I'm really hoping "Game Announced Far Too Early" turns out good! It sounds like something I'd be interested in, but I'm worried that it won't be a finished product by the time they offer it for sale. I'll have to wait and see what it's like a couple weeks after release before I make a decision about whether or not they put enough time into development. when i first bought games on CD or DVD i had finished games, i could play through without gamebreaking bugs. if the game had multiplayer i could host a server and join anyone elses server and thats it. nowadays you buy a game that needs to be fixed repeatedly, even after years of its release, and the multiplayer aspects of the games are running on the publishers servers, that they can turn off anytime they want, and even delete the game, so you can never play it again.
Not the most up to date ( 6 months ago)but a buddy of mine has a brother whom reached out to Haenir Studio about Blight and is now assisting with in game making music. It just sounded fun hearing the few songs he had worked on at the time.
The Outlast Trials could also come out this year. It's had a closed beta along with documentaries of how its being created. It's still in the works, but looks like it's close to being done
Insane amount of great games in development. Another one that I stumbled on towards the end of the year is "The Inquisitor", to be published by Kalypso media. It's an alt-history medieval game, where you play as inquisitor for a MUCH more militant Church rooting out heresy, but also you have the ability to go to some kind of hellish nightmare dimension and fight demonic things there. Not a whole ton of info but it looked really cool.
man I got some things on my wishlist and I hope at least half of these games to release this year: Hell is Us, Outpost, Vampire Clans, Frostpunk 2, Unawake, Renown, Reka, Vigilancer 2099, The Invincible, Skate Story and some platformers like Risk of Rain Returns, Animal Well, Library of Babel, Velaster, The Last Case of Benedict Fox, Iron Meat, Erra, Through the Nightmares, Mechinus, Crowsworn, Moadra, Mandragora. Happy to share and hope to see some get exposed in future videos :)

Rise of the Ronin is 2024 idk where “sometime” this year allegedly is coming from. Stranger of Paradise was last year and it’s still getting DLC as of January. Wo Long Fallen Dynast is coming in March 2023 and that will have post launch DLC as well so at least 9 months for all of that season pass content to drop. I don’t see ROTR coming anytime earlier than Q1 2024.
I would imagine that the Assassin's Creed codename games are going to be a lot like the Assassin's Creed Chronicles games where it's just a side-scroller which can work for quite a few players but it's not quite with the series is

Oh there certainly already was an RTS game set in the Aliens universe. Aliens Vs Predator: Extinction from the original Xbox era. And it was awesome. Can't believe it's taken this long for a new RTS in this universe though and its a shame Extinction isn't backwards compatible on the One.
Greedfall 2 could be a serious over looked gem for gaming. The first one has serious potential, just didnt hit that mark for me. Had fun playing it tho. Running around as a poison knight build is serious fun and you chop down bosses with no problem. Hope they expand on the skill trees too. You can get op pretty quickly without having to do much investing in your skill points
You forgot 'Sons of The Forest', the sequel to possibly one of the best indie survival horror games ever made, but its okay lol Im also excited for Blight and i hope its a solid game because it really gives me ''Medieval The Last of Us'' aesthetics and it just seems like an unique mix of themes overall.

Well yeah of course. The triple A have been predominantly just those for the past 5-7 years. Theyre just too afraid to take risks now that making games has become dramatically more expensive.
Sequels, reboots, remixes, rewrites and rereleases. So depressing how little creativity goes into AAA games now. There are less than 3 games on this list I'm even slightly excited for, and it's sorta sad that you guys are ignoring so many good indie games that are slated for 2023. I'm not sure if you guys are targeting 12-16 year old boys with the action game coverage, but there's a huge world of gamers outside that niche that seems to be ignored by gameranx.

That’s the one thing I hate about video games in 2022 is how many of them got delayed such as AEW fight for ever got delayed by 2 months because 2 of cover stars upset everyone so the game has been delayed for about 2 months or so.
Special mention to Starfield Bethesda has been working tirelessly to make us this game and another mention to Elder scrolls six just because it was finally announced

I am so stoked for Remnant 2. I enjoyed the world building, the combat, and just tearing Root monsters with other players. It looks nuts
