Vicky is an amazing reviewer! To be honest, I get when people say these cars are pointless but there is something vicious and sexy about this one - I sort of like the different back to the car it looks futuristic

Those are front tires and winter ones dimension rear are 315, I leased it week ago and got it with winter tires, however in car book said it is 285 22 front 325 22 rear
yeah iv'e already had to replace tyres on mine (1 yr old) and they front tyres were a different price to the back tyres coz they're different sizes.

brilliant design, brilliant sound. was overtaken by a 450gle yesterday. not the amg, the 9 speed 4 matic version she mentioned. absolutely epic looking vehicle up close. huge road prescence. leaves the x6 for dead in the looks department..plus there is visible rear vision room through the back window unlike the x6.

I happen to love both the X6 and GLE. Although they look exactly the same, I absolutely love the roar on this one, sounds like a stang.
i love german cars they arent show off(loud), they focus on performance.

Excellent review. Having owned pretty much everything worth owning, I am happy with this purchase as it’s a different vibe and something more outlandish compared to a Porsche and a BMW. It splits opinion but regardless of all the small little “niggles” this car is fun to drive, and has immense road presence.
When did the normal GLE come out? I feel like I totally didn't hear about this car until today.
All who say no purpose, is driving in luxury and driving fast as hell at the same time something with no purpose? Be able to drive that car at all weather driving long distance,city and offroad with the perfect confort and speed?
This is the definition of the purpose of a car. This and the x6 are what cars are all about.

Apart from the car, that, although i like Mercedes, its a hideous unpractical thing in any engine and spec, she touched about steering precision. She said its precise, but yet lacks some feel, something i always assumed to be co-related. So, my question is, could different tires and suspension tweaking improve that feel? I just find it odd that a system can be precise but at the same time lack feel for such precision. Any engineer can help me with this?
Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged / SVR For example, Land Rover has tuned the Sport Supercharged’s suspension system-four-corner air springs, adaptive magnetorheological dampers, and hydraulic anti-roll bars-for better body control and less roll. Further, the company swapped out the rear subframe bushings for stiffer pieces. The result is impressive: The SVR feels competent and spry, if not exactly lithe or overtly playful. There’s a small penalty to ride quality compared with the standard Sport Supercharged. Sharp, high-frequency bumps are now felt instead of just heard, but the overall package still feels comfy enough not to call too much attention to itself.
We presume that increased attention is part of what buyers are looking for if they’re shopping for an SVR. We’re not sure all the other Range Rover and Range Rover Sport drivers in Birmingham pegged the SVR as something special. Certainly our version’s $1800 worth of intense blueness probably piqued some interest. But the rest of the get-up-a deeper, hungrier-looking front fascia; a new rear-bumper cover for the quad exhausts; the blacked-out trim and front grille; and the curious black fender vents that appear to have auxiliary fender vents attached to them-is pretty subtle and tasteful. Well, except maybe for those fender vents. Alas, we digress. Very few vehicles can venture off-road, tackle the Nürburgring, and haul five passengers in luxurious comfort, but the Range Rover Sport Supercharged is one of them. A 510-hp supercharged 5.0-liter V-8, eight-speed automatic, and adjustable four-wheel-drive system help it easily hustle down any road or trail. The SVR model ups horsepower to 550 and features a stiffer suspension for even better handling, while a leather-lined and feature-packed interior help it earn its Range Rover badging.

She is tight around the corners although she is being pumped hard around the circe. Nothing better feeling as a tight grip around the corners

I'd like to see this reviewer more often. She talks the talk and does a great presentation. Excellent. The car will sell in huge numbers, I think. MB have done a fantastic job with this otherwise stupid segment. Time will tell.

Why do you keep comparing this to the Cayenne Turbo / RR Sport SVR while the main rival for this is the X6 M? People would consider the Normal GLE 63 AMG S if they are looking to buy the Cayenne or the RR SVR, not this. I'd definitely like to know how this fairs against the BMW X6 M.
the last 2 good looking cars Merc made was the SLS AMG and the S-class coupe
100vasiliy the SLR stirling moss is the boss. no other production car they've done in the last 60 yrs has come close, imho.
i also think the SLS is by far one of the most uniqe looking cars to date, but they threw that away and made the AMG GT look like many other cars
also very rare and very expensive
the old and the newer SLS are the only merc's i would think of buying if i ever had that kind of money

Never seen the point in a fast SUV, if speed is what you want get something meant to be quick and if you want a utilitarian vehicle go for something that isn't so flash since I doubt anyone who buys one of these will be going offroad all that much.
