Great purchase, I've always loved the Exige (S1 & S2) but my advancing years and back issues mean it'll never be one I own however I can live through your ownership! Rest assured I've managed to soothe my broken heart with an Alpine A110S but those little Exiges are wonderful!. Cheers, Kevin
Similar to mine except mine is the non supercharged (which was deliberate) these things need to be driven, mines done 64k miles and has less mechanical problems than lower milage cars. I’ve spent quite a bit on it as it sat around during covid on grass sadly (not in my ownership) so I’ve had to rebuild the suspension front and back, I’ve got new Yoko ad08r which are awesome, and I’ve basically given it a full wet service and engine overhaul. As long as they are looked after they’re good! Just make sure the heater module has been done and you have an upgraded radiator. Also looks like your tracking is off and you shouldn’t be smelling fuel so get it looked at, these engines CAN wear cams so you don’t want excess fuel in the engine.
Totally agree these cars need driving! Considering the mileage the drivetrain did feel great! The radiator has been upgraded not sure about the heater module but will add that to the list as well as the cam, the car will be going in for a tweak up and new alignment soon… Tyres are also on the list ad08r’s are on one of the options
Great purchase! I love an exige and this one looks and sounds fantastic! The old top gear review of the S2 has to be one of the most memorable pieces of automotive film from when I was a kid, so it’s exciting to have some content coming on one!
The 2zzge is an awesome engine. 220bhp doesn’t sound alot but in that lightweight chassis it’s plenty. For context this lotus is 239bhp per tonne and an evo x is 187bhp per tonne
@@NaturallyAspirated I’ve had very few issues with mine in 3 years and I’ve used it a fair bit. We ran out of cameras this time! We are hoping to get this fixed for upcoming videos but need to sort out the fixing points etc.... and also practice our footwork haha !

The 4C is still with us luckily ! Ed’s Giulia Quad was stolen, there is a known weakness with the car that makes them crazy easy to steal if no precautions taken. We have done a video where you actually see the car get half inched! It’s crazy how quick it was gone !
Get in the comments below if you have any advice or recommentdations for Ed! Welcome to Lotus ownership!
Great looking car! Congrats! 😊👍🏻 Enjoy the heck out of it!

Much appreciated thank you !
Congrats Ed!!! What a car! Who knew a 4 cylinder could sound so epic! And only 2,000 miles a year 😀
The maths wasn't mathing! haha
Fantastic car, exciting purchase! Sounding particularly great!!
Enjoyed Ed’s revolutionary entrance method…game changer
Many many weeks of strategic planning went into that entrance 😂
Congratulations on the buy Ed! Look forward to plenty of videos!

Completely agree ! It’s a great engine! We might be trying to find an application for another 2zzge as well! That bhp per tonne is a solid number !
They are brilliant, you're going to have a lot of fun!! I have a S3 and its mega, any Exige is. Enjoy the ownership experience and use it :)
Thank you ! We are glad to hear your loving your S3! Any hints, tips or advice on Lotus ownership? Anything is welcome!

Editing was on point in this video. Good job lads.
Ahh thanks! That means a lot! Hope you enjoy more videos in the future !
Very very great job man! Did you try fixing a camera on the pedalbox to film your footwork for this video? :D

Lovely stuff...
If only the roof came off. So we thinking supercharger worth the extra cash for the extra fun? Or have just as much fun in a NA 111r? 🤔
@@AnthonyWilliams-vh1ds the roof does come off! You can buy a soft top from an Elise and after a £5 mod fit it!
@@lindo1234567890 are you serious?! I thought the first exiges were all hard tops!! That is a game changer. I only fit with the roof off.
I think the noise alone was worth a lot of the difference in cash !
@@lindo1234567890 well Ed def needs to do this!
@@AnthonyWilliams-vh1ds the series 1 Exige was technically only a hard top but Ed’s is a series 2 and the roof can be removed.
How long before the mods start?!
Any you recommend?

How was your 4C stolen? Burglary or car key scanner etc? Makes my blood boil.
