I came across your channel because I have a fondness for Scottish Gaelic though I have no illusions about ever really learning it, I've traveled a couple of months across the Western isles and can roughly make out how to pronounce the Gaelic spelling and that's it. But Japanese, I'm fluent enough to have worked for Japanese companies in the US and lets just say most Americans have no idea what most Japanese who work in the US really think of American workers and the American culture when speaking among themselves. Most Americans have no idea how wide the cultural gap really is. I tried to check out the Japanese course you advertise but can't see a sample without signing up so its not worth it for me. But to be honest, from hearing you speak, these classes seem to not give you much help in learning Japanese pitch accent which as a native level speaker is what sets apart a fully comprehensive Japanese course from a poor one. I grew up speaking Japanese at home and if my pitch was even slightly off, my parents will pounce on me to correct it, "you sound like a gaijin", and even though I don't use Japanese any more, I can always tell when my pitch accent is off or heading into something Kansai which I've been known to slide into by picking it up from by Osaka bosses.
BTW, the t-shirt with the samurai is probably someone of the Tokugawa clan, the crest or mon is the Mitsuba Aoi or Three Hollyhock Leaves and Tokugawa is written 德川.

Thanks for the comment! The course starts out for absolute beginners, so it doesn't talk about pitch accent, although that's something I study on my own. Japanese is so much harder than Gàidhlig and Cymraeg that I know it'll take me much longer to reach a native-like fluency, even while working for a Japanese company.
