Bro u are such a good person ❤❤❤
Our bird sunny has escaped our house. We are look for him as much as we can but we can’t find him so we might have to buy a new budgie. This might help me a lot. Thank you.
Try turning all your light off a flashing a light in the cage. A budgies usual response is to fly towards the light
My budgies almost Evreytime I give a thing they start fighting can you help?
My mom’s friends dad has over 14 budgies in one small cage. I want to take one home and care for it maybe two so it can be happeir
It is my 6th ormy8
my budgie beats her toys
Before my story - pets are not your toys. If you take them with you, make sure to take care of them until your life leaves you or they themselves pass on from old age. Too many times I see humans discard their animals just because they are not the wa they thought they'd be. So as a human being I beg you people - think this through carefully. An animal is not going to follow every thing you ask him to do, and that is fine. Love them the way they are.
The first budgie I've ever gotten, last year, showed none of the symptoms at the pet store, besides maybe lack of playfullness, but Kiwi was alone in his cage so I didn't think much of it. But then I got him a female for company, a very caring one, and I noticed that besides preening Kiwi and singing for him, Luna never convinced Kiwi to play with her, and after a month of this I was convinced that something's wrong with Kiwi. I went to an avian vet and lo' and behold - he had a very progressed case of chlamydia 😔 He was prescribed antibiotics, but the vet had little hope in his recovery. The poor buddy was stressed out every time I had to take him in my hand to feed him from a syringe, since he was not trained yet and I had to give the medication as soon as I could. One day, I came back home, about two weeks after this started, and I heard Luna screaming at the top of her lungs, almost whimpering. And I saw Kiwi at the bottom of the cage, grasping for air... For 4 months, I gave him everything I could, and sadly the illness and stress was too much for him. I let him rest on me for the last few minutes and Luna sat there, preening him and whimpering.
I reported the pet shop to the vet and she said that it wasn't the first time she has seen animals from there with different illnesses, and most avians came there with chlamydia also. All these reports and almost a year later - the pet shop still stands, and since I walk past it every workday, I occasionally see other birds in heartbreaking conditions...
As for me, I took in another budgie, and Sky was not spared either. I came to see him from an ad at a woman's place 3 months ago, and he was perfectly healthy. Flying in his cage, even. But then the woman grabbed him and he screamed. She dislocated his left wing. In front of my eyes. Then she just went "Oh well, do you want to take another one? I'll just discard him later" To say that I was mad would be an understatement. My aunt has budgies of her own, and this BITCH had only 4 of them, though maybe she had their parents somewhere, either way I called my aunt and asked here to come over. I took the poor baby Sky with me, for free, since that woman just gave him to me with a look of disgust and judgement, as if I was the biggest piece of filth for taking him from her instead of her discarding him, though sadly no vet could help him recover him wing, so he is still grounded, though jolly and sings to me and Luna every morning. As for the other three, I still visit them at my aunts place, and I am glad that they're doing ok. As for the woman, I still see her ads on websites, so I make ads on the same sites with the info about that woman so hopefully she cannot continue here ill-gotten business.
Please excuse my rambling. I just want to let other animal lovers to know all this, since no one else in my life really cares. I will make sure my babies grow old together, happily.
Exactly it’s not a human. It’s an animal people gotta understand that. But more than than likely, you’re probably not gonna pass before your bird does.😂
I can tell you are a real bird lover. Same here! Some people just give birds to their kids to keep them occupied. Some treat them like toys or even decoration!😮
i CANT get over the fact that you sound like Kermit the frog
I agree
Salvador budgie I wish I knew these sooner, cause a while back I had a bird from the pet store, ( his name was birdie ) I tried to give it a good life but I wasn’t the best caretaker. I tried to give it toys to play with and he played well, but, and eventually it got sick. I didn’t know the symptoms so I didn’t take it to the vet or anything, I assumed he was healthy cause it was acting normal and running around and chirping. But.. after months of having my bird he died due to an illness I didn’t look or keep a close eye on. If I ever get another bird I’ll do more research, and definitely be better next time. Fly high, birdie! 🕊️❤️
Cool story i was delighted by this masterpiece, after reading this excellent story i cried for your poor bird Birdie 😭
@@sanaty3580Don’t have to be that sarcastic, I know it didn’t make since I wrote this as soon as i woke up 😭😭😭😭
I didn't even think about ACV for cleaning. Thank you for suggesting this. Also, I do live in an area that has a great avian vet (wings of the world), but I will also look into online vets as the vet gets very busy.
This guy literally sounds like Kermit the Frog.
Hey where do you find those bird stuff? Im trying to make my own parakeet playground because they are so expensive...
you can make your own
Any kind of fruit tree branches for porches should do fine for a base, and toys can be anything - from chewables that is basically just wood or store-bought
@Nestorlopez1612Bro what?💀
@Nestorlopez1612 Yeah, because he probably doesn't see them dimwit.😐
Hey I'm Scared Of my Budgies How do I Get Rid of My Fear
Bro I spoil my bird way to much lil bro is wearing pampers hats and little outfits has a 5 star bed
Am I the only one who thinks this dude sounds like Earnie?
When I got my first bird, I had the offer to get two. Man i regret only one because my budgie was very active and i watched it for hours. Very healthy budgie, she had a friend but I was selfish and wanted our bond first :o: then i saw my mistake and came back and it was gone. Her friend was a white male budgie :

Hi! What are the leafy greens? Safe for all birds?
Cabbages? My birds like cabbages, even more when it's wet
Spinach, kale, dandelion, turnip greens :)
Birds of a feather, flock together- basic
Family never ends for birds no matter who it is❤
One thing from experience: If you're a beginner, despite conterary belief, do not get a pair. Especially if they've past their peak, they will want to have eggs. I'm telling you, it takes a lot of care and knowledge to take care of a tiny family (such as what age to start feeding the chicks yourself, what the dangers of laying eggs are like eggbinding, ect).
You can't neuter(obviously, they don't have those) or spay a bird either(atleast with ease). Getting a pair is essentially signing a contract that involves taking more responsibility.
I find it sad that people get pairs not knowing what they will get into in the future. Once they do, they only make their birds more stressed, and the female has a higher chance of dying from eggbinding or abandoning the nest altogether. And the owner wonders why.
As a beginner, you are new to the bird world. It's best to leave the raising chicks to the future by getting a bird that's the same gender.
That's all true and very good information a good way to prevent that though is not giving them any beds or nests their bodies won't go in to "breeding mode" also getting 2 but housing them separately would be best once they're hand tamed they can go together
@@traxy1238 Just saying because they will probably find the weirdest place in your room to nest. Happened to me.
@@Specklewing very true if they're free flying 😆 but easily avoidable if they're cage or aviary birds
@@traxy1238 caging them isn't necessarily good though. But once again, the female I had was a Houdini.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH I'm in the middle of building an avoriey with my father this was a bunch of help thank you so much
My grandma's budgie is a bundle of joy. The problem is it unable to fly. Anyone know why?
I disagree with this completely behaviour is definitely a thing and good budgie will make it easier on you have it is nice idea to take a loving pair or a sient one home
Bad person you know nothing about budgies then and I bet your a small itty bitty child probs so don't comment something you don't know if you are still a child I don't like doing it if I don't kno and you not speaking English
I have a yellow budgie and it is very dengour. When I was starting tame it is doing ttuttiurerturt like this so I hate this what can I do with my female budgie
Budgies are all littles angels but if they are aggresive it’s maybe because you did something wrong 😕
I loved my birds at the first day but when Moon escaped, we only captured Sky, Then sky got sick and then died😢
when u said nugget…. I thought u made salvadora a nugget after she died.
My budgie don't like milet spray😢
What you didn't mention the sex and that when choosing another budgie you may be breaking up a paired couple.

This video came out 2 hours after I got my new budgie. Oh well
I have a baby bird and the nose is not pick
Hi, I love your UA-cam videos, and I learned all of how to take care of a bird because of you and recently last night. All three of my birds passed away because of a big mistake I made yesterday I was in Michigan and I and the food was for to the branch, but I found it really empty and they were dead, but I’m going to get a new bird I better watch all your videos
I have to say, you were a bit careless
I have a budgie of my own but I had one before him for a few weeks but sadly that budgie passed away for unknown reason and we got it from pet co, I also have seen videos of budgies in the garbage of pet o and petsmart so don’t buy from those places please unless you want a Broken heart 💔
Yes they treat birds so bad. I’d recommend any breeder and check if the birds have diseases
Ummm I want a parrot but I can't buy it :(
more budgies
every one loves nice birds like bird nuggets
What types of food should not be given besides avocado?
also make sure to keep cats away, most likely that bird will be dinner for the cat.
You don't need to for cage birds because the cage protects it
Bro what the frick👹
Getting one tmw😊
sadly i have money for onley one
I'm not worried about that thing 😮
Here’s a story of my birds!
So I was going to get my first bird and i got one yellow and the other blue. I named them lemon and sky. Sky was a female and lemon was a male. She layer her first egg after like 3 months of having them. She liked laying eggs because she eats them (she is a weirdo). After laying some eggs she took a break for a month or so and it’s already been 6 months for having them. Sky sadly got her egg stuck in her body and got an internal bleeding and then had to say her goodbyes at 7 am. I felt bad for lemon so I got him another bird. This bird looked like a male at first and I thought the guy that sold it tricked me. I got another bird which was thankfully a female and then I noticed that cloud (the bird that I thought was a male) turned out to be a female and lemon didn’t like her. So now I got her bluey (a blue bird) and hopefully cloud likes him! I’m dealing with 4 birds but I’m happy with them :)
For me I'll just have my sis lov on them while I'm at soccer because I'll miss them not always wanting to play with me

I have a little sister if she keeps looking at the parakeet from the cage and talking is it ok or not
Very good information but im surprised you didn’t mention how it is very bad for budgies or any other birds to have the same shaped perches. It’s proven to cause arthritis and other problems for the birds. It is crucial to have different types of perches with different consistency in the shape.
The part about use of cookware, do not use the coated cookware, I was told by the avian Vet that it gives off an odor that can kill the birds. I used cast iron cookware. not a problem.
I have a terrible problem one of my budgie open the cage and flew as he was getting out he got grese on his feather its not fully tamed help me no vet around here

What to do after getting a new one
My budgies are scared of me what to do? I used your tricks about 2 years. These tips didnt work.
Talk to them, hand feed them, let them out (in a bird proof room) If you struggle to get them back in when you let them out than shine a light at its cage and turn all the lights in the room off. The bird will fly towards the light

@@davidredwine672 no they are parrots
Yeah, no. Please don't buy your animals from pet stores! You may think you're 'rescuing' them but all you're actually doing is funding the pet store so they can treat more animals the same way. No pet channel should advertise getting animals from pet shops. Especially as there are so many pets needing homes in rescues!
Ok where should we get them from then plus the stores i get budgies from they treat budgies good
These homes that rescue animals are sometimes way far away from a pet store that is close by. So it's easier to get a pet on these stores.
@stickyburger7192 I can assure you they don't. RESCUE CENTRES are a great place to get animals. You're actually saving them then.
Also I don't think children should be buying animals at all. Unless the parents have done the research and will give the animal the care they need. Some kids are dedicated but it usually ends up being the parents job to look after the animal.
@Carmiineh If you can't be arsed to get an animal from a rescue then you're more likely to buy all the shit the pet stores sell for animals that aren't suitable for the animal. They sell to make profits with little to no care about the animals they sell. People should always research. There is absolutely no excuse to not do research these days. We have the whole sum of human knowledge in the palm of our hands.
People should put the animal's welfare above their own.
@@seajay632 oi dont assume i have 2 budgies and i do 90% of the work and im only 14 my friend whos 11 also has a budgie with rare color and he does 100% of the work and yes we feed them vegetables we have a vitamin thing they can chew on and change water and food everyday and take them out the cage everyday for the entire day plus the nearest rescue center is literally in a different city and there is no way my parents would want to go there as hard as i beg them its a no
The thing you should remember when thinking about a new bird is that they live in the wild in trees not in houses in cages.
DONT RELEASE THEM IN THE WILD
I bet if you released a budgie into the wild it would die in a month. But yeah this doesn’t mean to keep it I played in its cage it’s whole life

Nah someone else said first but nice try 👍
What I have learned when you get the 1-2 birds it all takes time for both human and bird toe adjust to each other. My fist 2 birds from a store died within 1 week. The next 2 were from a shelter they lasted for some time. Lots of fun
im getting a bird today! i dont know what color it'll be, if its yellow im gonna name it ducky wuck, if its blue im gonna name it cloudy, if its purple im gonna name it moony
