while I’m not very outward about it in person, and I can handle myself for the most part, I’m a gay male, I wonder if Wyoming would be too much worse about that than Montana? I don’t either would have many people cause any problem but I wonder if Wyoming is any worse and if a lot or not so much

I will add that in the political category that Wyoming is NOT in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. If you lean conservative this makes Wyoming far and above a better place to live. ☺

Geography is what makes Montana and Wyoming different places. Both states are very mountainous. Montana, however, has sort of an ironic name. Montana certainly has alot of high mountains, but 60% of Montana is part of the Great Plains (although it's name is Spanish for "mountain"). Wyoming is more mountainous and has certain features that aren't found in Montana.

@@alishacollinsrealestate You're welcome. For me it's about the details. Wyoming has the Red Desert, Jackson Hole, and the lions share of Yellowstone(part of it is in ID and MT). Montana has Glacier National Park, Pompey's Pillar, and Big Sky Resort.

Before I watch the video, I gotta say I LOVE both states, have enjoyed numerous road trips since being a teen and more recently a couple months ago. Have traveled nearly every corner to each state and everything in between. Beautiful landscape, stunning roads to travel, both are Red States, hence a major reason the states and the cities which make up both, are so clean, so tidy, people take such great pride in their properties. No trash in the road ditches or along the medians, I could go on and on. I witnessed road crews 150 miles in the middle of nowhere, mowing the grass in the median along the Interstate! They care how there state looks. Most of this just observed two months ago. I don’t see the arrogance a few described of Jackson, and I’ve been there a lot. Big Sky, Bozeman and Whitefish in Montana also rock, no arrogance there. Both have a plethora of outstanding towns to hangout, enjoy, maybe call home one day…. Kalispell, Missoula, Red Lodge, are as cool as Cody, Laramie and Sheridan. Both rock the greatest National Parks in the US… Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP, and Grand Teton NP…. Bear Tooth Pass… Going to the Sun road…. Paradise. But I have read over and over and over again, Wyoming is thee best state in the country to retire. Taxes, Inheritance, are major winning reasons as well as financially, Wyoming is likely the most secure/stable in the US. Those things matter. On to the video….

This is awesome and I’m leaning towards Wyoming but Montana doesn’t have mandates for healthcare workers and I need to be able to work in a hospital after 30 years of nursing. I’ve been practicing since 1991 but now I am suddenly not allowed to without a vaccine…

Unfortunately, too many Californians are moving to Cabo and trying to turn it into a rich people's San Francisco. Buffalo is a great area to live, work, or retire. In the foothills of the Big Horn mountains. Nice climate year around. Beautiful scenery and prairie hills. Buffalo has the largest outdoor swimming 🏊‍♂️pool in the states. Clear Creek flows through town. Hiking trails along Creek make for good trout fishing 🎣 Rich in history with a museum. Friendly people, and pretty ranches with lots of horses 🐎and cattle. Have a camera 📷with you at all times. Keep the memories ✨💕

Does Wyoming have community housing sub-divisions where families could live or are communities still scattered all over the place? The state looks bare and barren when driving thru Cheyenne and most part of the state, do you know if the state would plant more tall and leafy trees all over the state soon? Wyoming must invite community builders to come to the state -not just for retirees but for young families as well - who might enjoy the Wyoming living environment. God bless. sep2022.
