...as always... LOVE RIDING WITH YOU MT MAN MIKE!! Thank you for sharing personal stuff with your passengers. I watch all your videos over and over again, waiting for a new one... today was a TREAT - God bless you brother- stay safe
I did not realize how soothing that low growl of the diesel is going down the roadway. Diesel trucks and driver move nearly everything in the USA and the world. We need diesels, drivers, and diesel fuel. We did drive from Southern California across the I-15 to the I-80 to the I-90 a few years ago to south Dakota and back. We passed thousands and thousands of trucks on the interstates and highways. Trucks truly keep the USA running.
A beautiful piece of the country. Now thats what i call snow.thanks for the videos. All we had was straight shifts no automatic i still love the sound that they make. Brings me back to good memories. I miss the road so thank you for all that you do and the nice safe ride.i would buy a tee shirt ive collected them for many years and all my travels. Looking forward to see what you come up with. Be safe until next time.
I have missed listening to your running commentary and conversation and seeing the magnificent country you drive thru. All the back roads are mesmerizing. I LOVE IT! YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO. You are a natural story teller. It's been a busy 3 months with a change in my lufe. Was raising my grandson for 3 years while Mommy finished her Masters Degree in Civil Structural Eng. In May she finished and graduated and was taken on by the company she had an internship for while in school. And was eirking from home because of Covid. So she was able to keep an eye on my grandson. So she sent me back to my house. I was staying the week with her and my son and go home on weekends. I did that for 3 years. The day Mark " Graduated from VPK" SHE had already graduated from the University the week before. So she yold me I could go home now and have my life back. I never felt like I had let mh life go. So I oacked up everything in my room, loaded my car on Friday Mark's last day of school I picked him up from school, took him home and left, going back to my house. My son was shocked! But I told him I don't stay where I'm not wanted. She wants me gone so I'm gone. It's the onlh way you will have peace and no tension in your home. That was the middle of May...this is the middle of September. My grandson is very upset cause He misses his Grandma. My son tells me hd asks about me all the time. When is Grandma coming back? I miss her. I had him over for an ovetnite one Friday night in July. He didn't want to go home. I was invited by my son for Labor Day weekend. Mark and I played all weekend. So I've had to rearrange my life again and hadn't had time to watch many you tube shows. Last night I started watching this episode and fell asleep so this afternoon I went back and restarted it. The scenery is just breathing and your humor...I missed that. You fill a void in my life and my thirst to travel. You are a blessing. Thank you for letting me RIDE SHOTGUN and I think T-shirts, drink cozies and ball caps with your logo and designs is a great idea. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Hopefully you have doged the Covid bullet. This country owes its truckers a tremendous debt for keeping things moving during this stupid government shutdown. You have kept the country fed and butts clean and medicines on the shelves and life for most Americans at a some what normal pace because you kept America moving. Thank you and I'm looking forward to seeing the changing colors of fall, the snow covered mountains of winter, and the fresh green of spring in the mountains thru yoyr eyes while RIDING SHOTGUN. I LOVE RIDING SHOTGUN. So you take care, protect your family and stay safe. Looking forward to catching up on back episodes and seeing new ones. Anne-Marie Olka Titusville Florida
I drove truck in the military. Came out and only drove for a short time with one truck company. Grain and flat bed. Yet as you said. Without the automatic. There would not be many trucker's out there. The truck my ex boss put me on was old but I still loved it. An coffin sleeper. Old Kenworth with an 13 speed. Perfect for the hills and mountain's. When he gave me my test driving test. The only thing he told me at the end of my test was this. Now I want you to only touch the clutch at the start and end. Never touch the clutch any other time. For the time I worked for him. I did just that. Until this day I do the exact same thing when I can find an manual transmission vehicle. The very best driving lesson I have ever gotten. Even to this day. I can put an trailer any where I want it. I watch also bonehead Truckers and lol all over the place on how the none trucker's drive. Yet, they still higher them. Take care.
OMGoodness I agree with Cathy below - Two in one day.... and SNOW!!!!!!!! I loved it and I watched with my coffee and a little dessert early in the morning. Thanks MMM!!!! On my way to part 2...
Just found your channel....cannot imagine how much info I have lost not following your channel til now.....I have only commented because I am so happy to have found someone who feels the way I do about the "little snowflakes" that will someday run this country......what a thought! I could rant forever but not enough time....enjoy your channel thanks!!!
Hey Mike I have been up and down Hiway 141 many times. Most of the time from the north going south to Norwood , Nucla and Naturita with loads of fertilizer . Nitrate from Cheyenne Wyo and 18-46 Phosphate from Rock Springs Wyo that is the phosphate that comes from the mine north of Vernal that you go by sometimes. It is sent to Rock Springs to be processed into fertilizer.

I LOVE THIS ROAD. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TRIP AND YOUR THE BEST TOUR GUIDE. I APPRECIATE YOUR EASY WAY OF TELLING THE STORIES OF THE ROAD AND ESPECIALLY YOUR COMMENTS ON THE SNOWFLAKES..LOL BLESSINGS TO YOU
Amazing long video, incredible scenery , thank you so much for keeping me company through a long morning in my bakery, put you on the worktop press play 'set it and forget it' 🤣😁 !!
I just ran across your UA-cam site today, really enjoying your videos. My father was a long haul driver when I was growing up here in Utah. This bringing up some old happy memories!
Mike...HGV in UK means .. Heavy Goods Vehicle.. Love your channel, drove for 33 years myself, America looks really beautiful from the cab of your truck. Used to love driving in Scotland..2 really beautiful countries.
Beautiful scenery Mike. Would love to take that trip on my bike one day. Keep up the great videos, let us know for sure when the t-shirts will be available. Keep the rubber side down, shiny side up.
What a nice ride, love the scenery and enjoy the countryside. Love seeing other parts of the USA, enjoy your conversation, keep up the good work, enjoy the ride.
Once again it is a pleasure to ride with you. I liked that part where the road was clear and then the snow road without clipping the video... Thank you ... Hello from clear and warm Indiana , unusual for the season as of 12/27/21
Oh my goodness Mike it's so Beautiful thank you for the ride along. Love, Love, Love riding shotgun with you and letting us know exactly where we are. Thank you again.
Glad you took this route as the landscape so far is beautiful. It looked interesting to drive as well. Yes, please, to merch. Vid length is never anything to apologize for unless it's too short ;-) And don't underestimate what subs/viewers would like to see. No matter how much you have driven certain routes, we've only seen them a small amount in comparison. Bring it on! And any section you think you have nothing new to say about... is perfect for Relaxation Highway (which I love, btw)! ✌
Mike, you may already know this, but the town name "Egnar" is proof of what great imagination the town founders had; the story is that they wanted to name their town "Range", but that name was already taken, so they basically said, "Let's just name it Range spelled backwards"- and that's where the town name came from! ; )
Hwy 64 Meeker to Rangely same no plowing in the nighttimes. Man oh man beginning the day with a new RIDING SHOTGUN video and ending the day with another new one. Getting ready for the drought while Mike is on vacation. Yeah vacation, moving, oh well many hands make light work. Always wondered about 141 now i know. Thanks for the great rides, Mike. Be safe ENJOY!!!
How about a picture of you standing by the truck with a good view of the snow and mountains in the background. Thanks for sharing your great videos 📹 👍
you know i messed up my back a long while back and before that happed i loved running the highways cant do it no more and with you doing this i really like being in your truck and running the roads thanks for doing this.
That sure was an interesting route you took there Mike and in summer could prove to be a fairly scenic route and of course to break it up speed wise , restrictions and commentary that we as your viewers have come to know makes you our preferred driver - so thanks again.
I have traveled many roads but I like riding shotgun with you are careful and very informational that most of us don't know as you been on the road many years
I will be in Estes Park in a month for ten days. Can’t wait! Love it out there! I’m retired, wife isn’t , otherwise we would be out there permanently! Thanks for the videos MMM!
Rodge see on the drinking. It is the individual who is accountable, thankyou. By the way I also done drink, why you well never guess , .... if I wanted to work , I had to be alcohol free. And I was on call every weekend , when most people drink ... so they knew I was safe to call . As they did not have time to be looking for people..... love the videos , thankyou for the share as always, PEACE! Enjoy, keep smiling it blows them away....😂🤣😃

Mike I'm from old school when I learned to drive on a stick shift 3 on the tree. In the 50's I was driving 10 gear truck, now I drive a 5 speed Toyota Tacoma and auto Camry 2012. But I mostly drive my truck.
Growing up in northeastern Wisconsin, I remember driving on frozen clear roadways in the winter with the snow blowing over the pavement. It is very safe because the roadway is clear, clean, and not slippery at all. Okay so the owner doesn't drink, but having lived in Utah for almost 30 years I know that the liquor licensing laws are prohibitive and expensive in that state. Also, the major religion in Utah also has a say in small towns in what is allowed and Blanding is definitely a small town. Keep in mind it is also a college town and heaven forbid those impressional young students shouldn't drink. But it is what it is. But I've lost count the many times I traveled that road from I70 to way south of Blanding and onto the rex to visit family. Stay safe Mike.
Just an add on to having a steak with wine. The State of Utah was founded by Mormons. ( Mine included) lots of Nielson's in that area. Anyway, Active Mormons dont drink or smoke. You are looking at his attitude backwards. He isn't telling you to eat at his establishment. He chooses to live the principles he believes in and he chooses not to serve alcohol. I would be surprised if he is even open on Sundays. I eat steak in fact I grew up on a cattle ranch and it never occurred to me that steak would taste better with a glass of wine. I'm not here to preach but I can tell you that all mankind would be healthier without alcohol and tobacco. I have respect for the few restaurant owners who practice what the believe. Btw. Love your video's.
Your discussion of driving the Peterbilt with a manual transmission reminds me of a meme I saw. The picture was of the gearshift of a 5-speed manual transmission. The caption was "Auto theft deterrent."
@@shadowbanned69 yes brother, I know what u mean. I was looking at your other video when you drove through that snow storm 3 weeks ago. Very good driving. I drove a big uhaul thru a blizzard from oregano to Washington. White out conditions, but nothing like what has happened two days ago.
I'm allergic to alcohol, so not for me. My face breaks out and get so red and then I get hives and itching all over. Such a beautiful area. At the time 101 the view was magnificent.
Goodmorning M.M.Mike hope you're haveing a great day. I prefer the laminated page's of atlas and or road maps. And it's awesome seeing all of the weather changes in such short distances. It's something I've never given it much thought to. And I love it. Looking forward to your Mountain Man Mike tshirt. I want one for sure. I thoroughly enjoy the road trips. For retirement I want to spend it on road trips with camper. Love driving in snow. It's way too beautiful. I love the view's of freezing rain the day after. Wouldn't attempt driving in it without chains only if I had to drive in it. The only think scary is thick fog where you can't see more than 3 ft in front of you. Had to pick up my son from work. 20 minute drive took me almost 2 hours at 5 to 10 mph. Drove by a parked semi will full light's. Couldn't even see it till I was almost beside it. Took longer because I missed my exit. I'm guessing fog is impossible to drive through with semi. And you keep driving in and out of snow. It amazes me. Enjoyed riding shotgun, loving the view, the sky is amazing. Later M.M.Mike. hope your daughter does well with it.
Just found this site today. Been bend watching most of day. You get those t shirts you were talking about, I'll Buy 2. One for me and one for my son, an old ex trucker. Best of luck out there. Take care love.
Two in one day I think I might faint😄

Love your show.. I have driven truck for over 30 years and I remember when the Jake was optional. I went down Eisenhauer like you with 80k and I got herdown the hill in one piece. Had that been a driver with ess experience that truck would have been in the runaway ramp.

Looked a lot different from our motorcycle that summer. Beautiful even in the snow. Blessings. Shiny side up!

Best one yet enjoyed seeing the countryside.
Nice video. Enjoyed. Be safe! 💜
