    This is the most well explained Osmo Pocket 3 video I’ve seen to this date. I’ve owned it since release but only used it a handful of times working with bands, it’s just smooth filming those live shots even if it might be a bit to wide. Still, maneuver like a ninja and the gimbal inside is crazy stable.

    I just picked up the pocket 3. Did one test in low light living room, and was hooked. Last weekend I was on set for a film and the cinematographer shot everything on a tripod, because we just didn't have the time for him to set up his gimbal (he'd have to break down his rig etc). If I'd have had this then, we'd have gotten the couple of shots I wanted with camera movement. On a previous set, my gimbal died... so when I saw this on sale the other day, I had to snatch it up. Great video. I have never used one, except for my 1 minute living room test. I'll be using it for a shoot this weekend in a church. Hence the low light test.

  • @RogEdwardsTV
    @RogEdwardsTV 4 місяці тому +1

    Great tips. In auto mode I find the "face" shots are often horrible in terms of exposure AND white balance which never happened with the Pocket 2. You can tell UA-camrs who've upgraded to the P3 because they often suddenly have orange faces (if they've filmed in auto). I've got it sorted now after lots of fiddling about in manual.

    • @HuFilms
      @HuFilms  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks, yeah, I should have mentioned this. You know when you're grading the footage and you need to constantly trim the clip to re-adjust different segments of it. It gets facial exposure and colour wrong a lot.

  • @GoLoco
    @GoLoco 3 місяці тому

    I'm glad I'm not the only one to succumb to the "quick record and go" bad habit! I've also recorded tons of sub-par footage and trying to be better at planning out my shoots more. That said, my travel style is very much the "unplanned" type so it is quite challenging to plan a shoot without taking the fun out of travelling! My holidays are my holidays and not a way for me to generate income from 🙂

    • @HuFilms
      @HuFilms  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, it's just the nature of the beast. The main thing is to make sure you edit your content. So many people let footage build up and not do anything with it and that'll kill your spirit. It's following through, getting it out there and seeing people's reaction, that will make or break you. I almost ditched this video half way through because I thought it wasn't good enough but I stuck with it and polished up the edit and it worked. Lesson learned.

    Hi Hallease
    Great video, can you tell me the best settings to film in to allow you to upload to your editing app ( I use VN) and I then upload to UA-cam?
    I have had some problems where it’s taking ages or failing to export out of VN and then taking ages to upload to UA-cam, maybe my file size is too big?

    I shot some footage for a quick UA-cam video indoors yesterday and my footage looked like total shit. Should I have been using dlog or ? Just seemed so crappy could have been user error but didn't feel I was doing anything terribly off. Thanks 🤙🏾

    What clamp system are you using to support your iPhone on that monopod?

    Thanks for the tips, recently used the Pocket 3 in Vegas and had a nightmare going from the Dark casino floors to outside. Constantly having to change filters as I wanted continuous shots. I had to remove the filter usage and set the camera camera back to default bar the shutter speed. Do you have any tips as the different lighting aspects of Vegas has really caught me off guard. I’d spent months creating the 4 camera settings to not use them. Thanks in advance
