I'm 74 and live in the woods in Texas. Never had a cat. After my husband passed, I discovered 2 litters of kittens on my property. Had them all (12) vetted and spayed/neutered. 6 months later 2 more litters. I now feed and care for 25 cats. Not what I signed up for but what can I do? It is what it is. They are not feral now. I had a big catdominium built with a/c and heat because they live outdoors. I wouldn't take a million bucks for them now ❤
Thank you for all you have done for your cats. I know you know that you have to stay up to date on getting them fixed. I thought my seven cats was a lot. You have your hands full. Catdominium . I've never seen one. I'd like to see a picture.
I had a cat pick me once. He was a stray/feral I’d seen around my apartment complex for a couple months and he looked pretty scraggly. I was on my upstairs porch smoking a cigarette and I saw him drinking water out of a puddle in the rain, I made the kitty sound (meow) and called to him. He ran up the stairs and curled around my feet, I let him come inside and gave him my last two cans of tuna. That was it, he stayed inside all night, dried off, warmed up and slept the sleep of a warm, happy and well fed cat. I let him out in the morning thinking I might not see him again but a few hours later, he was back. After that day he stayed inside every night and would just meow at the door when he wanted to go out to pee/poop. I named him Meathead and he was my best little buddy, he’d sleep right next to my pillow at night and he gave me lots of love and made tons of biscuits. I miss him.
Beautiful story about a cat nobody wanted and found someone who showed him a better life than he was experiencing. I would take my kids when they were little to county shelter where we picked a cat who was red tagged to be put to sleep bc he was not a tiny kitten anymore. We choose him to save his life and he was so easy going. He was so loved and treasured all the days of his life and past his passing. Wouldn't change that decision. If you can going to save a unwanted or abandon cat/animal anywhere puts so much in your life. Not to mention their life too. I believe they come into our life and teach us so much and are Blessings. Good you were able to show so much love to a beautiful creature of GOD. ❤
💯. My cat used to groom me. My husband found it repulsive but it was an honor for me. Years later he found his soul mate in a raggedy bottle baby that we rescued. As an adult that kitten groomed my husband and suddenly he didn't think it was so gross anymore....😂
I lost my dog beau to mouth cancer he was 17 years old,I was absolutely devastated by his passing so my wife decided to adopt a cat her name is Hadora. She’s a Russian blue rescue cat and I can honestly say she has took so much pain away and now I have something to look after and she loves me as much as I love her. I never thought a cat could do that.
I moved to Lapine Oregon in 2019. I live off a logging road 5 miles from town. In a small cabin i built. People drive out here and dump cats, heartless Aholes. I got 6 of them now. Sara, Moma Kitty, Misty, White Sox, Racoonio, And Big Cat. They are lucky to have found my place. A few of them were hard to house break. One of them won't use the cat boxes. But everything is fine, they all get along. I believe they realize their lucky to have found a home. They are all good cats, some are more loving than others. Some turned into love bugs. They love being kissed and brushed. Not what i wanted my life to be at 63. But what can you do, nature called on me
I still have 2 of the cats from my time living at the end of a road in the woods. It's unusual for cats to refuse to use a litter box. Have you tried different types of litter, getting extra litter boxes, trying different spots, things like that? Thanks for loving the cats who need love the most

Thank you so much! The stray coming around my house has a clipped left ear. We’ve been feeding him/her and trying to get him/her to come in the house. I got a look this morning and saw the clipped left ear. Now I know the cat is fixed.
He must have been part of a colony. I wonder why he’s able to speak … meow . He must have been socialized at some point. I do know that some people when they have to move and find it inconvenient to take their pet with them .. instead of finding it a home think it’s fine to abandon it outside . Terribly cruel . @@krazyoldkatlady192 Just FYI, if there are other cats in your home, it's still important to get the cat tested for FIV even if they've been to a vet before, before letting them around other cats.
Awesome! I have an entire army of orphaned and abandoned cats. I'm a disabled infantry veteran and don't have anyone in my life or even any friends anymore. But it's alright because I have them instead and my raccoons I've been raising. They literally occupy every second of my time. I love them as if they were my kids. They are probably more human like than most cats because of it.
@ infantry vet 156th: SIR, first thank you for your service. Also thank you for loving and caring for all your fur babies. I'm old and all my friends are either dead or in other states. I was adopted by two feral kitties several years ago. They were extremely bonded to each other. Our big male who had a bobtail was really something. He quickly learned his name, sit stay, fetch and return, and many amazing things. His main thing in life was to look after my ailing wife 24/7. His running mate is a very petite little female orange cat. Suddenly/ sadly our big boy passed last February on presidents day. Me, my wife, and especially our little girl have never got over it. Our little girl immediately changed and will not have anything to do with anyone but my wife and me. She also hates any other animals. I'm happy our neighborhood has not had any feral or stray cats for a long time but. If one showed up we would take it in in a heartbeat.
I took in a stray female cat and her babies. She was about 3 years old and was born in this apartment block. She was always pretty bold and when I was gardening she would come up and climb in my lap. She had 3 lots of babies in her 3 years and I took her and the babies inside one cold night. I managed to rehome the babies and she never left. I had her spayed so no more babies and she is my best friend and wonderful companion. Take a stray. They will repay you in spades.
A little over 10 years ago, my wife found a stray kitten in front of her workplace in the bushes. He was hungry. She fed him and kept him at her office for the day. I never liked cats as I was scratched by one as a child and fearful of them. She called me from her office and asked if it was ok to bring him home. I said Ok, but if it doesn't work out, he has to go. That day she brought him home, he fell asleep in my arms upside down. Since then, he has been like a dog. He runs into my room each morning to hug me as I awake and he follows me around all day. About 5 years ago, he got sick. I was a mess. He recovered and I'm extremely grateful for the extra time. He's still going strong at age 11. I don't think I've ever connected with another sentient being like I have this guy. I love him with all my heart and soul. I know some day he will die. I'm profoundly saddened by the thought, but simultaneously blessed that life threw this amazing animal my way.
Being chosen by a cat is the best feeling. Our first cat picked me. He was a stray living on my parents’ porch, and the first time I met him he was so incredibly friendly, and trusting. So awesome! My Hobbes was the same way! Took over 3 months before he'd let me pet him. He ended up always waiting for me to come home from work to tell me about his day and roll over and demand belly rubs lol. Great job
That is beautiful. I have adopted 3 angels. Chose 2 adult cats vs kittens because the grown cats are usually looked over then put down. Wish people would realize those adorable babies are only babies for a very short time. I love mine so much.
It took me 10 years to convince one of mine to move in. He was a proper feral. Another one moved in after 3 days. I have never bought a cat in my life They have all been abandoned, lost, feral or defected. ❤❤❤
This was a lovely story which shows how patient and gentle you have to be when trying to tame a feral cat or kitten. I have had a feral cat living in my carriage house since early Spring. She could enter through a small cat door and sleep on hay I store in my horse stall. She gave birth to three kittens in March or April and I have been working on taming them with a friend who stops briefly every morning to feed my turkey and let him out to free range as it is getting hard for me to walk. We put out food and water for them in the carriage house and I also place food by my door. Two of the kittens now come when I call them.( The third is no longer here but may be staying with the mother cat at a nearby house whose owner puts out food and has a garage with a cat entry as well.) The bravest kitten, a male, will let us pet him and just a few days ago he stepped in my kitchen and even spent the night. I gave him a number of chances to go back out but he chose to stay until morning. My other indoor cats are not enthused at my adding another cat, but I'm giving giving them extra food and just bought them new toys. I hope that they will get used to him in time. Meanwhile I will keep trying to tame his younger sister who is still very timid so I can eventually spay and vaccinate them both. I don't think my vet would be willing to treat her if she is still very wild.
@ his left ear has no point. You’ll notice cats that have it. Feral cats get trapped and fixed and go back to their world with an easy way to identify them.

Cats prefer to choose , they know who is right for them. He realized he belongs with you and you with him !! So the bond was already made !! Thanks for your care and enjoy all a cat has to offer , even crazy at times 😂😂 !!
That's so lovely. My cat chose me about 5 years ago (he was a mistreatment case). Just turned up in the garden and kept coming back, determined that he'd found his new home. He's now spoiled - from starving and ill to only eating the best food. I've got used to the 3am facial biscuits 😂
Looks just like my cat that came home with me in my lunch box. It’s been 18 years since I got him after his mom died of car accident. Orange Tabbies are so sweet. 🥹
This was my cat Tom Tom, he started showing up one day when my nieces would feed him. One day he popped in between my legs opening the door and was like "this a nice place, I live here now. I require pets and foods immediately and you are my new hooman" I've never even been a cat person my entire life but him choosing me, that's my baby boy ❤
I had a feral cat pick our family. I had to trap her, because she was pregnant and injured. She was indoor/outdoor for the 9 wonderful years we had her. She disappeared one day two years ago. Please, even with outdoor cats that you find, keep them in. I wish I had. I miss her every day. 😭
Bless you! All of my cats came from my feral feeding stations, too. All they need is time. Some may never be lap cats, but I love them just as much. Also, animals always pick the person. You may say it is your pet, but the animal may differ. It is never our choice. 😂 My husbands dog is really my dog, and one of the cats that I brought home ditched me for my daughter.
What a wonderful man to make a home for this cat. Such wonderful people like this gentleman deserves the best things in life and I hope that good health, happiness, a loving family and good friends will always be this man’s constant companions along with this beautiful, no longer homeless but, I’m sure, now very happy and loved cat. Much respect.
Cinnabon is so handsome! May the Lord bless you richly for rescuing this adorable fur baby! This too is His work! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ And of course bless Cinnabon!
Cinnabon is the twin of a cat we had called Muffin. We had the exact same situation happen. Muffin was the most loving cat once she decided to join our family and we still think of her all the time even though she passed many years ago. We were then blessed with another cat, a black long haired beauty that decided she like our place better than her other home and they told us to keep her as they had a new baby on the way and were worried that the cat might not like the baby. Puss Puss was a very affectionate cat too whom we loved until she passed too. Now we have a rescue dog, life is so blessed with loving pets!
Thankyou for being patient with Cinnabon,,,he took his time because,,,,he was alone for along time,,,,once you shared food and drink for him you where giving him love and attention.... thankyou..😊
Wonderful you saved his life, after loss of several cats I built a large outdoor enclosed pen with a covered top and large built pole with different levels to scratch and climb, my cat preferred running free in the woods but after she suffered another injury I opted for carrying her to pen where she could safely watch the woods and all birds and smells of outdoors, wind, and she grew accustomed to it and less worries for me and my vet
Nothing feels better than gaining the trust of a frightened animal and giving them a happy life. I just adopted two kittens who were feral. It took them a bit of time but now they are firmly attached to my face.
Thanks for adopting this sweet boy! I've rescued 27, all from the streets, and they have a catio, a 20x20x6 foot catio they can go into if they need to be outside!
🤧 Aww he's so gorgeous, bless you for having the time and patience to help him get over his fear and come inside, to his terrific forever home. Cracking good video thanks for sharing 🖤😎👍
You've got a loving companion for life who'll never turn on you unconditional love and companionship. You are both richly blesses a great future for both of you!
I had a orange tabby just like him. One day he just showed up and adopted us. His name was Tigger and he would follow you like a dog all around the neighborhood which he also would stay and eat at other homes until one day he was gone. We thing someone from another neighborhood thought he was homeless and took him in. What a great cat he was!!!

The one you found fishing was it a catfish?
@@jacobreisser8034 good on you!!!❤️
I'm in Somerset too, in Yeovil. Thank you for helping so many cats. I love cats but only have the one, Conker.
So awesome! My Hobbes was the same way! Took over 3 months before he'd let me pet him. He ended up always waiting for me to come home from work to tell me about his day and roll over and demand belly rubs lol. Great job
He was so skinny. Thank you for giving him his forever home with you.❤❤❤ such a love bug now.
He picked you- exactly how I feel about it! I wasn't the hero who rescued the animal, I was the lucky person who was picked by an angel.
I agree 100% that these guys are angels!
That is beautiful. I have adopted 3 angels. Chose 2 adult cats vs kittens because the grown cats are usually looked over then put down. Wish people would realize those adorable babies are only babies for a very short time. I love mine so much.
God sends us His creatures to love & care for. They are His gifts. It is our privilege.
It took me 10 years to convince one of mine to move in. He was a proper feral. Another one moved in after 3 days. I have never bought a cat in my life They have all been abandoned, lost, feral or defected. ❤❤❤
sometimes they find us keep your eyes open and donate food to your local shelter
keep that beautiful orange boy safe inside with you. Enjoy the best friend you've ever had! ❤❤
You just found your best friend😊
Patience and consistency - those are keys with all animals, humans included. Well done, Alex - well done!
❤
May all cats find forever homes!
Amen! Adopt, don’t shop. Our shelters are full to the max right now.
His ear clip means he’s been neutered. Awesome cat. ❤
TNR is the best. And he won big...a handsome Ginger Boy
Yeah probably tnr rather than from a tended colony since he was so skinny when he showed up.
How on earth could you see a notch in his ear, I tried everything I could to see and I saw nothing
@ his left ear has no point. You’ll notice cats that have it. Feral cats get trapped and fixed and go back to their world with an easy way to identify them.
BEAUTIFUL STORY AND THANK YOU FOR BEING SO THOUGHTFUL.👍💪 IVE HAD CATS ALL OF MY LIFE AND IM 55. WE HAVE TAKEN IN MANY STRAY AND FERAL. JUST GIVING YOU A SHOUT OUT BROTHER 👍🙂
Cats prefer to choose , they know who is right for them. He realized he belongs with you and you with him !! So the bond was already made !! Thanks for your care and enjoy all a cat has to offer , even crazy at times 😂😂 !!
He chose you. Trust and love. You're a good man.😺
That's so lovely. My cat chose me about 5 years ago (he was a mistreatment case). Just turned up in the garden and kept coming back, determined that he'd found his new home. He's now spoiled - from starving and ill to only eating the best food. I've got used to the 3am facial biscuits 😂
Thank you for taking him in and giving him a home for life.
God bless you for saving, caring for & loving this beautiful soul 👍🙏❤️
Its special when a cat picks a human. Congratulations, thanks for being a good human.
The Cat distribution system is a wonderful God given gift that should be embraced and celebrated by all! 😊
Thank you Lex for taking care of Cinnabon! He's now your best friend ❤
Thank you for taking care of him, that is so very kind of you.
It's very kind of you to take care of cat that showed up in your yard. Sometimes things happen for a good reason. Now you have a best friend 🙏🏼🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Cinnabon!!! Our beautiful boy!!! Lex is a superhero.
Bless you! All of my cats came from my feral feeding stations, too. All they need is time. Some may never be lap cats, but I love them just as much. Also, animals always pick the person. You may say it is your pet, but the animal may differ. It is never our choice. 😂 My husbands dog is really my dog, and one of the cats that I brought home ditched me for my daughter.
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet kitty-cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a loving kind story! Heartwarming!❤❤❤
God bless you Sir 🙏
Sweet. Happy Tabby Thursday to everyone 😺
Cats know good people 🥰
Cinnabon is so handsome! May the Lord bless you richly for rescuing this adorable fur baby! This too is His work! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ And of course bless Cinnabon!
Nice job. You can see the condition of the cat improves so much very quickly after you took him in.
Oh he’s so beautiful and so lucky he found you.
And Cinnabon best name ever for this cat
Cinnabon is the twin of a cat we had called Muffin. We had the exact same situation happen. Muffin was the most loving cat once she decided to join our family and we still think of her all the time even though she passed many years ago.
We were then blessed with another cat, a black long haired beauty that decided she like our place better than her other home and they told us to keep her as they had a new baby on the way and were worried that the cat might not like the baby. Puss Puss was a very affectionate cat too whom we loved until she passed too.
Now we have a rescue dog, life is so blessed with loving pets!
He's absolutely gorgeous, I adore ginger cats. Thankyou for giving him such a lovely home.
all it takes is time, patience and love. Feed him good quality food.
That's a good guy right there!
That was really kind of you. I have a little kitty now for the first time and I live alone. He’s the best company ever.
How great is that Cinnabon has a wonderful daddy Bless you for the love and kindness you give Cinnabon💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
One step at a time.
Ooh! He was skinny as a stray. He’s got the most wonderful home now. ❤️🐱❤️
Good people still exist...
It is obvious the cat had a home at one time. Thank you for rescuing Cinnabon
Che bel micione è diventato!❤,🇮🇹
Nothing feels better than gaining the trust of a frightened animal and giving them a happy life. I just adopted two kittens who were feral. It took them a bit of time but now they are firmly attached to my face.
Awww kitty looks so great now and is happy thanks to your patience and love 💜 🐈💕
I can't stand to see an animal who needs help. Good for you for saving this guy. I hope you have a lot of good years together.
Wonderful cat. Wonderful human ❤
The cat became quite chubby...a good sign that the cat was well cared now.
Special guy, thanks for taking him as your own, he is so sweet❤️❤️
God bless you.

Thank you so much for protecting and loving that cute little boy
They know when they have had enough and just want to be loved and cared for. Thank you for being so kind.
Always amazing when an animal chooses you❤

One look at this gent & you can tell he's a sweetheart, Cimnabon knew it 2! 👍😻😎
GREAT STORY , I HAD THE SAME EXACT THING WITH A BLACK CAT, NOW HE IS INSIDE AND HAPPY ! GRERAT JOB SIR !
Sorry for your loss. Yes, some people are mean, when they tell themselves they are good. Always check thoroughly if a cat doesn't belong to someone else!
Ours are all chipped!
