Thank-you so much for explaining everything and this video. Not only this but all. I put your info out there not only to educate but for parts. Again i was able to get my k3 back together properly and without much problems
Its your fuel fitler. my 04 GSX-R 1000 did your same symptoms and its was the little fuel filter, he's now powerful as new and revs to the cutoff and pull like a champ! For the pressure he needs to make it on a pull because his test is not good with just a throttle blip the pressure will not drop enough.
@@Youngsoldier93 hi .. did you fix the issue? Im having the same problem, i got new fuel pump, new plugs, fi cleaned, trotle body cleaned new batery, and still having the same issue, last option is the fuel regulator maybe..?
Im experiencing where my bike will cut out after about 30 min or if its to hot outside. I was recommended to replace my fuel pump previously. Has anyone experienced the bike motor just cutting out randomly? Fyi the pump is running is at low at fuel pressure. I’ve replaced the fuel filter and did not fix the issue I even bypass the kickstand switch. my next step is to replace the fuel pump assembly. 2005 gsxr 1000
I also have a question, i have a 2006 gsxr 1000 and everytime i leave it for hours and go to start. Most of the time it will and run for 5 secs, then i have to start it again and its fine. ?? Not sure why it takes 2 starts to keep it running after its been sitting
Petrol engines are simple. They just need 3 things to run. Petrol, air pressure and a good spark. On modern engines, the amount of plumbing and computer wizardry that controls these three are what makes them complex.
What if the bike is on idle mode then a soon you roll the throttle around 3-4K Rmp then suddenly the bike automatic shut off.. is that a sign for fuel pump issues?
I have problem in my GSX-R 1000, K4. Sometimes everything is fine but sometimes i see: FI + code C41. While i see FI I can ride. Does anyone have an idea ? New fuel filter
My GSX S1000F is struggling at idling RPM and anything below 2000. Above that, it’s silky smooth. Throttle bodies, injectors, tank and fuel pump cleaned, and strainer changed to new. But problem persists. Fuel pressure gauge is erratically going up and down. But as I said, when riding, bike is struggling only at low RPM’s, but above 3000, it’s perfectly fine. Think the fuel pump could be the culprit? Or does a fuel pump problem primarily become an issue at higher revvs?
Yeah take it to the dealership where they can charge you $300 for them to just do a simple 30-minute test when I can buy a test kit for like 50 bucks that is great advice
@@catbrown The aftermarket (especially Chinese) fuel pumps are known to be quite a lot inferior to the Japanese Mitsubishi one that Suzuki supplies. Trouble is, the Suzuki part is very expensive as you have to buy the complete unit when (usually) its just the big filter in the white plastic housing that needs to be serviced. They get you because unlike the smaller clip on filter, these cannot be serviced. I have heard that GSX-S1000 fuel pumps may be modified to work, but I'm still researching this for my K5 1000 that I'm rebuilding ua-cam.com/video/FXm1Gq2E6JU/v-deo.html.
What was the issue? I bought a 60$ pump assembly and it bogs around 7/9k rpm full throttle it bogs all the time fuel pump works, changed spark plugs, oil, just had injectors and fuel lines cleaned completely still doing it. I plan on doing a fuel pump test to see if this 60$ assembly is not pumping enough fuel... so to be continued idk what else to loook for
Its your fuel fitler, mine did the exact symptoms and he was running like new after that, he was bogging at 9k and below that when at full throttle he was bogging too and it was his fuel filter. Hope it will help somebody else too!
My 2002 Gsxr 1000 I just replaced the fuel pump, and now it's leaking fuel. One point it was coming out the fuel line freely, and now i think I fixed it and I think it's leaking around the base I think. And now it won't start. No codes when everything is plugged in. What should I do to fix this.
Hello. I have an issue with my system. I changed out the screen, followed your other video, the screen was gunked. Before i replaced it the bike started, idled, could rev 4000, 5000, 6000 rpm no problem. But under load in every gear it cant rev past 4000. Now, since changing the screen, it is worse. Lucky to get to 4000rpm. 3000 to 3500rpm and can barely ride it now. The only o-ring i changed where the Large Tank and the o-ring 15113-35F00. Maybe i should have changed the other o-rings. But whatever is the problem it still remains and is actually worse. Maybe fuel pump? Maybe regulator. Wish i knew. Anyone know that tell me?
It does not mean that the fuel filter is fine, it needs a large amount of flowing when the bike is on a pull, mine was the fuel filter and now he's powerful and running like new.
And a throttle blip is not enough to test the pressure, a full throttle pull load is needed to see it drop if he's clogged. Mine was rhe fuel filter and now runs like new, I hope it will help somebody else too!
Glad your back John.

Seems like the issue I'm having, struggles after 7/8k rpm. Will check fuel pressure tomorrow.

Where you buying a 50 test kit? These kits are over 1000$ to properly test a GSXR’s fuel pump
Can these procedures work for a 2011 GSXR 1000?
When we give it full throttle, it bows down, won't respond. We just changed the fuel pump and wonder if this aftermarket part isn't working properly.

Your main fuel filter is clogged. You can bypass the expensive filter $125 and place a car filter outside the tank.
Quick question I have an 04 gsxr1000 when I disconnect the fuel line the gas just runs nonstop what can cause that thanks.
Usually a siphon effect from the line, you can clamp it while you work.
It means your filter is clean. If your filter is dirty it will not flow readily.
It does not mean that the fuel filter is fine, it needs a large amount of flowing when the bike is on a pull, mine was the fuel filter and now he's powerful and running like new.

Wow, those fuel pressure testing parts are crazy expensive.
Good video though!
Video skipped way ahead. Then stopped. Audio stayed on time. ????
Thats well over $1000 for a fkn fuel pressure guage... lmao? This a joke?
