Spot on about engaging with the car. Who cares about who's cars faster? Who's enjoying driving the most is what really matters and a nice exhaust mod will enhance the experience 👍
Jon: Great camera work from Sebastian. The final result on the exhaust is what I KNEW you would sort out. Distinct, but NOT STUPID loud or droning 👍. 16:51
This sounds great! This is the first CTR that doesn’t sound like a ricer, and finally sounds more like a real tuner 4cyl car! Thanks to your dedication and expertise on working on the exhaust. Excellent job guys! Oh, and your kid is great at filming!
Absolutely do the paint correction, and do it soon. Follow it with a minimum of two coats ceramic. It’s so hard to get the paint where you want it if you don’t do it right from the beginning. Thanks for the video!
Great job and great sound John! Thanks for not making it sounds ricey. Also thanks for including the little guy in the vid. My dad would've done the same with me. 💯💯💯
John, was trying to figure out why you din't wind it out in 1st, then realised traction control was rearing up☺ Can't wait for Sebastian's CRX motor swap!
Great channel, like all you saying about cars and what matters. Im really split between the type s and type r . Dropped deposit on the types s because i was able to drive it and i got it for msrp. I drive an ap1 s2k and this will be my daily but i also want to have same engagement, im afraid i missing out pn something i had no chance to test. But technically both cars are the same just differently tuned.
I think the cars are pretty much the same minus body panels and tuning . The Type S will be a little softer and bit more of a cushy daily , the R is a little more track focused but is still a nice daily. I think it really comes down to looks. I can go wrong with either I think. They are not like an S2000. That raw, noisy, light weight , high reving Hondas are gone unfortunately.
may want to add a "pass" "drive" cut out text to the side marker templates. people with a 3d printer might be interested in buying the file if shipping isn't affordable to their location.
I’m curious to know if the exhaust audio is still pumped in from the speakers like some reviews suggest? Either way, what you’ve done sounds and also looks really fantastic!
Convinced if you guys buy a Tesla you will fabricate an exhaust for it and give it life. Thanks for the video. You should test your s2ks on that back road as well
Tremendous to see the amount of work you guys invest in perfecting this exhaust, although I still find it hard to imagine tinkering with a car with 300 miles on it 😁. Serious question tho', does it need to be run in and would it make any difference if you did?
I just test drove a FL5 with Eibach pro springs…. 👎👎👎👎 would not recommend. It was bouncy like I was in R+ mode in comfort. Would not do those brand… I own a FK8. It was just bad on the FL5 with that brand lowering springs.
youve definitely improved the sound. I just dont think this engine can sound good no matter what you do. Factor in the cost for us normies to get that exhaust and its just not worth it.
Some people are happy with the stock exhaust. This would be obviously cheaper in stainless, and if mufflers were sourced the correct size from the get go. I’m not trying to sell these, this is for my car. Just sharing.
That fake interior sound they pipe in is so atrociously bad. Unreal. Why would they think that noise would be pleasant to listen to. Gotta find a way to turn that off
Great job, guys! Sebastian is hired as the new LHT cameraman 😂
He’s actually really good.

Yep. I feel so many times we get caught up in the data and not the feedback.

The new R looks phenomenally aesthetically pleasing visually
Father and son duo. Nothing beats having a great time with your kids.
Sebastian did a great job! Love seeing him bro it up with Daddy and share in hobbies and passions!
He loves his RC. He came second with his stock slash last night out of 27 cars.

Unique content 👌 I know FL5 owners are stoked to see how you mod the stock exhaust!

This second updated exhaust is better than the first. Will have to copy your idea and cut my muffler to make it fit.
What a great car...The Acura Integra Type S looks amazing also.
Sebastian is a natural talent 😊
I love that thing. Reminds me of my CR with the color match wing. Thanks for another great video.
I always appreciate your input and the things you say sometimes makes me laugh. Thanks buddy.😀😀😀
Good job filming your dad, Sebastian!
I like the sound profile! Good work with reducing the 2 outer exhaust runner diameter. It sounds deep and guttural, but not sloppy.
Sounds really nice. Well done.
Every hobby shop in America is in a shopping center identical to that one!
Lol. I think you’re right
Great job and great sound John! Thanks for not making it sounds ricey. Also thanks for including the little guy in the vid. My dad would've done the same with me. 💯💯💯
I have several of those car giveaway flash lights they're great
They are pretty cool. I’m not sure how long they last in a shop environment. We’ll see.
Best exhaust hands down is Remark titanium with nice big pop at red line and not like a kid 😎
From Sweden, I have yo wait for the RC content, I'm 58 btw ;)
You never too old for RC 👍🏻
John, was trying to figure out why you din't wind it out in 1st, then realised traction control was rearing up☺ Can't wait for Sebastian's CRX motor swap!
Winding theses cars out is 7000rpms. Lol.
Sounds like the focus RS. Looks nice but not the sound profile i prefer. That's most likely indicative of the motor rather than the exhaust work.
exhaust sounds great!
Sebastian is the spitting image of you lmao
sounds very good
sounds perfect!
Sound great!

Wished i could purchase this exhaust from you
Ever think about a Titanium curly exhaust like the Si?
were is the corvette?
Will these pipes be for sale in a kit?
Nice!!..this should've been done outta factory namean more money out the window but it is a must
Nice deep growl. I like 👍
RV6 660 Turbo coming soon? A TD-05 ball bearing upgrade?
In your opinion, what’s the best exhaust off the shelf option for the type R
Unfortunately I’ve yet to hear it. Possibly the stock with the middle muffler and first resonator removed
Are you planning on offering these or is this just a one off? Pricing?
I doubt we’ll be making/ producing them. No one will want to pay what goes into this.
@@LHTPerformance figured around 3k or so for it
@@TheFK8Life the material bill it’s self is around $2600.
Do a front mount and turn it up

It is pumped in. I haven’t looked into where and how to disconnect yet.
@@LHTPerformance remove glove box, remove trim panel behind GB, ECU on the left side, unplug and tie up wire.
ua-cam.com/video/2lnVZXJSKvM/v-deo.html should be the same … this worked on my FK8
Did you get the wing painted body color? Looks good. Tempted to get mine painted but I'm also eyeing the carbon fiber wing.
Yes. The day I received it the wing was removed for Paint.
Is it possible to turn off the shift beep sound?
Of course
honestly... this is the best sounding one (next to the scorpion exhaust) for the FK8/FL5... and yes everything else does sound like crap
I don’t think that’s valved is it ? I want the drive modes to work
my 2018 Si has no gas cap.. does the FK8/FL5 have gas caps?
It has a gas cap.
I have to ask, what lawnmover do you use ?
I have a Honda. The basic pull start. Never fails.

We have some videos of it
If you made the same design out of stainless, would it sound the same? Or does titanium sound different from steel?
Exhaust material design really change the sound. Header should is often changed by material as it tends to eco the pulses.
That body colored wing is everything how its supposed to be
I think it’s a must of you’re keeping the factory wing. The factory disappears, it may as well not be installed.
Tremendous to see the amount of work you guys invest in perfecting this exhaust, although I still find it hard to imagine tinkering with a car with 300 miles on it 😁. Serious question tho', does it need to be run in and would it make any difference if you did?
Modern engines don’t require a break in. The clutch does require a break which I did very carefully for 200 miles.

You guys did your best but that motor just doesnt put out nice sounds.
Yes. I mentioned many times, it sounds like crap. But it sure beats what’s to come. EV nation 🤮
@@LHTPerformance lol you got that right but better yet it's a manual. 👍
First one watch video^^
original exhaust sound is better
Meh
That fake interior sound they pipe in is so atrociously bad. Unreal. Why would they think that noise would be pleasant to listen to. Gotta find a way to turn that off
Yes. I agree
