Buy one 400m when it released, afk with it alot while watching Lol Worlds 2024 making almost 200m worth of energy, resell the dowser for 530m after the event almost end. Best investment ever.
dont feel bad, my alts made me enough cash to buy it for 350-375m, didnt jump on it and now i paid 575M lol.. yep.. i had to secure it before the hype escalated and everyones 10% buff ended, i've made 125M from it so far, not too bad! also bought the hunter one recently which i put the 125M towards 420M for the hunter offhand.
Sold it for around 340, still no regrets I don't actively train divination and only do it for divine energy wildy event or guthixian cache pre 99 or clue step requirement

Based on what you're saying, then it is easier to kill Zamorak at 4,000% enrage than it is to get 200m in a skill. No, that's not the case. A 4k kill takes maybe 15 minutes, and is significantly harder than clicking the screen once every few minutes for several months.

How does it compare to using a divine vacuum to farm for charges? do you get more energy per hour to make more divine charges than you can siphon with the vacuum an hour?
If you go to W70 and also use muspah and scrim, it's an easy 40k+/hr energy. If you add aura in there as well, I think it's like 44k or something like that.
by moving to a normal world youd ruin your results also because the 15% bonuses only matter outside of w79. From my testing, Douser is 10% better but tbh that might just be mostly down to there being less clicks and less human error (like afking with a completed invent). The time saved depositing memories is relatively negligible, maybe 5%. Even 10% when you're getting 600k/hr is whatever. The biggest bonus imo is like you said, does everything from before but better an more afk.
the downside that I found is that it drains the wisps of memories so you have to start a new one and that nobody clicks on your wisp; Jagex will probably patch it though

i think this is kinda dumb.. i like games using inventories and i feel like they are slowly removing the use of it. takes out some of the immersion like sleeping bags being removed! let us sleep on the floor for a +2% 1hr xp boost

imo they just need to tweak the numbers with the attuner and it will be fine, its better for the magic thread so its not useless, I just think it needs a little more buffing for the final run, or you can use that buff on any altar and it would be perfect
For future testing, you can disable assistance in game settings to block things like pulse cores while allowing you to train in the community world. This will make future testing a bit more reliable, because enriched wisps are such a big part of incandescent training. The mass world has almost 100% uptime on them. 34% sounds ridiculous. You should be getting 15% or *maybe* 20% more exp. If you got 34% more exp, then you didn't control for something properly. In a true comparison, you lost light creature, lost scrimshaw, removed walking to the rift, and gained 15% double memory chance. That is ALL, and that is not an improvement of 34%.
Cutting out the walking changes the rate a lot itself. Look at the new boss as an example. If you tick walk the mechanics, it's an easy sub 2:30 kill. If you walk as soon as you see the square under your feet, you're gonna get a 3+ min kill. And that's just from losing a couple ticks here and there from a short boss fight. You extend that over the course of an hour, it makes a huge difference. Due to the game running on a tick system, it's very believable that it's a 34% increase from test A to B.
@@PragmaticTax that is an absolutely horrible example; gate has you moving about every 7 ticks, compared to every 50 or so for divination. Still not the 19% (or more) increase you'd need to get to the overall 34% buff
@marshallc6215 How is that a horrible example? It's explaining how a couple ticks here and there change things drastically. Want another example? Cooking is a 4-tick action, but you can 3-tick it. Just that alone is around a 15% increase in xp/hr. Ticks add up quickly. Just because you'd expect a 15-20% increase based on some text in a tooltip doesn't mean it translates that way in practice. Not having to walk to the rift, waiting for the animation, walking back, waiting for another animation changes the rates significantly over the course of an hour. If you don't believe it, go try it for yourself.

the divine vacuum was already worse than semi active dunking, it just allowed afk. which this does way better.
