How To Assemble 1960-87 Chevy C10 Lower Control Arms (With Steel Threaded Bushings)

  • I realized there's not a great video showing the process. It's not that difficult but the steel bushings can create some problems. It's not a big deal to take these off, clean them up, and make them look and perform like brand new or better for way less than buying new.
    Grease Fitting Caps: amzn.to/2lNmpVV

    Do these cross shafts/bushings also work in 73-87 C10 lower control arms?...someone on a forum says the control arms are the same except the ball joint hole size?

    Those steel threaded bushings replace the rubber bushings that come on my stock control arms?

    props for rebuilding these man. I chickened out and got the CPP lowers to match the uppers. Hoping the wider CPP lowers don't interfere with finding headers. Do your stock lowers have tight clearance between the cross shaft nut and the down tubes of the header on the driver side? I can't remember which headers you used for this build. Cheers

    • @paulkc10
      @paulkc10  4 роки тому

      No clearance issues at all. It’s a tight fit but Speed Engineering has it figured out.

      I bought a 67 about six months ago it was a very clean and rust free, had it shipped from the west to Ohio, I was not as brave as you I had a shop cut the frame for me so now I do have a short bed also. In the process of installing 3k worth suspension and brake parts from ECE.
