    NOTE:
Guys, in the making of this video, I considered a home state the state which each candidate started their career (political or not) until the moment of each election, not necessarily the state that the candidate was born.
Eisenhower was the only one to "switch" his home state, as you already know, Ike was an important general and didn't start his political career until the presidency (in the US), so I decided it was best to put Pennsylvania in 56 as his home state, because he moved there during his term. Thanks for watching!

@@robertriley4732 I think you are confusing birthstate and homestate. Willkie was an executive for C&S in New York City, and was known as a prominent businessman there. It's interesting that in the 1968 election, though Wallace - an avowed segregationist - won, Humphrey was the candidate who came in second place in Alabama even though Humphrey was much more pro-civil rights than Richard Nixon. I find it interesting because it shows how long loyalty to the Democratic Party persisted in the Deep South in spite of more and more Democrats showing their civil rights bona fides over time. I guess political loyalties take a long time to burn out.

@@derrickstorm6976 Gore was considered somewhat conservative in his views. Like many white Southern Democrats, Gore was socially conservative on some issues. For example, he voted to limit federal funding for abortion. He also voted for a nationwide moment of silence to start the school day that many religious conservatives saw as an opportunity to bring prayer into the classroom. Gore even expressed reservations about homosexuality at the time in an interview. In 1984, Gore said, “I do not believe it is simply an acceptable alternative that society should affirm.” Gore was one of the few Democrats to vote for the Gulf War in 1991. Not to mention that he had a wife who founded the PMRC and tried to deny freedom of speech to everyone.
Why do you consider Gore NOT a conservative?
