Mike's voice! While watching the video (3 days ago) I thought that the narrator's voice was the voice of actor Christopher Walken. Then it turned out to be the voice of Mike Pierce aka Riding Shotgun.
I started watching you a few months ago. My husband died Feb.17th and now I even watch reruns of your videos as for some strange reason I find your voice and chit chat calming. I really like the snow videos...nail biters at times. Thank you for your videos.

thank you so much, Riding Shotgun, i love your videos, the scenery and the countryside is absolutely beautiful, i am in Australia, love traveling with you across Colorado
Mike when i watch your vidoes i generally watch the whole thing. Love them and you can be quite funny at times. makes the videos super to watch... Thanks for the videos. Ginger
Never apologize for the long videos! I watch them all the way through, so much better than anything on TV. I miss trucking and you make me feel like I am back out there, even including the bad drivers I had to deal with. I was watching the weather channel today with the blizzard hitting Colorado and Wyoming, was hoping you were safe someplace and not out in it. Stay safe and Congratulations again on the house!
Keep the videos coming Mountain Man Mike you are doing a fantastic job I was a trucker in Minnesota and I love the scenery that you are showing us thank you very much
Always enjoy your videos. Have travelled many of those Colorado hi ways and like your commentary. Always wanted to have a chance to have a short ride in a big rig just to see what it is like. You give us an opportunity to just that. Keep posting, we need it. Especially in these crazy days we are living in, Stay safe.
Mike's voice! While watching the video (3 days ago) I thought that the narrator's voice was the voice of actor Christopher Walken. Then it turned out to be the voice of Mike Pierce aka Riding Shotgun.
I am so grateful for your videos!. I've driven many of these Colorado highways many times over my life but I always have to keep my eyes on the road. You allow me to actually take time to see the scenery without having to worry about the driving. I see so much more beauty because of it! Your commentary is just right. Please keep trucking videos! If you went left, it would continue on 141 through the Colorado Plateau to Junction. Beautiful stretch of road you should try another time.
Thank you Mike for the two hour scenic ride. I counted maybe three mountains you had to climb. Then going downhill and the flat land most of the time. Very happy to see you back on the road again. Really enjoyed this video.
So many great comments and I agree with them all! Good to great scenery, your right on common sense commentary and a long video make for a delightful and enjoyable way to spend some down time! Keep the great stuff coming!
I was a traveling nurse about twenty years ago had too drive those mountain roads year round loved being out there mountain driving and the beautiful scenery about 40yrars ago almost became a truckdriver I love watching your long videos my husband has terminal cancer and really likes to watch your videos it makes his day he used to drive trucks. It's our entertaiemt as we do not have tv he's knows Colorado very well in his service and trucking time. Pray for your file and your safety with crazy car drivers.
This Ga girl is living in NV and saw this video I cried you reminded me of my Dad and my Uncles who all drove trucks, and I know about the extra gears, Daddy used to play with and make us girls squeal. Mont Eagle tractor pulling a tractor and my Dad at the wheel what a character!! Thank you for sharing The Ride.
Thanks for allowing me to journey with you. If not I would never had seen the BEAUTIFUL SECERY. I have ridden with you on many trips and I have them all. Don Wilburn
Thank you for taking me home. I know every inch of the road from Redvale through Norwood Hill and San Miguel Canyon and over Dallas Divide. Now I’m homesick.
The Family enjoys your videos and your narrative. Love the snow runs and high plains. Peaceful and tranquil. 1 hour is perfect but if you go over it's just fine, just riding with you is like riding with my grandpa and his truck listening to his stories of the past which I miss.
Mt. Mike's musings ..good company, good info, beautiful scenery, appreciate the adventure ... hope Tshirts have some vista shots printed on them ... want hats and shirts! Best Wishes, great job your doing, great way to make the miles and accompany shut ins ... really enjoy riding w/you and your sharing ... muchas gracias!
Love listening to you....I get a laugh out of some of your stories......thanks for letting me ride shotgun! You allow me to travel and see the country while on my couch. But.....I would love to ride with you!
If you had turned left you take back way into Grand Junction. Came down from Junction a few years ago and took 141 at Whitewater south to 145 stayed in Ridgeway. Came home to Colo Spgs the next day on 50 to Penrose then up 115 to the Springs. I love riding with you. You sound like me talking to my kids.
I like the long rides. Thanks for dropping me off in Ridgeway. I hate it when you leave me in the middle of nowhere. I'm using your videos to plan my visit to Colorado later this year.
Mike; Thank you for this terrific video alternate to the adventures in the snow. You might call it " Colorado Mountain Greenery". I will save for a summer 'drive.'
Greetings from Wisconsin! Thanks for posting this. I like seeing the scenery especially in beautiful Colorado. I have not traveled to the Rockies yet nor seen Garden of the Gods. Its on my travel list. Stay safe. GBU. 🙋♀️☀️
HI MOUNTAIN MIKE...I JUST SO ENJOY RIDING ALONG WITH YOU. SO MANY MEMORIES FROM RIDING WITH MY HUBBY. WE GOT LOST IN MONTROSE ONCE AND A POLICE OFFICER FOUND US CREEPING OUT OF A VERY WIDE STREET IN A NEIGHBORHOOD. HAHAHA HE WAS SO KIND TO LEAD US OUT BUT WE THOUGHT WE WOULD GO TO JAIL FOR SURE, NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. I LOVE COLORADO AND MET A LOT OF LOVELY PEOPLE THERE. I LIVE IN WASHINGTON STATE AND MY SON IS A DRIVER NOW, HIS DAD HAS PASSED. ANOTHER GENERATION OF OLD SCHOOL DRIVERS THANKS TO MEN LIKE YOU WILLING TO SHARE WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS NOT OK IN THIS BUSINESS. BE SAFE AND GOD BLESS YOU
wife and I were on a road trip, we rode thru glacier park Montana. came out the Eastside, went north up into Canada. stopped in Cardson for the night. hotel price was ridiculous over priced, we walked out for dinner, I stopped at a grocery for a beer to drink back at the hotel. DRY TOWN! next morning I asked the hotel desk how much rooms cost going north? she says each town you can figure the price doubles at each one. I turned and went south back to good ole USA.
Wow Mountain Man Mike - awesome drive in that rig and thanks for taking all of us along in the shotgun seat and all the bouncing around too... Lol -- and what beautiful scenery too! Yes sir, your spot on with politics, get ready for high fuel prices and get ready for even more donkey politics too. I'm sitting here thinking to myself... wow, he got on a filming spree and posting spree all of a sudden, but I also know that there are times when you just don't have the extra time to mess with editing videos, downloading videos then posting for all of us to watch. Also, me watching those wacky wipers there, reminds me of a old retired wacky trucker that's teaching new drivers at the tech school. Many of those students that have seen your videos call your wipers... wacky wipers... Lol and a few of the students have even called me "wacky wipers" when I'm talking to them during your videos when I show the class a video. Lol Congrats on the new home purchase too in Grand Junction and you're the man helping your kids out; but that's what true fathers do too! Very proud to call you, my friend! Happy trucking trails and stay safe!
Sunday morning coffee and ride in truck. 😊 dam good thing your driveing. Last big truck i drove was a 13 speed mack dump truck in 1978. / 1982. Thanks. Enjoyed it.
More gorgeous scenery and, wow, did that steep dropoff come out of nowhere. Definitely needed more signage! I hope this route proved itself a good choice for you to drive because I'd love to see it in other seasons here and on Relaxation Highway! ✌🙂
I love your long videos I am disappointed when they stop. Love your voice too, (some of the other trucker shows they don't talk ot not much makes them boring) I think it is very relaxing and if I am sleepy I knock out and have to wake up reverse the video so I don't miss any thing. A lot of times you say ok thats it for this one but I would like to see you get to the destination.
Sir Mike !! LOOOONG Videos are fine here as won't be able to see what you see !!!HAHA Great clear vision ,NO interruptions !! Have a safe rest of your trip & ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!
Great Video better commentary. I like long videos. Now that I am retired out of transportation I can be a couch slug! Quote of the day "The mask is as useless as Joe Biden"
Mike, I just turned on YT and saw this Part Two and your opening comments. Yes, going left does take you to Grand Jct by driving thru Long Canyon and then to Gateway. At Gateway, you will continue on 141 until it "T's" and then you turn left again and you are then situated within spitting distance of GJ. I discovered this are by chance after staying overnight in Cortez. I saw some videos of the beauty for Long Canyon so I made it a point to drive and see it. I had to go the Rt 141 route until the R or L turn, for Grand Jct OR Montrose. I went left and when I got to Gateway, I turned around and drove back on 145 to Ridgway and then after the long drop into the valley, I drove north on 62. That drop into the canyon before your turn on Rt 62 was also something I didn't expect (just like the high ground area after Egnar). Very beautiful and I would love to travel those roads again. I was hoping that you were going to do this route as it helped me remember that area but this time now, with a dusting of snow. If you want to do a scenic drive, go thru Long Canyon on Rt 141, it will definitely be something to remember! Thanks for the memory jogging!
Mike : The English guy you refer to probably meant a TIPPER TRUCK, which mean a truck that raises it load into the air and via the rear doors , empties its load. A TILTER Truck is used for sideways motion and as it tilts it load sideways has a habit of pitching sideways leading to it overturning. But I think what you misheard was he said Tipper truck. Nice mountain rote that you took and on a clear day, be quite the thing to see down into the river below. Cheers.
Heard you talking about doing T-shirts on here one day. There is a place in Montrose Colorado, called “Hangin Sticky” that does T-shirts and Hats, and all sorts of promotional stuff. They don’t have a web site but are on Facebook.
If i remenber, this the position when 2 jets sheered by and your comment was "GET'AM BOYS'". They use this kind of valleys to exercise their terrain following radar. John
One day on my ride home from work, 2 fighters came screaming down that valley below Dallas Divide and flew straight up at us by the road. Then, disappeared. It was crazy.
One of the best parts of your vids - no annoying music. Just the truck, sounds of the road, and you.
Double agree
Triple agree!

Thank YOU 3M, enjoyed the conversation and views....
Thank you so much, but it would be more helpful if you include your changing gears and speed management,
