    I'm from the US but just wanted to mention that ya'll have, by far, the best 12V fridge description videos out there on the world wide web. Thanks for all the effort you put into making these videos and allowing us to get a feel of what various fridges offer.

    I can’t decide to go either with this on the 45 or the 55

      It comes down to what you are cooking, and how many drinks you want to fit in. If budget and space allows, then 55 litres will give you more flexibility, but a 45 litre fridge is a popular all-round size. ~ Ben

    I’d absolutely love if you did the 75dz and 95dz as well! Either separately or ideally comparing the two? Even if you just sat them side by side while looking at specifics of one and then visa versa, or just referencing the dimension differences between the two in each separate video! Hope that’s not too much to ask, thanks again for making such informative videos, really helps ensure we can all make smart purchases and know what we are getting!

    Thanks for the great video. Are the handles AND handle anchors fully removable? Just curious because I'm looking to try and fit this into a kitchen system that would require a slightly smaller dimension. This was possible with the previous version of the Dometic fridges.

      Hi John, I had to try this for you as it isn't documented anywhere. Good news is that yes, the handles are removable with an allen key, and when removed the ends of the fridge become flush with only the screw holes visible. Each handle removed reduced the length of the fridge by about 32 mm. I hope that helps. ~ Ben

    Your videos are great! One thing, are the dimensions you state, to the outside of the handles or just the main fridge body?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 роки тому

      Hi kanuckster, thanks for the kudos.
      The 69.4 cm measurement includes the handles, it's 63 cm in length just for the body.

    Can the lid be removed without opening it entirely? I'm considering it for an application where there is space constraint and it may only open partially so being able to just remove it may be the best approach as it avoids the need for a slide.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 роки тому

      You need to push the lid all the way back to pop it off, bring_it_on.
      You'll have to wrestle with it a bit to get it free without the leverage you get by pushing it all the way back.

    Hi Ben, Is there any way you can change input voltage (from 100 to 240V)? I bought CFX3-45 and seller sent me 120V option here in Mongolia we have 220V. is there any part that I can change and make it 220V? Tried to contact Dometic's customer support but no response. hopefuly you can help me

      I don't think this is possible, Tulga B, you'd probably need to take it to a fridge mechanic for a definite answer to this question. ~ Ben

    Could you show me the bottom ? Is it possible to remove feet and fix the fridge to the floor by screwing ? Thank you.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Julie, we don't have a photo of the bottom, sorry, and each fridge will be slightly different.
      There are M6 threaded inserts in the base for mounting the fridge permanently. The feet area not removable as they form part of the moulded plastic and are only a few mm high. The threaded inserts are in slightly different locations to the feet, for the most part they are just inside the feet at the non-compressor end, and are situated so as to avoid the compressor at the other end about quarter way in from the edge.
      I hope that helps.

    Thanks for the thorough review. I have a question on the dimensions. The edges, base and top look a couple cm or so narrower than the overall width with than indented rim around there. Could you tell me the measurement of the footprint base width please? I have a tight space, more narrow at bottom. Thank you.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      It's a little difficult to get exact measurements for you here sorry, tatijitu23, you can see some dimensions here (www.snowys.com.au/cfx3-45-portable-fridge-freezer), but they don't go into the detail you are after.
      By my measurements, the slopes on the edges start about 5 cm from the edge and take about 1 cm off of each side at the base and top, and the radius of the rounded ends is about 5cm.
      So you are taking about 2-3 cm off the total width and maybe 8-10 cm at the very base, but this doesn't allow for any depth.
      I hope that helps.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      It's always dependent on how you travel and the type of food you eat, but I'd say this is a good option for your scenario. I have a family of four and travel for extended periods with a 40L fridge, but this then requires some management . But it's perfect for a weekend away. ~ Ben

      Not a whole lot of difference, just a bit of volume. I wouldn't hold my breath for a sale this close to launch of these new fridges, Dometic are sitting tight with their pricing at the moment.

      @@SnowysOutdoors That's fine...I was just busting your chops a little.
      What I did find a little bizarre is that police in Australia have the authority to enter a private residence with no warrant, anytime they feel like it, and slap the bracelets on whoever they want. Like that pregnant "anti-mask" mother dragged crying out of her home in front of her little kids.
      My girlfriend says it's because half of Australians were convicts and the other half guards. According to her, that ratio still holds true today. Otherwise, why would people so meekly submit to KGB tactics? Australians have an instinct of submitting to authority. Putting their necks on the block.

      My thinking is, if you're bush bashing, and smashing through harsh elements for weeks in end, and your fridge is in the back of a tray, exposed, then obviously get an Engel with a team frame. My fridge will be inside a van, so not phased by plastic so long as it's high quality.
