This osmo way better then osmo action i will pay off my action and get this one!!!😂 so i will be complete mini pro 4 osmo action 4 and pocket 3 nothing else! And use your Lut!🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for that Darren. I’ve had the P2 creator combo since it came out but have found that I’ve used it exclusively for family videos, holidays etc but don’t vlog. Didn’t really need the Mic. I’ve decided to get the P3 but just the standard kit as I can’t see myself needing the clip on mic 2 so might as well save a few bob!
It seems to be a worthy upgrade to the Pocket 2, but only time will tell if its worth it. The Creator combo is on backorder almost everywhere now. Thanks for sharing.
The approximate sensor size is 13mm by 9 mm. Nothing 1" about it. It is legacy naming from old. The actual crop factor is 1/2.7 compared to a full frame sensor.
I'm tempted by this but two things give me pause. 1. I read that it forces boca so when vlogging you don't have the option of choosing if the background is blurry or clear. 2. A tripod or selfie stick can't be screwed into the bottom of it.
Debating this or Action 4 for upcoming African and Asian trip. Mostly concerned with African safari part since rest will be more typical tourist travel. Which do you think would fare better? Will be in a Land Cruiser mostly and I have a bridge camera for zooming in on animals so this will be more for landscape, traveling in the jeep off road and dusk/dawn footage. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Pocket 3 will be fine and you'll enjoy a lot more quality over the OA4 and those early safari sunrises or sunsets will be far better properly stabilised using 3 axis rather than EIS which starts to struggle in lower light conditions. OA4 is really for true action use.
@@8dcphoto Thanks for the feedback. ! I wasn’t sure if the Pocket 3 would be too fragile…both on the safari and basic rigors of travel with the gimbal etc.
@@georgebarbero4743I've been using the Pocket Series since day1 on travels all over the world, they have never missed a beat for me in terms of the gimbal, don't get me wrong they aren't tanks but take precautions and you'll be fine. I wouldn't attach it to say a safari vehicle for a long periods or anything where there is prolonged heavy vibration but hand holding will remove most of the jarring and shock. Just be careful and look after it remembering that the device isn't weather sealed.
Hi i have a question. Is this a good camera for a disney/amusement park trip? and if so can you use it in attractions or is it better to buy an action cam like go pro or dji action cam?
Is a great little machine, I only complain because DJI dont' put in the package the charger, that now isn't available. I use at my risk and working the charger of my mini 2
I'm thinking of buying the osmo pocket 3 as a B camera but I'm in a dilemma which version to buy.. (standard or combo) because I have some microphones wireless (helliland) I don't know of course how important so would the other accessories and how much better would the original microphone be. What would you recommend with your experience? (do you think it's worth the +150 €)
You should, really impressed with it. Some reports over overheating but I haven’t experienced any. Maybe if you film slow motion for long periods of time but it’s been great for me. The mic 2 is great and love it has a built in receiver
How does it work for recording myself while trying to show the city behind me? I think that it will be too close to my face. In that case, does it have a port to connect it to a bigger tripod or extensor, if that makes sense?
1st time ive heard that it had 32 bit float for teh mic which is awesome same as teh new rode pro mics so never have bad audio def changing up to this !
Pretty soon it's all you'll be able to use in Blackpool when they add drone use to their proposed PSPO. Fines for getting caught flying a drone could be £500 soon! Check it out!
I guess the better option is any 360 camera. As with the 360 cameras, you can position the camera where you want, and you can video your self or any object without positioning only in one direction.
Biggest problem with 360 cams is all stabilisation is done using EIS processing rather than a physical 3 axis gimbal and this is really obvious especially in lower or more dynamic lighting conditions where the EIS has to reduce shitter speed to get more light in which results in those wierd blurry artifacts in the footage. The quality and stability of the OP3 beats any consumer 360 camera without breaking a sweat, add onto that you have remote mic 2 with built-in loval 32 bit-float recording and this things is leaps aheap.
@@8dcphoto did you see any biker video where they use an insta360 camera while they are racing on the back of their bikes. The stabilisation is incredible. DJI Osmo Pocket is a waste of money, as any smartphone gimbal is doing the same. Even the DJI Osmo Action 2 camera, the stabilisation is crazy. And for tracking your self mode, here, you will need a second person to mark you on the display, as there are no hand gestures. In insta360 you simply don't need that. Was thinking a year ago to buy DJI Osmo Pocket but then it's the same as any smartphone Gimbal, so I went to insta360 Go 2. And insta360 camera. Of course the bigger sensor has a huge impact but, any social media nova days, crops the image quality while posting.
Wait... you started the video with a sentence ending wirh "Which one is BETTER?" I must have watched 70-80 OP3 videos (before and after buying it) I've never heard that phrase before. You may be the first human to utter those words, lol. Reasonably sure the question isnt "which", but a question of to what degree the P2 got stomped. In spite of spec bumps, Pocket 2 was a rare follow up that some users preferred the predecessor. OG Pocket created a new product. P2 was rushed, had multiple issues that were never resolved - tracking was terrible and overheating was an issue. One thing still puzzles me. Why do you need to add an extension to put a tripod mount? Why fidnt they just have the tripod mount as a flip down section? Otherwise I love it!
Exactly the same thoughts, it should of had a thread in the bottom of the base or the extension mount should have built in tripod legs, too many things required to simply set the camera down. As for the sentence....well you know that sets me apart from other people 😂
Funny that the DJI Air 3 didn't get the 1 inch sensor but they put it on the Pocket 3... Makes me think they could have done it for the Air 3 but didn't want to make the Mini 4 look lesser. IMHO
The pocket 3 it does not have the microphone receiver built into the unit . This is still the same as the previous model, The receiver is still built into the tripod handle . and therefore you cannot use the wireless microphone at the same time as you in the extended battery handle . This can be confirmed by reading pages 6 of the DJI uses manual . if you feel the instructions are incorrect , can anyone could confirm this please let me know because this is the only thing that's stopping me from buying it ..
It does, that is referring if you want to connect the original dji mic. The pocket 3 has a built in receiver so all you need to do it turn on the pocket 3 and mic 2
I have been using it in California and it hasn't overheated once. Maybe if your doing long 4K60 or 120fps for long periods of time but nobody should be doing that
Returned mine because of overheating. I watch my videos on a 75" TV and it jerks watching moving images at 30 FPS or less. Look like I'm just too sensitive to these micro stutters and therefore only film in 60fps.
