    Delicious green apples have arrived at the market. I am thinking to make some of it. We need to taste the apple sample first to ensure the final result is desirable quality. If apples are good, wine will definitely be awesome.

    Looks great. I can't wait to try it out. Will the apple wine be fizzy after bottling? Or should I open the bottle caps from time to time in the first weeks of bottling? With gratitude to your excellent advise.

      Thank you for watching our video,
      You can make it fizzy, but it can be turned into dangerous situation if not handled properly. If you don't know how to carbonate the drink, wait to finish the secondary fermentation. Then add 1 TSP. White sugar for each bottle when you bottling it. The same time fill into a pet bottle with same quantity sugar (same capacity of your other bottle) and keep it along with other bottles. Check your pet bottle after 5 to 7 days, if it's tight when you pressing it that means your wine is carbonated. It will be fizzy when you opening it. Open carefully. Don't fill the bottles till the neck leave some space to hold the gas(CO2). Enjoy your Apple Wine

      Thank you for watching our video,
      We got 10% ABV, but it depends on variety of Apple used, may vary upon the sweetness of the Apples.
      You can increase the alcohol percentage by adding more sugar into wine mixture (wine must) but, a strong Yeasts family should be there to ferment it, you get maximum 18% ABV Wine. You can add strong Wine Yeasts to increase the alcohol percentage. For this you have to take proper sugar gravity test before fermentation, then after the fermentation also with the help of a triple scale hydrometer. It's showed in Rice Wine video.
      After all we are brewing the wine in traditional method, that is why we are not showing the science side of brewing process.

    • @FoodiesWok
      @FoodiesWok  7 днів тому +1

      Thank you for watching our video,
      It's simple to make a homemade airlock system.
      Required items.
      1) Used or New Pressure Cooker Stud.
      2) Silicon Rubber washers suitable to Cooker Stud.
      3) Silicon Rubber hose. Size tight fit to Cooker Stud.(Length as required)
      4) Air Tight Glass Container (Yera brand has gasket attached on the lid)
      Testing : fill water in container till neck and close the airlock system fixed lid. Leave the end of silicon rubber hose into a bottle filled with water as shown as in our video. Then press little on the container lid and watch on the bottle, if bubbles are coming or water level in hose going down means your airlock system is working properly.
      That's all

      You can remove alcohol from your wine or you can reduce it.
      Heat the wine in steel pot (on a stove in medium heat)
      Regulate the heat to 75°C if you have cooking thermometer.
      If you don't have thermometer, heat the wine till vaporising starts. (Don't boil it).
      Keep the heat in this level until required level of alcohol. By tasting you can calculate it.

      Waw, thank you, you are very knowledgeable on this. This makes lots of sense cuz alcohol boiling temperature is lower than water.

    • @FoodiesWok
      @FoodiesWok  7 днів тому +1

      @@clydecoghiel288 It's because of evaporation of alcohol. Alcohol evaporates on 75°C. If you left wine to boil definitely alcohol level goes to zero.
      But Wine gets caramelized and taste and nutritional value of the fruit also will go down. That's why we should keep the temperature at 75°C only to evaporate the alcohol.

      No need to add Extra Yeasts for making Grapes Wine and Apple Wine. But it should be direct from Farm not processed. Means Grapes washing and adding hard chemicals to increase it's shelf life. And it's doing on Apples in different ways. First washing in chemicals and coating wax on it. In these cases you can't use it for fermentation directly. In can be done only from farm to customer fruits (Grapes and Apples).

      This Apple Wine is still with us with all goodness of Apple. I know Wine making process is science. Yeasts consuming sugar from the wine must and releases ethanol (Alcohol) and Carbon Dioxide. Once Wine is made and kept open the Wine jar, the Ethanol gets evaporated and the Acetobacter bacteria comes into action and oxidize the Wine resulting the wine converting into Acetic Acid (Vinegar) which is called in this case Apple Cider Vinegar.
