I have almost everything for my birb Pinky, except the calcium thingy. I don't need a birb bath, she likes bathing in my hand or her yellow cover. ❤ 🐦 ❤
Your bird needs calcium to lay eggs and not die
I certainly should get a scale and some of the stuff. Though giving Fred a bath and any outside time is impossible since she never got outside time from her previous owner and refuses to go out, and getting the cats to stay in another room or part of the house would be difficult. She also is a rather picky eater, but she still gets the love she can get from the family.

We clean our birds' cages with a 50/50 mix of apple cider vinegar and water. Some people on UA-cam promote Poop Off and similar cleaners, but we don't find it necessary to buy those.

My budgie Pippin absolutley hates me. Idk what to do with him anymore. I got him from the petstore a week ago and my friendd and family think I should return him while I still can. I tried the 5 minute trick and bonding, closest he ever let me get was stroking his foot, but even then I was inching my finger so slowly that he was falling asleep. He never perched on my finger which im disappointed. (AND YES ik it takes much longer then a week for him to perch on the finger. But now when im just chilling in my room he does that screeching noise (the angry one) and I cannot get him to stop. Please help 😅
One week is not even close to being enough time for your bird to be trained and love you. You have to build trust and make him feel safe. And giving up after a week or even longer to take any pet back is awful. You cannot expect your bird to be like all the tik tok birds. It takes a lot of patience and time but they will learn to trust you. The screeching he is doing is because he wants attention. Being in same room and letting him observe you is good. Try to get closer and speak with him softly and try to interact that way for a few days. Open cage to give him the choice of coming out. Use millet spray and just place your hand and let him decide if he wants to approach. All these steps will take time but eventually will payoff. Just p,ease don’t give up on him! Good luck!
@@SabrinaG70 I wish I saw this earlier, I personally didn't wanna give up on him and give him away but my parents kinda forced me too because he "smelled too bad" Also if I let him out of the cage he would never go back in. Like when I first got him he flew out of the box and all around my room- basically everywhere but the cage. I do miss my bird and I did have high hopes for Pippin. I thought we could've had a good relationship, and I agree I was kinda expecting what the tiktoks were showing me, but I've watched this guys channel quite a bit and he said not to expect it. Thanks for all the info and tips- if I ever get a bird again I will most definitely not give up on them.

I trained all by budgies without treats ,honestly didn't even think about using treats I thought that way of training was mainly for dogs 😂

Get some food like seeds, apple or strawberries, and if you have seeds get a some and put it on your hand and they will maybe eat (it takes time for them to trust you) and if they eat try to do it everyday! Morning, afternoon, they will eventually go on top of your hand and trust you 👍
