This saved my life! My Cricut suddenly wouldn't cut on the glossy sticker paper, which has never happened before. I thought for sure my Cricut was about done for. Thank you!
im a big ol newbie and you just SAVED me with the matte tape trick! Literally crying over my computer trying to get it to work, you are a LIFE SAVER!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you. I struggled with this for more than an hours & watched several videos. This video restore my sanity...LOL
Thank you soooo much, I tried everything, even contact cricut help center and they said "there's nothing else we can do and your machine is out of warranty", until I find your video and that was it, super simple
Life saver I almost gave up, your video was the second video I came across and I’m so thankful i did 😊, circuit please update the machines to accommodate glossy paper or give a disclaimer!
OMG! SERIOUSLY!!! What a life saver I was about ready to "accidentally" drop my cricut through the wall lol BRILLIANT THANK YOU!!!
I love how for everything we think we can do on a Cricut there is a workaround in order to actually do it! Thank you for working this out. Now to figure out how to stop my 2-sided glossy paper from fusing to the mat (even pulled off some of the adhesive when I ripped it off!) without having to buy new paper :)
After 5 failed attempts I searched for a solution and found your tutorial! So grateful you provided an easy solution that didn't involve contacting Cricut and waiting for what seems like an eternity lol. thank you for the help, now I can proceed with making some stickers for my business :)
THANKS YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER I HAD BEEN STRUGGLING FOR A WHILE BEING A NEW BEGINNER USING THE CRICUT MACHINE.
This video helped me so much!! I had no idea why I was getting that error. After learning that it was the light reflecting off of the cut marks, I took a sharpie and traced the cut marks and that worked perfectly the first time!!! Thank you so much for your clarity on why this happens!!
How thick of a sharpie? Thanks!
@@0419Amanda just thick enough to cover the printed line - it reduces/removes the glare
you saved my craft! so happy i bumped in to your video.. I never used my print and cut in my glossy papers for two years! now i can use it now! thank u so much for sharing your techniques!
انا لم ينجح معي السبب؟؟
You can also try turning off your lights in the room, or taking something to cover the area while scanning. I wish cricut had an option to turn off the scanner light or something haha
Hey! Thank you so much for this! I'm a substitute teacher who works in a lot of secondary school libraries and have been teaching myself different aspects of the Cricut and ran into this exact issue. This not only helped me solve it but recognize why I was having problems with alignment (the machine doesn't seem to like the holographic laminate, agh!!!)
i love you so much for making this video. i've been trying to figure out how to get it to see the lines on glossy paper for hours!!! I tried the matte tape trick and the sharpie trick but your idea of just taping over it with a matte printed line is genius. i wish we didn't have to do all of this just to get the cricut to work but i'm just glad i found this video!!
Your video helped me so much! I printed a copy on plain paper and then aligned it and taped it over my glossy sticker page and cut it several times. It's not perfectly aligned but it is good Thank you !!!!
I tried the printing on regular cardstock and taped the matte lines on top of the glossy lines and it worked!! Thank you so much. I was getting soo frustrated.
This worked on transparency film! I also used white cardstock for the backing since the film was transparent.
Thank you! This did help with my calibration, now to see if it helps with my actual stickers, patience, patience, patience!
It has not solved the calibration issue though. The main lines were set to the best option and then when I got to the final rectangle it was on 3 of the borders but off entirely on the top one.
The clear tape definitely helped a lot and just made sure my room was dark enough
Hey guys what worked for me was going over the lines with a marker, hope this helps..
Thank you soooo much for the tips!! This worked perfectly with the tape! YOU ROCK!!!
This is such a huge hassle especially for bulk cutting. There is so much extra work that needs to be done :(
I had the same issue and I used a black sharpie to go over the lines and it worked perfectly. Try that and let us know if it worked for you.
Last tip worked for me. Thank you!!
Im new to crint on cut on cricut and i did NOT know about the matte tape hack!!!! Tried so many other things and of course it was the easiest thing >< THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
You’re video helped me finish an order I had to finish quickly, usually using a dry erase marker to go over the lines worked for me but it was working today😰 TYSM🤗💕
I had this exact issue with mine. Very helpful - my Cricut has never worked better.
Loool
Worked like a charm! Saved my project!
I did this and it worked. Im so happy, but isnt this sorta of a waste of product, i cut it out of matte and taped it to glossy, but do i need to do this everytime i do different sets of stickers,
there has got to be a better way. The matte tape trick didnt work. HELP,.
Thank You ❤Used plain copy paper and it worked 👍
Thanks you so much for your video!!! It helps me just in time!! Super easy tip!! Thanks thanks!
Thank you !
worked like a charm, but i cant believe i had to resort to cutting and taping!
GENIUS thanks for the scotch tape trick
THANK. YOU.
Thank you so much. I was about to lose it.
How did you get the black registration lines all around the border?? Mine only shows in the corners.
What paper is that you are using for those stickers? I have difficulty with the paper rolling once it’s off the mat.
Thank you! I loved the idea!
Your a life saver
Omg thank u for your video this tape helped me
Esto me ha funcionado, en mi caso usé masking tape, no tardo ni 10 segundos en detectar las marcas de corte.
Very helpful. Thank you
Thank you 🙏
Thank you, girl. I was so disappointed that my stickers weren’t cutting.
It works 🎉
Hi I’m having issues with print to cut and the glossy sticker paper I used all this method still has trouble scanning sometimes it will freeze during scanning and when it does cut it is cutting completely different sizes of the image and this only happens with glossy sticker paper, this just started to happen I had no issues when I first started making stickers then this issue been occurring randomly any help that your might know ??
i have this issue too
My machine recognises the registration line but it keeps selecting my last 7 labels to print in full and that's frustrating
I just close the top lid of my cricut and it works fine; no need for tape :)
I’ve tried that and it didn’t work :(
@@jellyjarco oh nooo :( maybe it’s the paper I’m using too :(
@@exlibrislily7444 Ya I think so too :(
Hello, I hope somebody answers my question here. I've been having trouble with my cricut explorer air 2 which I just purchase last month, August. My machine cannot register the sensor marks and have tried every possible hack on youtube been watching almost 10-20 videos since the 6th of September how to fix this and still has the same issue where my machine cannot scan the sensor marks and it's making me crazy. I have tried scotch tape, marker, fixing it on the mat, and more. Even with a printed calibration sheet it still won't register the sensor marks. I need help. It does not work on any type of paper that I have tried which is paper, photo paper, sticker paper both matte and glossy, and also printable vinyl. I have also used soft brush to clean the sensor light but having the same error. Contacted the cricut support but they are just going round and round and does not answer nor help with my issue.
I would say the machine is defective if it’s not cutting any type of paper. I would contact support, you need a new machine.
Just put a piece tape on the light itself
You are a life saver 🥹💖
