I would like to see a full fairing swap. I have an 04 gsxr 1000 black, I was thinking on getting the while/blue fairings, but I wouldn't mind putting the 05-06 or even the 07-08 fairings on it. I have a video where I was doing a CBR F2/F3 to an F4i front and 03/04 600RR tail. But ended up selling the bike.
John Steven i was going to swap it with a 05 1000 fairing. But I'd have to change the headlight and all. The bracket won't sit right. So imma leave wit the 04/05 600 fairings. Unless I do just the 1000 side fairing and leave the front 04 600 headlight.
Yo…. Can u tell me wt it took to do the swap? I know u needed the new plastic but did u change the rear sub frame in order to do so or was u able to just tweak a few things to do so?
No I didn't have to change the subframe. I just had to cut the seat brackets and move them up higher since the k6 seat is smaller ( not the lock hatch. I left that alone) I jbwelded them back on. Everything else was a tight fight. As you put the plastics on ull come across little edged and corners on the plastics that you'll have to grind literally just a little. It's not that hard at all.
No. Stock subframe. Everything is stock. Just cut the seat bracket and moved it up higher since the k6 seat is smaller. Cut the helmet holders cuz they will be in the way. I posted a link to a thread were I attached pictures. It's somewhere in the comments.

I didnt do the whole fairing kit. Just the tail section. I'm sure there a way to do it but the headlight would be a problem bcuz the headlight stay bracket isnt the same. So I didnt attempt that.

DeusBelli76 I bought all the tail fairing parts from a 06/07 used. Signal lights with the brackets. Seat. Tail light with the bracket. Undertail and undertail part that holds and goes inbetween the tail light. Main thing I did was cut off my seat brackets and helmet hooks (not the top hook were the seat slides in. The bottom were it locks)and reattached them wit jb weld a little higher since the seat is smaller. You can use the same seat lock bracket. And I cut. Dremeled the center fairing on the inside left side and right a little. Cuz the 04/05 rear subframe is a little wider so the center fairing was stretching and I couldn't attach the undertail/taillight cover. And I tried the signal light brackets in the the inside. I have 05 and I love the 06 rear tail so now I do the conversion because I'm sure It works because I see ur video thanks 😊
