Purchased this model a couple of weeks ago and have not turned it off, with a 3 year warranty... I'll be testing that out, I've been on one camping trip in 35 degree heat, works a treat with no problems , very quiet and I'm very impressed so far, we'll see how she goes as my fridge will be running all of the time not just on camping trips.
@@fearnobeer9077 They could have these days , my one is still on and running fine , been 3 years now , always on in the garage at home , I never turn it off ..Beer fridge
It's a cool feature, @Nigel Naughton, maybe future models will get an upgrade. I'm not sure about the Dometic availability in the US, as far as I was aware it is an international. ~ Ben
Dometic have opted for reversible lids on the new models, so you can still open them either way but you need to remove and re-attach the lid to do this, The lid on the CFF 45 doesn't require you to remove it to open either way which is a pretty cool feature. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors Cheers Ben such a cool feature, your reviews are awesome. I'm always cheering when I Google a product and you guys have done a video on it 👍
Maybe I didn't hear correctly but, can we, for example, choose to use only the tiny compartiment for -3°C and the big one for normal use? Or the opposite...
There's only one compartment in this fridge, so its not a dual zone. It will run fully at whatever temperature its set at. You'd need something like a Combi fridge, or a Dual Zone fridge to be able to operate separate zones ~ Lauren
Great video. What are the base footprints? eg top is 59cm but looks like the bottom floor would be smaller? want to know if it fits on rear seat floor.
The cover comes part of the package when you purchase a CFF fridge, Thiellie, but it doesn't look to be available as a separate item. You could contact Dometic directly, they might be able to help - www.dometic.com/. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors Hi Ben, Thanks fro responding to this comment so quickly. I have ordered the fridge from teh Dometic website but it did not include the cover. And they don't seem to sell any cover at this time for de CFF35. I'll try asking to be sure. Thanks again for the feedback. have a nice day
Interesting question, it may have changed over the years, originally SECOP but it may have changed to a Dometic genuine compressor at some stage. It will either be SECOP or Dometic's genuine compressor. Long story short, it's a good compressor. ~ Ben
It's slightly different to both the CF and the CFX fridges, Matt. It is running a Secop compressor as did the CF fridges, whereas the CFX range has a Waeco compressor. The other key difference is with the refrigeration panel i.e. the panel that the refrigerant runs through. This panel on both the CF and the CFX fridges lines around about 80% of the interior walls with a smaller 'unlined' section that can be used for dairy items that rest happier at a slightly lower temperature. In the CFF, however, this panel covers the entire interior wall of the fridge which means an even temperature throughout. I hope this answers your question. ~ Ben
I've got a CFF 35 and love it. I was wondering if they have a similar cover. I asked Domestic US and they said there isn't one for it. Do you happen to know if the CF 35 cover will work on the CFF or if there is one out there for it specifically?
There is a cover for the CFF45, but I have a feeling the CFF35 may be a US only product. You can check out the CFF45 cover here - www.snowys.com.au/cff-insulated-cover. I'm not sure if the CF 35 cover will work though, it would be worth seeing if you can try it in store before you committed to a purchase. ~ Ben
I have an Engel too, J Smith, and it's never missed a beat. The Dometic fridges have come a long way recently though, and if I was in the market for a new one, I'd have a bit of trouble working out which way to go. At the end of the day, both Engel and Dometic make great fridges and you can't go wrong either way. ~ Ben
Yep I did say Engel every-time however Engel doesn't have the electronic thermostat, it sucks when you go up to the high country this time of year and forget to turn your fridge down overnight and the milk freezes. I do like these I do Have the new CFX 95 and its great.
HI, I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE 12VOLT PLUG AND THE 110VOLTS PLUG , DO I NEED TO UNPLUG THE 12VOLT SOCKET WHEN I PLUG THE 110VOLTS PLUG, WHEN I PUT MY TRUCK IN THE GARAGE, I PLUG THE CFF45 WITH THE 110VOLTS FROM THE GARAGE MURAL PLUG..... BUT I M NOT SURE IF I NEED TO TAKE OFF THE 12VOLT SOCKET FROM THE TRUCK...... THANK YOU.

It should have collapsible handles to save space in your vehicle as like the CFX-95
The handles easily unscrew
The CFX models should have this awesome opening mechanism too! I don't see these available in the States yet. ;-(

It's a little bit smaller, dewalt934, hard to measure exactly but it looks like dimensions are about 1.5-2cm less at the base than the top. ~ Ben

Single zones dont come with a " Andersen" plug outlet for the 12 V?
None of the Dometic have an Anderson plug outlet, OzMick, there is only a few fridges with anything more than a USB output. ~ Ben
